Please find attached two related ideas for structural reform of U.N. financing. By focusing reform on the financial component, the Secretary General can help the White House address an area where the American public has long been misinformed: the amount that the U.S. spends on foreign assistance.
As the attached overview notes, these commons-based user fees simultaneously address several key areas that will continue to prove problematic absent an approach that systematically (i.e., as part of the funding) addresses debt relief, transparency and corruption while also creating a context that makes feasible other types of funding. I sent you a copy of this when it appeared. I hope it proves useful.
Also enclosed is a one-page commentary ("The Consensus Never Could Have Worked") for a U.K. compilation by the Business and the Environment Programme. Real reform requires an acknowledgment that the consensus is sub-optimal and that complementary means are available to generate purchasing power. Note that these means require hands- on engagement at the community (vs. national) level, another structural reform. I am happy to provide you more information on the practical applications. In the field of consciousness where this war is being waged (and where this systemic corruption resides), the power of association offers a powerful weapon. By associating Corsi with Mel, an opportunity is pre-staged to "spin" that engagement - regardless of the facts - by associating Mel with the fringe. Mel Rockefeller's experience with Jerome Corsi In November 1994, Mel met Bob Hertz who introduced himself as a nephew of the founder of the Hertz rental car company. Hertz introduced Mel to Corsi in a luxury suite at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas (paid for by Hertz). Corsi assured Mel that he already knew his identity because, "being in the anti-terrorism business, he and his partners routinely track Rockefeller family members." Wander contacted Great American and made the introductions that enabled them to present a proposal.7 In February 1995, Corsi, Mel and their partners met with key executives at Great American's offices in Cincinnati. Lindner's bio, posted on American Financial Group's website, calls him "the largest non-Jewish contributor to Jewish causes in the U.S.".8 The group stayed in the Cincinnatian Hotel whose owner (Lindner) paid for the rooms. Widely known as a "father figure" to Michael Milken,9 Lindner includes among his proteges Charles Keating who previously served as corporate counsel and executive vice president of American Financial Group. Keating became chair and CEO of Lincoln Savings & Loan, an Irvine, California S&L financed and controlled by Milken.10 A friend and political supporter of Georgia Congressman Newt Gingrich, Lindner gave $55,000 in 1994 to Gingrich's GOPAC (GOP political action committee).11 On April 4, 2004, Vice-President Cheney joined Lindner, owner of the Cincinnati Reds, for the opening day of baseball season.12 During the first week of March 2005, Lindner (a resident of Ohio) served as financier and host to Arnold Schwarzenegger as the Governor of California began a nationwide fundraising tour.13 • In support of the premise that Unfit for Command and Swift Boat Veterans for Truth were, for the operatives, a double blind cover, note that Carl Lindner and his sons donated $1,223,000 to the "anti-Kerry group."14 • Similarly, Lindner, a conservative Christian and major contributor to Jewish/Zionist causes, shares little in common with 'liberal Republican' Arnold Schwarzenegger, yet he led a fundraising effort for him. In February 1995, Great American executive Gary Howell informed Corsi that Lindner agreed to fund $100,000 for a conference in Poland15 to discuss the implementation of a mutual fund and the drafting of a business plan.16 In March 1995, Mel, Corsi and their partners traveled to Poland and met with Pyszczuk, representatives of Polish banks and government officials to prepare for the conference.17 Dr. Glenn Olds, Mel and Pyszczuk met with Nicholas Rey, U.S. Ambassador to Poland. When Dr. Olds asked Rey if he had any issues regarding Mel's relationship to the family, Rey assured them he did not (Rey knew that Dr. Olds had long known several senior members of the Rockefeller family).18 ##In mid-March, the Warsaw Business Journal published an article that claimed Mel was not related to the Rockefeller family and was a fraud. The report cited for that claim an unnamed source at the U.S. Embassy and Rockefeller family attorney Donal O'Brien who said he "believed" Mel's claim to the Rockefeller lineage was "groundless." That article undermined the conference and provided a plausible rationale for Lindner/Great American not to proceed with the mutual fund. That orchestration resulted in Minnesota investors being defrauded of approximately $1 million. Despite Mel's efforts to salvage a portion of the investors' funds,19 Minnesotan Brad Amundson and several investors met with F.B.I, agents and reportedly sought to blame Mel for the fraud. While interviewing those involved, an F.B.I, agent came to the office of Randy Schwake who had made some of the introductions in raising the funds. Schwake knew that Mel was innocent and that Mel was working diligently to recover the funds and expose those using this fraud to 5 Material excerpted from Criminal State™ by Jeff Gates© - Revised March 25, 2005 Personal & Confidential discredit him.20 Yet F.B.I, agents, according to Schwake, had no interest other than how to identify evidence affixing blame on Mel. After a tour of Schwake's offices at AgMotion, the staff of Norman Coleman, then Mayor of St. Paul, asked that Schwake provide the names of AgMotion's employees. At the time, Schwake was convening meetings with others to discuss the fraud. Criminal State chronicles the depth of the operative cells in Minnesota.21 During the Poland fraud, Corsi offered to introduce Mel to anti-terrorist expert Neil Livingstone whose "Crisis Management Inc." business plan proposed to service the market for terrorist threats.22 In compiling its advisory board, Corsi reportedly assured Mel that he had expressions of interest from former C.I.A. Directors James Woolsey and Bill Colby as well as William Cohen, Clinton's former Defense Secretary. In July 2004, Woolsey and Livingstone were profiled in a Los Angeles Times expose describing how advocates of the war in Iraq were profiting from reconstruction in Iraq.23 A member of the C.I.A. advisory board and the Defense Policy Board, Woolsey, now a vice president at Booz Allen Hamilton, was also a founding member of the Committee for the Liberation of Iraq. He now claims "second thoughts about the war" while serving as head of GlobalOptions, a firm that provides contacts and consulting services to companies seeking business in Iraq. In 2004, he emerged as a founding member and co-chair of "CPD ni" (the newly reformed Committee on the Present Danger) while Senators Joe Lieberman (Zionist Jew) and Jon Kyi (Zionist Christian) serve as honorary chairs.24 The stated purpose of CPD IE: to win "the global war against terrorism."25 Ambassador Nicholas Rey, former vice-chairman of the $240 million Polish-American Enterprise Fund, is now a principal in Intellibridge, chaired by David Rothkopf, former managing director of Kissinger Associates. In advertising their security services, Rey and Rothkopf offer the on-call assistance of authorities and advisers "available to you and your employees anywhere, anytime," including: Stephen Solarz, former chair of the House Subcommittee on Asia and the Pacific and a signer of the Project for a New American Century's 1998 letter to President Clinton; Brian Atwood, former U.S.A.I.D. Administrator; Nancy Birdsall, former Senior Executive Vice- President at the Inter-American Development Bank (1993-98); Morton Abramowitz, former assistant secretary of state for intelligence and research (1985-89); John Deutch who succeeded Woolsey as the nation's first Jewish C.I.A. Director (1995-96) overseeing Russia's massive loan-for-shares fraud that capitalized Russia's (dominantly Jewish oligarchs); Ambassador Richard Holbrooke (who Stuart Eizenstat brought to Atlanta to brief presidential candidate Jimmy Carter in 1976);26 former National Security Adviser Anthony Lake; and Al From, current president of the Democratic Leadership Council. Arkansas Governor Bill Clinton chaired the DLC prior to commencing his presidential campaign in 1992.27 Likewise Senator Joe Lieberman who resigned his position as head of the DLC eight years later to run for Vice President with Al Gore, Jr.28 In December 1997, Mel's