[email protected] OPENING FACEOFF WESTERN COLLEGIATE • Regular Season In Full Swing: After an undefeated regular-season opening weekend for WCHA teams, two league series HOCKEY ASSOCIATION are set to take place in Week 2. The Oct. 1 USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Poll included saw Ohio State move up one spot to No. 8 and Minnesota Duluth, who received votes in the preseason poll, crack the Top 10 as they slid into the tenth spot. Minnesota and Wisconsin remained at No. 2 and No. 1, respectively. MEMBER TEAMS Bemidji State University University of Minnesota BY THE NUMBERS • 44: Goals scored by WCHA teams during the weekend of Sept. 27-28. Wisconsin and Minnesota posted 10 apiece, University of Minnesota Duluth Minnesota State and Ohio State each added seven, Bemidji State put up five, St. Cloud State scored three and Minnesota Minnesota State University Duluth rounded out the league with two goals on the weekend.
