First-aid Measures Inhalation: First, take proper precautions to ensure your own safety before attempting rescue (e.g. wear appropriate respiratory protective equipment, use the buddy system), then remove the exposed person to fresh air. Keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing. Immediately call a POISON CENTER or doctor/physician. First-aid Measures After Skin Contact: Remove contaminated clothing. Immediately flush skin with plenty of water for at least 60 minutes. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse. Get immediate medical advice/attention. Special Hazards Arising From the Substance or Mixture Fire Hazard: Not considered flammable but may burn at high temperatures. 01/23/2018 EN (English US) 2/8 Diphenylamine added to Sulfuric Acid Safety Data Sheet According to Federal Register / Vol. 77, No. 58 / Monday, March 26, 2012 / Rules and Regulations Explosion Hazard: Contact with metallic substances may release flammable hydrogen gas. Risk of fire and explosion on contact with combustible substances or reducing agents. Reactivity: May be corrosive to metals. Contact with metals may evolve flammable hydrogen gas. May react exothermically with water releasing heat. Adding an acid to a base or base to an acid may cause a violent reaction. 5.3. Advice for Firefighters Precautionary Measures Fire: Exercise caution when fighting any chemical fire. Firefighting Instructions: Use water spray or fog for cooling exposed containers. Protection During Firefighting: Do not enter fire area without proper protective equipment, including respiratory protection. Hazardous Combustion Products: Carbon oxides (CO, CO2). Toxic fumes are released. Explosive hydrogen gas is generated by the action of acid on most metals and may accumulate in metal containers. Releases sulfur dioxide at extremely high temperatures. Other Information: Do not allow run-off from fire fighting to enter drains or water courses. SECTION 6: ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES 6.1. Personal Precautions, Protective Equipment and Emergency Procedures General Measures: Do not get in eyes, on skin, or on clothing. Do not breathe vapor, mist or spray. 6.1.1.