counsel Ron Burd provided extensive documentation of the "Minnesota Investor Poland Fraud" to F.B.I. Special Agent Peter Cunningham at the Minneapolis office. In May 1998, Mel and Burd met with Special Agents Cunningham and Ragus in the Minneapolis office. Consistent with Schwake's account, the agents sought to fix the blame on Mel rather than investigate the fraud. However, that had been the first question Cunningham asked Mel when they were in his office as evidenced by the tape recording of that meeting. In the process of contacting Burd's client, the Fresno agents reportedly slandered Mel. Burd also sent correspondence to Coleen Rowley, counsel for the Minneapolis office, regarding the fraud, but she never replied. When an F.B.I, agent contacted Burd's primary client, a prominent physician, the agent implied that Mel was not credible,29 an oft-documented form of targeting that the research documented in dozens of venues. In this case, that comment by an authority (the F.B.I.) fractured the physician's positive impression of Mel and Burd. That systemic corruption is a classic example of how corrupted authority can corrupt a person's faith in their own judgment. That process (the systemic corruption of faith and authority) lies at the core of the trans-generational criminality imbedded in the model. After that contact, the physician stopped inviting Burd to their regular golf games with other prominent members of the Fresno community, incrementally marginalizing Mel's counsel, both socially and financially, and thereby increasing the psychological and financial pressure on both. Research confirmed that this type of targeting remains ongoing - with impunity. Rowley later reprimanded an F.B.I, agent for informing one of the defrauded investors that Attorney General Janet Reno visited the Minneapolis office and took Mel's file back to Washington. That investor (who knew of Mel's innocence) informed Mel what took place. At the time, both thought that involvement by the Department of Justice marked a significant breakthrough. Yet, again, nothing was done.30 Instead, in conjunction with Congressional hearings following 9-11, Rowley was praised in the media as a heroic whistle-blower when she testified that F.B.I. Director Robert Mueller failed to follow-up on her May 2001 memo about a 9-11 plotter (Moussaoui) who was training in Minneapolis. This "20th hijacker" had previously trained in San Diego where he roomed with another terrorist who died in the 9-11 attack. San Diego F.B.I. Agent Steve Butler paid rent and cashed checks for both terrorists. Four days after 9-11, Butler came to the home of Munther Ghazal to interrogate him. Ghazal reports that Butler was particularly interested in knowing if he was funding Mel Rockefeller. The Pre-staging for 9-11. In 1996, Mel met Munther Ghazal, a prominent Iraqi whose father built the Baghdad Hotel in the 1950s.31 Ghazal's father and four partners, two of them Jewish, built the first five-star hotel in the Middle East, featuring 222 rooms situated on eight acres in Baghdad, completed in 1958 (the Baghdad Hotel now lies at the heart of the Green Zone). Saddam Hussein took over the hotel. Ghazal and his family left Iraq after the first Gulf War. 2 Educated by Jesuits, Munther is a senior member of a prominent Christian Chaldean family that traces its heritage back centuries in Iraq. As a devout Catholic, he sponsored Mother Teresa's visit to Iraq after the first Gulf War. In January 1997, Ghazal and Mel traveled to Iraq together. During that trip they proposed a regional entity that would apply region-wide oil proceeds to fund education, technology transfer and prosperity sharing, a strategy consistent with a development model proposed by Dr. Glenn Olds (a long-time advisor to Mel) when he was Nixon's U.N. Ambassador for Economic Affairs, succeeding Phillip Klutznick in that position. A Chicago-based developer with Klutznick, Loeb & Crown (Park Forest, Oak Brook, River Oaks, Water Tower Place), Klutznick succeeded Julian Stulman as president of B'nai B'rith.33 In the early 1980s, 30+ Israeli- related political action committees intensified and targeted their donations to Congressional committees. A founding six-member board coordinated contributions of the largest pro-Israel PAC (National PAC) chaired by Marvin Josephson, CEO of International Creative Management, along with James D. Wolfensohn, Barry Diller (Paramount Studios), New York developer George Klein, Martin Peretz (publisher of The New Republic and a mentor to Al Gore, Jr. while he was a student at Harvard),34 and New York attorney Rita Hauser.35 Wolfensohn was appointed World Bank president in 1995.36 In 2001, Ms. Hauser was appointed to the President's Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board and to the President's Intelligence Oversight Board. Klutznick family members remain major Chicago donors to Israeli causes. When Illinois Senator Charles Percy, then chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, was defeated for reelection in 1984, pro-Israeli lobbies took credit. Bob Asher, former president of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (A.I.P.A.C.), reportedly still features the headline from the Chicago Sun-Times on the wall of his Chicago office: "Landslide: Simon Beats Percy." During Percy's first Senate campaign, his 21-year old daughter Valerie was stabbed and bludgeoned to death as she slept in their Kenilworth, Illinois home the night of September 18, 1966. On April 7, 1967, her twin sister Sharon married John D. Rockefeller IV, now Senator "Jay" Rockefeller, who was elected to the Senate November 1982. Attendees at their wedding included Michigan's Mormon Governor George Romney.37 Senator Rockefeller serves as senior Democrat on the Senate Committee on Intelligence. On their return from Iraq, Mel was rebuffed in his attempt to provide a briefing to State Department regional specialists. He repeatedly phoned Richard Haass who was then director of foreign policy studies at Brookings Institution and now serves as president of the Council on Foreign Relations. Haass declined to meet. From 2001 to 2003, during the crucial war-planning period, Haass served as State Department director of policy planning. Mel surmises that Haass' State Department post helped limit the range of policy options at a time when efforts were underway to ensure that alternatives to war in Iraq were available, acceptable and attractive. The husband of Nadal Hamdani (see below), and Sudeai Hussein, an international lawyer and half-brother of Saddam Hussein, agreed to champion their proposed "shared prosperity" model in concert with Egypt, Jordan, Syria and several North African countries, including Libya. Yet on their return to the U.S., Mel could not persuade anyone to meet with him in the State Department even though he had traveled to Iraq illegally where he also met with Dr. Hamdani, the physicist previously in charge of the industrial complex that ran Iraq's nuclear program. He also met with Dr. Sala Al-Hadithi, then senior counselor to Saddam Hussein.38 Rebuffed by U.S. officials, he traveled to Ottawa where on April 24, 1997 he briefed senior staff of the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade convened by Fred Matuk, head of the division in charge of Iraq.39 He also brought an offer from Saddam Hussein, relayed via Ghazal (who, during their visit, had met with Hussein and Iraqi Foreign Minister Tariq Aziz), offering U.S. firms the rights to 60 percent of Iraqi oil ~ including the Majnoon Oil field (which, 8 Material excerpted from Criminal State™ by Jeff Gates© - Revised March 25, 2005 Personal & Confidential i in Arabic, means crazy due to its size) exclusively for U.S. oil companies, plus 60 percent of an estimated $140 billion in reconstruction costs, with the balance to the EU, Russia and China. Ghazal, who has known both Hussein and Aziz for decades, reported that Hussein offered his cooperation as a means to stop U.S. air strikes in the No-Fly Zone,40 to lift the sanctions, and to forestall what he then anticipated would be a U.S. invasion. Mel and Ghazal proposed that Hussein be eased off the political scene, with the U.S. taking partial responsibility for his atrocities, including the chemical weapons deployed during the Iran/Iraq War.41 In 2000, Ghazal and Mel were invited to Afghanistan to discuss a potential oil deal with the person who was then head of the Taliban. That trip would have positioned Ghazal later to be identified as the (still missing) "high level contact" between Saddam Hussein and Al-Qaeda through the Taliban. Sensing Israeli orchestration (i.e., by those waging war by way of deception), Mel urged Ghazal to decline the invitation, which he did.42 Mel's repeated attempts to call these matters to the attention of federal and state law enforcement (dating from 1991) met with responses typified by Mark Cullers, Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Fresno office, who told Mel's attorney on August 20, 2003: "If powerful people in government want someone killed it will get done. The fact that he has lived this long undermines his story." In 1997, Mel had also commenced a series of requests for assistance directed to George Radanovich, his Congressman in Fresno, California - to no avail.43 Soon after Mel and I first met in London in 2002,44 he scheduled a meeting for February 16-17, 2003 in Tucson with Ghazal, Dr. Glenn Olds and I to discuss a proposed regional federalist structure for the Middle East that would dedicate a portion of region-wide oil proceeds to education, technology transfer and the financial (and monetization) techniques required to displace the consensus with a model capable of evoking shared prosperity. Nine days before the meeting, a member of Ghazal's extended family was murdered, leading Ghazal to cancel. The young man, 19-year-old Patrick Hammara, was a cousin of Ghazal's daughter-in-law and a student at the University of California, San Diego.45 Hammara was the nephew of two Iraqi businessmen with extensive business experience in Saudi Arabia and Libya. One uncle had been a German citizen for four decades. The two uncles, with companies specializing in off-grid power in Saudi Arabia and Libya, were interested in the shared prosperity development model proposed by Ghazal and Mel, including the proposal for distributed hydrogen power generation as a way to catalyze and secure local currencies and local exchange trading systems. Mel met with one of the uncles in Europe over the 2003 Christmas holidays. The uncle reported that he had been instructed before leaving the U.S. not to have any further dealings with Mel and was assured that, if he disclosed who instructed him, he would never again be granted a visa to visit family members in the U.S. Mel reports that, when they met in Europe, the uncle remained extremely frightened. Systemic Corruption Confirmed. Confirming the systemic nature of the corruption and the repeated use of Corsi as a tangential asset, consider: • In an October 1996 meeting in his suite at the Flemings Mayfair Hotel (in London), Mel informed David Alexander, CEO of Element Books Ltd., that he believed the Mossad was behind the fraud and the targeting he encountered in Poland and elsewhere. Alexander urged him to get back in touch as soon as the rewrite was complete. • On September 7, 1997 Mel told one of his advisors (in a private phone call) that David Alexander, CEO of Element Books, asked permission to give a copy of Mel's unpublished manuscript to Scotland Yard. He also told Alexander that he was preparing the final rewrite of his book. Mel's comments to his adviser were deliberately false. He felt certain that the Mossad was monitoring his calls. His call to the adviser was a 'sting operation' designed to elicit a response if the operatives were listening. Over the years, Mel discovered that he was better able to grasp how the Mossad's cell structure operates if he periodically planted disinformation and then watched it work its way through their structure, showing up in other cells and thereby enabling him to confirm connections between cells.47 In this case, Mel knew that Corsi had approached Element Books about a public offering, a subject that arose after Corsi met Alexander and his senior partner, Michael Mann, at the annual Frankfurt book show.48 Mel met Alexander and Mann when they visited New York at Corsi's urging to discuss a share offering of their company.49 Shortly after his early September phone call to his adviser, Mel received an early morning conference call from London. On the phone were an anxious Alexander and Mann voicing their concern that Corsi had just appeared in their offices proposing to acquire their company. Whereas Corsi appeared unable to arrange the funds for their public offering when they visited him in New York, he reportedly appeared at their offices with evidence of secured funds and was prepared to proceed with the proposed acquisition. Alexander and Mann told Mel that Corsi was particularly keen to see Mel's manuscript as he understood they had forwarded it to Scotland Yard and he wanted to see how he was treated in the book (the U.K. is well known for its highly protective libel laws).50 Mel explained that he would rather not explain Corsi's actions on the phone and, the next day, he sent a 5-page letter explaining the reason for his "sting operation" (a copy of that September 27, 1997 letter is appended). In that letter, he noted: • A similar sting operation was used to expose Bill Lucky, another Mossad asset. • He set up the sting with a phone call to his adviser, confirming that Corsi was acting on information that he could not have known absent a wiretap of Mel's phones and his cooperation in a Mossad-staged attempt to buy Element Books. • The likelihood that Princess Diana and Dodi Al Fayed were killed by the Mossad to prevent a Muslim from becoming close to the British monarchy. • His recommendation that Alexander file a report with Scotland Yard. • His concern that Scotland Yard protect Prince William and Prince Harry (based on his experience being targeted since he was a young child). • His conclusion that "the institutions (not the people) are the targets that are being carefully destroyed." On October 7, 1997, Mel received a fax response from Alexander (appended) expressing his concern that Mel used Element Books to run his (successful) sting operation. 10 Material excerpted from Criminal State™ by Jeff Gates© - Revised March 25, 2005 Personal & Confidential Note: despite (or because of?) evidence that Jerome Corsi was a Mossad asset, the Minneapolis office of the F.B.I, chose to deploy a form of misdirection remarkably similar to that utilized in the investigation of the operatives behind 9-11. As confirmed by recent investigations, there is no evidence of Al Qaeda 'sleeper' cells in the U.S.51 Yet the 9-11 terrorists had logistical support while training in the U.S. Is the attempt to blame "Muslim terrorists" equivalent to the corrupted authority that attempted to blame this Corsi-orchestrated fraud on Mel rather than investigate Mossad assets such as Corsi?52 Double Blind Covers. As mentioned above, Corsi's participation in the publication of Unfit for Command-was a 'double blind cover.' Its purpose was not to criticize Kerry but to associate in the public's mind the President's mean-spiritedness when he criticized Kerry. True to profile, John McCain played a key role. Criminal State likens McCain to The Manchurian Candidate in the way that he performs "on cue" as an asset in helping advance this systemic corruption. That includes McCain's help in preparing the field of consciousness for 2004 when, during the 2000 elections, a group not directly related to the Bush campaign made it appear that the President was mean spirited for criticizing McCain, a war hero.53 Another "double blind cover" was deployed (in the field of consciousness) when, four years later, an aggrieved war hero (McCain) broke ranks with his party to come to the defense of another aggrieved war hero (Kerry).54 True to profile whereby assets are used repeatedly (as with Corsi), the primary remaining remnant of McCain-Feingold campaign finance "reform" is the prevalence of "527" organizations such as Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, the primary financial sponsor of Corsi's double blind cover during the 2004 election season.55 Corsi is the first person from whom Mel heard the phrase "preparing the minds" which Mel has since used to explain the key role of popular culture in manipulating the public's consciousness, as detailed in an October 2001 memo he distributed to European leaders titled "Popular Culture fronting Terrorism".56 Similar "prepare-the-minds" orchestration was in evidence when, in the lead-up to the 2004 election, the public consciousness was exposed to a news conference on an anti-terrorism bill supported by Lieberman, Shays, Specter, Lehman, and other pro-Israelis (including McCain). Specter appears to have considerable experience with double blind covers dating from when he first emerged in the national field of consciousness as counsel to the Warren Commission. Systemic Corruption Goes to Scale. When Mel first met Corsi a decade ago, he was in business with anti-terrorism expert Neil Livingstone and former C.I.A. Director James Woolsey. When Paul Wolfowitz and other war-planners were preparing for war, Woolsey was dispatched to Europe to make the case for WMD as the rationale for the war in Iraq. When Ahmad Chalabi (picked for this position in the 1970s by Richard Perle and others) was ejected from the interim government in Baghdad, Woolsey hurried to the White House to plead Chalabi's case, accompanied by Perle and Newt Gingrich. To grasp the multi-layered staging for Corsi's Unfit for Command, recall that the 2000 voter dispute in Florida is remarkably similar to what unfolded in 2004 with the Swift Boat Veterans campaign. The operatives wanted G.W. Bush as president in 2000. Lieberman as Vice President would have made the orchestration altogether too obvious, particularly when paired-up with Gore whose family history is also too transparent, including his father's close alliance with Armand Hammer, Gore's collaboration in the fraud on Russia through the Gore-Chernomyrdin Commission, his daughter Karenna's marriage into the Schifif family, and his son-in-law's 11 Material excerpted from Criminal State™ by Jeff Gates© - Revised March 25, 2005 Personal & Confidential employment by a George Soros-funded biopharma-ceutical firm.57 Plus, by losing that race, Lieberman gained the stature of a presidential contender within the status-conscious Senate, a perception that proved useful in staging him to lead Senate action on the reform of U.S. intelligence agencies as the Senate responded to the report of the National 9-11 Commission - where Israeli orchestration was not mentioned.58 In the lead-up to positioning a predisposed personality for the White House (i.e., a Born Again Christian), the operatives only needed to focus on a few key variables to set the decision-making environment for 9-11. As the research confirmed, in today's political environment, $50 million in well-timed political contributions can preempt a presidential primary by organizing a few well-heeled contributors.59 Once the chief executive post is determined, the operatives needed only load up the intelligence channels with pro-Israeli operatives (Wolfowitz, Perle, Libby, Feith, Bolton, Wurmser, etc.) and the decision-making stage was set to ensure that the U.S. would wage a war for Greater Israel when catalyzed by 9-11. With the proper pre-staging and well-timed orchestration, the risk of any alternative to war could be minimized. Within an acceptable range of probability, the decision-making was framed pre-9/11 in such a way that war was all but guaranteed post-9/11. Staff up the executive branch with those whose inflated egos are easily manipulated (such as Cheney and Rumsfeld); surround key decision- makers with pro-Israeli assets delighted to provide corrupted intelligence (for which Ahmad Chalabi and his son are now famous) and, within that frame, the risk of any alternative to war was remote. How do those who wage war "by way of deception" manipulate a presidency without being seen? Manipulate the field of consciousness to assure predictable responses to well-timed crises. Deploy assets like Jerome Corsi to help contain factual accounts - such as Mel's half-century of experience - that could expose this "quantum corruption".60 Massage the mental environment (with pro-Israel media and popular culture) so that misdirection becomes second nature as 'evil doers,' The Clash of Civilizations and the plausibility of dot-disconnects prepare the minds to accept war in the Middle East as a rational response to a mass murder on U.S. soil. Criminal State confirms that this systemic corruption is ancient.61 Research encompassing the modern era chronicles an unbroken line of pre-staging and orchestration dating at least as far back as the Treaty of Versailles, identifying fields-with-fields of influences that continue today to manipulate decision-making worldwide. As for Jerome Corsi and his publication of Atomic Iran, the multi-layered, interwoven workings of a double blind cover were illustrated with the publication of Unfit for Command when Benjamin Ginsberg resigned as national counsel to the Bush reelection campaign after it was revealed that he advised the Corsi/Swift Boat Veterans. Ginsburg is likely innocent of any conscious complicity (mens red). Yet Ginsburg's resignation helped deflect attention from the hands-on operatives who staged Corsi to be used. Anyone daring to suggest behind-the-scenes orchestration by pro-Israeli operatives knows that even hinting at that charge in conjunction with Ginsburg's resignation would attract a withering barrage of anti-Semitism charges from the Anti- Defamation League. He also documents how Mossad volunteers (sayanim) are not told the purpose of their volunteer activity, insulating these operatives from the state of mind (mens red) required to prove criminal complicity in this systemic corruption under linear legal systems. Research suggests that the Mossad could have 1.2 million sayanim operating in the U.S. Had anyone engaged Mel and learned from his first-hand experience, Corsi's involvement in the Minneapolis Poland Investor Fraud (1996-98) would have been ringing bells at national security three years before 9-11. Instead, 42 months after 9-11, the targeting of Mel continues with impunity, the same assets continue to reappear (such as Corsi), and behind-the-scenes operatives continue to repeat the identical behavior patterns that pre-staged 9-11 and the war in Iraq, only this time their target appears to be Iran, Syria and beyond. The reappearance of their repetitive behavior patterns suggest that the next well-timed crisis may be in the U.K. or Europe, providing Israeli extremists with their next plausible excuse not to make peace. The Israeli warehousing of chemical weapons in Europe62 suggests that bio- terrorism or a pandemic is one of several plausible "terrorist scenarios" that could be orchestrated and plausibly blamed on "Islamic terrorists" or others, such as the I.R.A. if the strike occurs in the U.K.61 The fact that Mel has yet to be engaged only confirms the depth of the systemic corruption and adds weight to the charge of treason that will be levied in Criminal State and will be attributed to the U.S.-Israeli relationship. When Mel contacted him in 1994-5, Amundson said that he owned an interest in a Polish company and that he wanted to be involved in what Mel was doing in Poland. 5 Amundson introduced him to Randy Schwake, then the president of a small bank in Claremont, Minnesota. Schwake confirmed these accounts in an interview in Minneapolis and conversations since. 6 Mel met Pyszczuk, a Polish national, through Jacob Nowicki, his nephew in the U.S., who said his uncle wanted to invest $1 million in the U.S. to qualify for a green card. Mel introduced Pyszczuk to Michael Bailey of San Diego-based Innovatech as a potential reseller of software products in Poland. In September 1994 Mel and Bailey traveled to Poland and formed Innovatech Polska, a Warsaw-based joint stock company, 60 percent owned by Pyszczuk and 20 percent each by Mel and Bailey. He then claimed he had already invested the entirety of his capital ($3 million) in a coal and sugar deal in Belarus through Innovatech Polska 7 Following the Minnesota-Investor Poland Fraud (explained below), Mel remained in touch with Wander who was an integral part of a Polish insurance company Mel sought to establish in 1996 with Fresno- based physician Maciej Kopacz and several partners. While finalizing details of an arrangement whereby Wander agreed to relocate to Warsaw, Kopacz terminated the transaction. In 2000 Wander became involved with AquaTreat International, Inc., a Delaware Corporation, and IMR Corporation, an Oklahoma entity that claimed ownership of proprietary water treatment products (Clearwater™). Wander and the principals of those entities proposed that Mel raise the funds required to purchase international rights to their proprietary products. After expending considerable effort, Mel discovered: (a) the products were not proprietary, (b) Wander had a previously undisclosed financial interest in one of the entities, and (c) Wander was aware of the misrepresentations. 8 An active member of the Baptist Church, Lindner is a major benefactor of Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy, a school founded by Carl H. Lindner III. 9 Along with insurance firms owned by Saul Steinberg and Meshulam Riklis, Lindner's American Financial Group was an early investor in Drexel Burnham Lambert's high-yield ("junk") securities. Riklis acquired Lewis Rosenstiel's shares in Schenley Industries in 1967. Rosenstiel wife, Leonore, become the wife of Walter Annenberg who became Reagan's ambassador to the Court of St. James (London). Son of mobster "Moe" Annenberg, Walter transformed the profits of the family's racing wire service into Triangle Publications (T. V. Guide, Seventeen) and gained a political voice through his purchase of The Philadelphia Inquirer. In 1989, Annenberg liquidated $3 billion of his wealth, including The Racing Form, in a sale to Rupert Murdoch. President and Mrs. Reagan routinely spent New Year's week at Sunnyland, Annenberg's Palm Springs estate. When Queen Elizabeth visited Palm Springs in February 1983, the co-hosts for her dinner were Leonore Annenberg and Jean (Lehman) Stralem, wife of Donald Stralem, manager of Rothschild funds in the U.S. and the person for whom Mel's Uncle Bob (Lt. Col. Robert Cunningham) worked in the geopolitical shadows. In 1983, Mel picked up his Uncle Bob at the Stralem estate in Palm Springs, a week after Queen Elizabeth's visit, and drove him to the home of one of his Hollywood friends in Malibu. Leonore Annenberg was raised by her uncle, Harry Cohn, head of Columbia Pictures. Previously married to Belden Kattleman, a Las Vegas businessman, she then married Lewis Rosenstiel who during Prohibition smuggled liquor from England, Europe, and Canada via Saint Pierre and then, by truck, into Cincinnati, the hometown of Rosenstiel and Lindner, building what became Schenley Distillers. Edgar Bronfman and Rosenstiel met often during the latter's trips to Canada and became card-playing friends. Rosenstiel sold Schenley to Meshulem Riklis in one of the first junk bond-financed leveraged buyouts when the Istanbul-born Riklis paid for Schenley with high-interest bonds owed by Rapid-American Corp., a firm owned with Carl Lindner. Riklis, who bought the Riviera Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, tutored Michael Milken, then a young bond broker (Riklis was reportedly Milken's first customer at Drexel Burnham Lambert). Milken raised $160 million for Steve Wynn to build Wynn's Golden Nugget casino in Atlantic City. Riklis, an Eastern European Jew who served with the Israeli Haganah, acquired the Riviera, built in 1955, from the "Chicago Outfit" then headed by Mafia don Sam Giancana who, at Joseph Kennedy's urging, arranged for his son John to win the 1960 presidential primary in West Virginia. In two separate venues, Mel was drawn into the orbit of New York's Jacobs family whose members were closely associated with Michael Weinberg, an upstate New York hoodlum who moved to Las Vegas in 1952 with Steve, his ten-year-old son, since renamed Steve Wynn. Wynn became an understudy of Texas mobster Benny Binion, a friend of Lyndon Johnson until National Crime Syndicate "chairman" Meyer Lansky helped Binion relocate to Las Vegas. Wynn was known in Vegas as the "adopted son" of Mormon banker Parry Thomas whose Bank of Las Vegas made the first loan of Teamster pension funds to Las Vegas (in 1958) in the amount of $475,000 to assume a loan made to acquire Paradise Valley, a golf course that Greenspun wanted. Greenspan had been an Israeli gunrunner in 1948 (with Lansky's support) and thereafter performed as a life-long Mossad operative. Commentators insist of Greenspun that "He's like God in Israel" ... his "contribution to the establishment of the Jewish state is widely considered to be greater than any other American." Compared to what Greenspun did for Israel, The Jerusalem Post wrote, "Jonathan Pollard's act was pure innocence." Nevada's Riviera is not to be confused with its counterpart, the Riviera Havana, owned by Meyer Lansky who offered $1 million for anyone who would kill Fidel Castro after the Castro government expropriated the Floridian mobster's property. 10 In the 1970s, Charles Keating and Cincinnati chief prosecutor Simon Leis, Jr. pursued Larry Flynt and his Cincinnati-headquartered Hustler magazine. Simon Leis was a Catholic prosecutor. The pursuit of Flynt was led by Citizens for Decency Through Law, founded by Keating with help from the Cincinnati Enquirer, run by his brother Bill Keating. While in Cincinnati, Mel was told over dinner February 9, 1995 by the President of Great American Insurance that when Lindner discovered Keating put a murder contract on Flynt (Keating's daughter had recently been raped and he blamed it on the porn king), Lindner terminated their business relationship and dispatched Keating to Phoenix. Larry Flynt traveled to Phoenix in 1968 (where Mel was drawn in 1973) to investigate "go-go dancing." On his return, he opened his first go-go club in Dayton. By 1973, he owned eight clubs employing 300. He also published a two-page newsletter for his strip-club clientele that, by June 1974, became Hustler. Circulation soared in August 1976 when he published photos of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis sunbathing nude. Flynt moved Hustler to Los Angeles after undergoing a religious conversion in 1977 when he met evangelist Ruth Carter Stapleton, sister of President Jimmy Carter. In 1978, on the first day of an obscenity trial in Georgia, gunshots left him paralyzed from the waist down. He renounced his conversion and moved into a Bel Air mansion once owned by Errol Flynn. In 1984, Mel's computer services firm, AlphaBase Systems, provided Hustler with $240,000 of computer services. Penthouse publisher Bob Guccione sued Flynt in 1976 after Hustler published a Guccione cartoon. In 1984, televangelist Jerry Falwell sued Hustler for libel after Flynt published a Campari ad parody depicting a drunken Falwell talking about his "first time" with his mother in an outhouse. In court, Falwell was represented by Norman Ray Grutman, long-time lawyer for Guccione. In February 1988, the U.S. Supreme Court voided FalwelFs judgment against Flynt. Mike Lewis, Guccione's nephew, later emerged as another of Mel's short-lived business colleagues when they traveled together to attend a meeting in Atlantic City, New Jersey. 11 Senator Bob Dole, a Republican from Kansas, used Lindner's corporate jet when he ran for president. Lindner also gave $500,000 to the Clinton re-election effort the day after Clinton's U.S. Trade Representative Mickey Kantor filed a formal complaint against the Europeans on behalf of Chiquita Brands International, Inc., a direct descendant of United Fruit Co., in which, at year-end 2003, Lindner owned 7.6 percent and American Financial Group owned 30 percent. Chiquita filed a protest with the WTO when the EU agreed to allow 80 former colonies to import their bananas duty-free. Chiquita won their banana dispute, setting a WTO precedent that, based on consensus model framing, the financial interests of a single firm can override preferential trade treatment offered developing economies, including those countries composing the former British Commonwealth. United Fruit's activities in Latin America and the Caribbean are the origins of The Ugly American, an earlier (successful) attempt to discredit the U.S. in a key region. 12 Lindner purchased the Cincinnati Reds baseball team for $182.5 million in 1999. 13 Dean E. The senior person on Schwarzenegger's transition team was Detroit native Eli Broad whose 'fields with fields' of influence in Mel's life date to when Mel was age six and living in a Detroit suburb (those confirmed facts were included in the April 2004 "Rice memo"). Schwarzenegger's first appointment as Governor was Broad confidante and friend Richard Riordan who served as mayor of Los Angeles. On February 16, he called Mel to report that he had received a call from Polish interpreter Elizabeth Wasiutynski who quizzed him on Mel's relationship with his father. Mel immediately contacted her. She reported that it was Corsi who had raised the issue, to her great surprise. Mel then called Corsi who called her a liar. 17 Janusz Quandt, the President of BPH, then the largest bank in Poland and a potential supporter who expressed keen interest in the mutual fund, was fired a week before their scheduled March 6, 1995 meeting. This sequence of events was confirmed in an interview with Dr. Glenn Olds who accompanied Mel on this trip. 18 At the time, Dr. Olds (of Polish descent) was also in Poland on a mission for Laurance Rockefeller, an assignment unknown to Mel until later. In an interview, Dr. Olds portrayed Ambassador Rey in unflattering terms. On his return to the U.S., Dr. Olds wrote Secretary of State Albright expressing his concerns about Rey. While at the University of Denver, he was a close friend of Joseph Korbel, Albright's father. Mrs. Albright did not respond. During our first meeting in Tucson in February 2003, Dr. Olds offered a personal recollection about former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, her family and her epiphany in February 1997 upon discovering her Jewish heritage. As a Methodist minister, Dr. Olds was the 29-year old chaplain at the University of Denver in the 1950s, appointed to that position by Chancellor Al Jacobs who previously served as Provost at Columbia when General Eisenhower was recruited to serve there briefly as president. Dr. Olds met the train on which Ms. Albright was arriving in- transit from London with her mother. Then a 13-year old child with pigtails and braces, Madeleine stepped off the train cradling the family menorah wrapped in a cloth which she removed to show Dr. Olds the family treasure. Her maiden name was Maria Jana Korbel, daughter of Joseph Korbel, Warsaw Bloc defector and former Czech Ambassador to the United Nations. As a world-famous defector, Korbel became a high-profile professor of international studies at the University of Denver where he worked out of a four-block complex of buildings donated by Texas oilman H.L. Hunt, a fundamentalist Christian and then America's richest man. Three of Ms. Korbel's grandparents, a paternal aunt and a first cousin reportedly died in Auschwitz. As Dr. Olds told me: "It seems to me unbelievable that she did not know of her Jewish heritage." 19 On June 30, 1995 in preparation for a meeting the following day to discuss recovery of the investors' funds, Mel and counsel Ron Burd met with Randy Schwake. They explained what had happened in Poland, what questions to ask Pyszczuk at a meeting the following day and proposed a plan to protect the investors' remaining funds in Poland while also keeping Pyszczuk in the jurisdiction of the Minnesota courts (by taking his passport). Unknown to Mel and Ron Burd, that evening Michael Bailey arrived in Minneapolis and, over dinner with Amundson and Schwake, sought to convince Schwake that Mel was manic-depressive and schizophrenic. Schwake confirmed this account in a July 16, 2004 interview in his St. Paul offices at Agmotion, Inc. 20 Over the next three years, Mel and counsel Ron Burd invested significant time and resources in an attempt to recover the funds, including reporting Pyszczuk to Polish authorities. However, each time they believed action might be taken, Amundson reportedly undermined their efforts, leading them to surmise that Amundson, a registered broker with Piper Jaffrey, was complicit in the fraud. They were also told that Piper Jaffrey waited six months to suspend his license and then quickly restored it. They were also informed that in June 1995 Pyszczuk placed in the records of the Polish company an entry indicating that Ron Burd was paid $100,000, an apparent attempt to stage Mel's counsel for criminal and civil charges. From a concerned insider in Poland, Mel and Ron Burd received a fax copy of a crude cut-and-paste forgery featuring Mel's signature and making it appear that he had confessed to a sex crime in Poland. 21 As Schwake explained: "I thought it was rather unusual and asked Rolf Peters who was CEO of AgMotion what he thought about the request. He was miffed and said, 'No way, what would they need that for? Tell them no.'" The Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations in its November 15, 2004 hearings estimated that the Saddam Hussein government made at least $21.3 billion on illicit oil trades, twice the previous estimates and 12.5 times the amount identified by former Federal Reserve Chair Paul Volcker. Subcommittee Chair Norman Coleman of Minnesota said (a) he doubted that fraud of this scale could have gone undetected by Secretary General Kofi Annan, and (b) the scale of the fraud created a "dark stain" over the U.N. that raised questions whether the U.N. could put in place and monitor sanctions anywhere (implying the futility of U.N. sanctions in lieu of a preemptive attack on Iran by Israel or the U.S.). Before his election as mayor of St. Paul in 1993 (as a Democrat), Republican Senator Coleman served 17 years in the Minnesota Attorney General's office. He was elected to the U.S. Senate eleven days after the incumbent, Democrat Paul Wellstone, perished in a plane crash. Coleman's assignment as chair of the Subcommittee on Investigations is a position once held by Harry Truman. Coleman's official biography indicates that he grew up in a large Jewish family in Brooklyn. Further discrediting the U.N. during this sensitive crisis, Dore Gold, former Israeli ambassador to the U.N. (1997-99), released Tower of Babble: How the United Nations Has Fueled Global Chaos, a sequel to his 2003 book supporting the war and its expansion to encompass Greater Israel: Hatred's Kingdom: How Saudi Arabia Supports the New Global Terrorism. In the fall of 2003 Mel and I traveled to Michigan as part of the research. Just as we began a meeting with Doug Martz, the senior water-quality specialist in St. Clair Shores (Mel's childhood home), Martz received a 35-minute phone call from Michigan Senator Carl Levin who, Martz told us, had not initiated a call to him in more than three years. 22 Mel gave this information to the F.B.I, in 1998, including a 24-page memorandum describing Crisis Management Inc. prepared by Neil Livingstone. 23 Walter F. In 1976, it was reconstituted to promote the 'missile gap' and the 'window of vulnerability' that led to massive deficit-financed Defense Department spending during the Reagan era (1981-89). During the Cold War (1948-1989), U.S. taxpayers devoted $12.7 trillion to Pentagon spending (in 2000 dollars). A review of the CPD's website-featured members reveals much about the make-up of this organization, as does the name given their website: www.fightingterror.org 26 As domestic policy adviser to President Carter, Eizenstat took over that position from the Ford Administration's William Seidman who previously served as finance director for Michigan's Mormon Governor George Romney. At the urging of Edgar Bronfman, president of the World Jewish Congress, Holbrooke appointed Eizenstat as Special Envoy for Property Claims to the World Jewish Restitution Organization, an effort established by Israel and the World Jewish Congress. Samuel Bronfman, Edgar's father, served as president of the Canadian Jewish Congress from 1939 to 1962. Eizenstat acknowledged Bronfman for bringing pressure that helped generate $8 billion in settlements from private firms in the European Union: Swiss, German, Austrian and French. Eizenstat laments that he failed in his attempt to use the authority of the U.S. to persuade the EU "to leverage its own admission process" to put pressure on the restitution process. Eizenstat, Bronfman and Lawrence Eagleburger, chair of the International Commission on Holocaust Era Insurance Claims, promoted a globally coordinated effort that resulted in the enactment in 1999 of a Governor Gray Davis-supported California statute allowing the suspension of insurance company rights to operate in the world's fifth largest economy unless those companies paid Holocaust claims. [California Insurance Code Section 790.15 and Insurance Code Section 13800 - the Holocaust Victim Insurance Relief Act of 1999] On several occasions, Mel met Jason Barzilay or his partner, Daniel Platzker, who claimed a direct hand in lobbying Davis for that provision. Barzilay, CEO of Argoquest, a venture capital firm, was former Israeli military, as was Platzker. The general manager of Argoquest Israel at the time was Major General Ami Ayalon, former head of Shin Bet. hi Imperfect Justice (2003), Eizenstat conceded that the payments to Holocaust victims were a "pittance". The typical $7500 payment to elderly victims of a six decades ago crime is equivalent to paying them $14.73 in 1945. As Eizenstat argues in Imperfect Justice: "the last lesson on the Holocaust was not money but memory." To date $350 million in reparations has been set aside for Holocaust education projects. This globally coordinated effort, backed by the authority of U.S. government, led to the formation of a 10-country task force on Holocaust education meant to support national "memory days" and "programming in schools." As of June 2004, the U.S. was home to 20 Holocaust memorials and museums. To date, 17 nations have established commissions to revisit their roles in handling Holocaust-era assets. Critics charge that the Holocaust has morphed into a formidable ideological tool in the hands of a nation-state (Israel) with a horrific record on human rights. In an Information Age, commentators charge that this "memory management" has proven effective in creating for Israel an "immunity to criticism, however justified" by "evoking historic persecution to deflect present-day criticism." Now head of the international practice at Covington & Burling, Eizenstat's law firm announced October 2003 a strategic alliance with Kissinger McLarty Associates offering "seamless representation" and "comprehensive legal and business consulting services" that will make use of "attorneys, diplomats, negotiators, financiers, lobbyists, policy- and opinion-makers, and intelligence analysts." Eizenstat also joined Kissinger McLarty as a Senior Advisor. McLarty, a childhood friend of Bill Clinton, served as his White House chief of staff. The goal: a "one-stop-shop for insight, analysis, advice, strategy and support." Covington & Burling/Kissinger McLarty Associates Press release (October 3, 2003), In December 2001, after hiring a public relations firm, Yukos Oil, led by Mikhail Khodorkovsky, founded the Open Russia Foundation, reportedly to support education and cultural projects. Modeled after George Soros' Open Society Institute in Russia, the five trustees include Khodorkovsky, Henry Kissinger and Jacob Rothschild. Stuart Eizenstat serves on the Yukos International Advisory Board and lobbies on behalf of Yukos in the U.S. and abroad. Menatep, Khodorkovsky's first firm, managed the Russian government's auction of oil giant Yukos, enabling Khodorkovsky and his partners to initially acquire 78 percent of Yukos with its 11.5 billion barrels of proven reserves, for $159 million or ~1.4 cents per barrel (on March 17, 2005, crude oil for April delivery hit $53.46 per barrel). Yukos reserves were then equivalent to British Petroleum prior to its merger with Amoco. An Eizenstat-orchestrated public relations campaign has portrayed President Putin's imprisonment of Khodorkovsky on tax charges as a sign of Russia's retreat from private property principles and a return to its communist past. 27 Original funding for the Democratic Leadership Council was provided by stock swindler Michael Steinhardt, son of Manhattan's legendary jewel fence Sol "Red" Steinhardt, a close friend of the (dominantly Jewish) mobsters of his era, including Arnold Rothstein. The night before Rothstein's death in 1928, he went out on the town gambling with Steinhardt. Rothstein was known as Mr. Big, The Brain, The Fixer, the Big Bankroll, and The Man Uptown. Crime historians view him the spiritual grandfather of organized crime in the U.S. A mentor to New Yorkers Meyer Lansky, Bugsy Siegel, Frank Costello, Lucky Luciano and Johnny Torrio, Rothstein is credited with transforming the nature of crime, making it genuinely systemic. A year after his death, his proteges convened in Atlantic City to establish the National Crime Syndicate and Murder, Inc. Two years later, syndicate "chairman" Meyer Lansky convened a Jews-only conference in Manhattan's Franconia Hotel. Moe Annenberg, father of Walter (Ronald Reagan's best friend for 50 years), reportedly borrowed from Torrio the funds required for the racing wire service that stretched from east to west coast and from Canada in the north to Cuba and Mexico in the south. Moe and Max Annenberg provided the intimidation component for the newspaper wars in Chicago and New York. When Annenberg defrauded his business partner in Chicago, Al Capone (who moved to Chicago from New York) sided with Annenberg's partner, prompting Annenberg to relocate to Miami where he enlisted the protection of Meyer Lansky who controlled the wire service in Florida. In return for keeping Annenberg alive, Lansky reportedly received a larger share of the racing wire proceeds and, in 1936, brokered an agreement that kept Capone's killers at bay so long as Annenberg paid Capone a.tribute of $1 million per year. Moe and his son moved to Philadelphia in the mid-1940s where, after Moe's death soon after his release from prison in 1946, Walter's Triangle Publications (and particularly The Philadelphia Inquirer) transformed the mobster's son into an influential voice in the Republican Party. 28 The second-listed manager at Intellibridge is Admiral Steven Smith who (from July 1996 to July 1998) served as the senior military officer assigned to Walt Slocombe, then Under Secretary of Defense for Policy. Slocombe is married to Ellen Seidman. Ms. Seidman, Director of the Office of Thrift Supervision (1997-2001), was previously a special assistant to the White House National Economic Council (1993- 97) where she chaired the interagency working group on pensions. Between 1980 and 2004, the amount of funds under management in the U.S. grew from $1,900 billion to -$19,000 billion, with 55-60 percent of those funds held by retirement plans subsidized with tax incentives that average $110 billion per year. 29 Burd's account was confirmed in an interview with this physician in his medical offices in Fresno, California. Ron Burd, both an engineer and a lawyer, is meticulous in his documentation of such events on a contemporaneous basis. In this case, the incident was documented in July 1998 correspondence that he sent to Nina Collins of the F.B.I. Fresno office. Consistent with the systemic nature of this corruption, he received no response. 30 Bernard Nussbaum was then While House counsel. 31 Ghazal founded and manages Ail-American Plastic Bags, Inc. in San Diego. Since his arrival, he has become a grandfather to eight grandchildren, including six born in the U.S. 32 In an interview, Ghazal reported that he felt that his life was in danger soon after Saddam Hussein called him into his offices to discuss the circumstances whereby Ghazal smuggled his family's two Jewish partners out of Iraq in the trunk of his car. Ghazal said he explained that the men were like uncles to him and that he felt morally obliged. 33 Philip Klutznick was a close friend and colleague of Dr. Glenn Olds (see infra) who Mel first met in 1994. Dr. Olds and Mr. Klutznick both served as U.S. Ambassadors to the U.N.. Klutznick also served as chairman of the World Jewish Congress and as Secretary of Commerce in the Carter Administration. 34 Shortly after 9-11, Peretz lobbied President Bush to attack Iraq. Nixon's departure was catalyzed by a clumsy gift of $54,000 in cash from political sophisticate Arrnand Hammer to political sophisticate (and Nixon fundraiser) Maurice Stans. In 1995, Mel met Guilford Glazer through Russian physician Vladimir Zelman who was Hammer's personal physician for the last 22 years of his life. On Christmas Day 1995, Glazer called Mel and asked what he thought were the roots of anti-Semitism (a 'quantum' analysis, titled "The Roots of Anti-Semitism," can be provided on request). Enroute to the U.S. to assume his residency, Zelman lived for six months in Baron Rothschild's estate in Italy. Glazer, a primary financial supporter of Russian dissidents, also supported "refusenik" Natan Sharansky, author of The Case for Democracy. By announcing "It's a great book," President Bush immediately branded it "Bush's book," particularly after he told CNN that the book "summarizes how I feel. I would urge people to read it." Sharansky is now widely cited by Ms. Rice. Note in the Rice memo the key role of Warren Rustand in the Ford White House and George Romney at HUD (then a new agency and, even then, notoriously corrupt). When Mel lived in Arizona during the 1970s, Rustand, a member of his Mormon Ward, routinely invited him to play tennis during which he quizzed Mel about his father (the Mormons are world famous for their genealogical records). Mel did not petition the court to take his family surname until 1993. Note also the role of members of the Irvine, California First Ward of the Mormon Church in orchestrating multiple frauds against Mel, as chronicled in the Rice memo. Cox's fear-inducing remarks of Feb. 17, 2005 to the Conservative Political Action Conference are consistent with the operatives' oft-repeated behavior, including his comment (as chair of the House Committee on Homeland Security) that "we continue to discover biological and chemical weapons and facilities to make them inside Iraq." Research will chronicle Cox's role in the proposed transfer of U.S. military port facilities at Long Beach to a Chinese shipping firm (COSCO) and his support for the suboptimal sale of real estate under military base closure procedures at Irvine's Heritage Fields (former El Toro Marine Base). Criminal State details Guilford Glazer's participation, including the role of Knoxville-based Glazer Steel in building the nuclear reactor at Oak Ridge, Tennessee, where Israelis may have stolen U.S. nuclear secrets. John Kennedy was murdered soon after he insisted on U.S. inspections of Israel's nuclear facilities at Dimona, signaling displeasure with Israel's intent to develop nuclear weapons. Glazer likely played an oversight role for Mel's wife and children when, after Mel left his family (to protect them while he profiled the perpetrators), his ex-wife was drawn to Knoxville by a promise of marriage to Mormon Bob Rankin who abused Mel's children and kept him from seeing them for several years. In response to questions about Church-related matters affecting Mel and his children, Mormon Church counsel Oscar McConkie sent a 3-page letter that included statements in conflict with known facts, along with a statement describing Mel as "irrationally suspicious (McConkie also represented Rankin). Soon after receipt of that letter, Fresno police detectives lured Mel to City Hall with a promise of the assistance he has long sought. In December 2004, I attempted to schedule a meeting for Mel with Radanovich aid Ted Maness who laughed while referring to "Mr. Rockefeller's saga." 44 The day after I first met Mel is when I first met Bill Emmott, editor of The Economist, who invited me to share a lunch in the executive dining room of this Pearson PLC publication. I was in the U.K. to give the annual "Brunei Lecture" in Bristol. Olds and Rockefeller devised several sensible and sustainable (i.e., non-consensus) means for financing (and monetizing) health care both in developing countries and in fiscally constrained environments worldwide, financial innovations of considerable interest to Charlene Gorbet (see infra, note 39). When a Pearson agent called Mel at the Flemings Mayfair Hotel, a professional colleague overheard her comments as she reportedly mocked, belittled and laughed at him. In the course of that conversation, this FT employee informed Mel that she had contacted the office of Senator Rockefeller. Yet the F.B.I, chose to focus its investigation on Mel. 53 John McCain has long been the Senate's most ardent non-Jewish supporter of pro-Israeli causes. McCain came to Congress with the financial backing of father-in-law James Hensley who distributes ~60% of the beer and liquor in Arizona. The Hensley brothers began business as partners with Kemper Marley whose Bronfman-associated United Liquors cornered much of Arizona's wholesale liquor business in the post-Prohibition era. When brother Eugene Hensley entered federal prison in 1969, he sold his interest in Ruidoso Downs, the local racetrack, to a firm that immediately signed a 20-year concession contract with Emprise Corporation owned by the mobbed-up Jacobs family of Buffalo, New York. [Mel was twice drawn into the orbit of Jacobs family members.] William Rehnquist defended Hensley against his falsification of records at Marley's distributorship. In 1986, Ronald Reagan appointed Rehnquist Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. A 1953 investigation found that Marley ran a racing wire service that handled bookmaking for the Capone gang. Marley was widely suspected of ordering the car-bomb murder of Arizona Republic reporter Don Bolles who exposed Marley's business and political dealings (Marley was identified by the man convicted of the murder). Marley reportedly bestowed a Budweiser distributorship on James Hensley. At the behest of Charles Keating, former Executive Vice-President and General Counsel to Carl Linder's American Financial Group, McCain became the first member of the Keating 5, a group of five Senators who delayed reform of the massive savings and loan fraud, adding an estimated $50 billion [CK] to the cost of the taxpayer bailout. The Keating-led Lincoln Savings & Loan was financed and controlled by Michael Milken. McCain also backed a Bronfman/Seagram's proposal to allow televised liquor ads. Best known for his advocacy of campaign finance reform following his involvement in the S&L fraud, critics generally agree that the key effect of McCain-Feingold campaign finance "reform" has been to legitimize unlimited special interest funding (through "527s" organizations such as the Swift Boat Veterans) while also doubling the amount that well-to-do people can give directly to candidates. The 1968 Senate campaign of California Senator Alan Cranston, one of the Keating 5, was chaired by Detroit native Eli Broad. Research will determine if Broad helped recruit Cranston to assist Keating, Lindner's protege. 54 Consistent with the 'double blind cover' template, Senators Lieberman and Schumer were first to warn about the vulnerability of U.S. ports to terrorist attacks. That alert enhanced insecurity and created a market for security-providing firms while also providing the Senators 'plausible deniability' should a fictional Sum of All Fears storyline play out in fact as a nuclear explosion in a U.S. port (this 2002 film featured a Ukrainian nuclear device smuggled into a U.S. port). In 1986 Mel met Bill Dufty, husband of silent film star Gloria Swanson from 1976 until her death in 1983 (Swanson had a high-profile affair with Joe Kennedy in the 1930s). Dufty was a former lover of jazz singer Billie Holiday and wrote with her Lady Sings the Blues. In 1975, he published Sugar Blues, based on materials provided by Swanson, a health advocate. An early organizer for the United Auto Workers, Dufty served as a speechwriter for United Auto Workers President Walter Reuther. A bisexual, Dufty told Mel that he often saw McCarthy Hearings Chief Counsel Roy Conn in the gay baths in Manhattan (Conn died in 1986 of complications from AIDS). At Dufty's death in 2002 at age 86, he reportedly left his first-person account (written in the 1940s) of the influence of the Jewish mob on the Italian mob and their control of J. Double blind covers assign F.B.I, agents to pursue high profile drug users (such as Billie Holiday) while ignoring the drug cartels, shut down brothels while frequenting gay baths, blackmail homosexuals while sexually abusing young boys, discredit communist writers while cooperating with fascist politicians, imprison Italian crime bosses while cooperating with their Jewish collaborators and the systemic corruption that enables both, prosecute a few executives while leaving systemic criminality intact (as with Thomas Dewey in the 1940s, Rudy Giuliani in the 1980s, and Eliot Spitzer today). According to Dufty, columnist Jack Anderson and Joe Matuso, who Mel met at Dufty's home, crafted the first portion of a paper chronicling how McCarthy and Cohn created a 'Red Scare' to deflect attention away from the systemic corruption while also deploying intimidation to take over Hollywood by targeting those unwilling to cooperate with the use of popular culture to advance their mental-manipulation agenda. McCarthy's misdirection was similar to the "Palmer Raids" of November 1919 and January 1920 when J. Edgar Hoover, under Woodrow Wilson Attorney General A. Mitchell Palmer, ordered the arrest of more than 16,000 people on suspicion of being communists. Hoover was then head of the Bureau of Identification. In 1924, he was appointed Director of the renamed Federal Bureau of Investigation where he (and his fabled dossiers) remained until his death 49 years later after serving under eight presidents, from Coolidge to Nixon. When he died in 1972, Nixon ordered his office sealed (Nixon's 1950 Senate campaign received generous donations from Los Angeles mobster Mickey Cohen). However, Hoover stored his most sensitive files in the office of Helen Gandy, his personal secretary, who reportedly destroyed them. In his autobiography, Leonard Garment, White House counsel to Nixon, chronicles the central role of Detroit's Max Fisher, a key Nixon fundraiser in 1968, noting: "my organizing...meetings for the American Jewish leaders with Nixon and Kissinger. The principal force behind these meetings was Max Fisher...." Akin to a Meyer Lansky of the Midwest, Fisher served as tihe detail man for Detroit's Purple Gang when booze and drugs flowed across the Canadian border from the Bronfman-run distilleries to the Michigan-based mobsters. Fisher died March 3, 2005. The New York Times obituary made no mention of his mobster past though it told how Gerald Ford dispatched Fisher and Henry Kissinger in 1975 to heal a diplomatic rift between the U.S. and Israel over Egypt. In 1975, Carl Lindner took over United Brands and named Fisher as chairman. United Brands was called United Fruit until it was acquired by AMK in January 1969. After CEO Eli Black fell to his death from his 44th floor office in the Pan Am Building in 1975, Lindner and Fisher took over. Black's son, Leon Black, soon thereafter emerged as head of mergers and acquisitions at Drexel Bumham Lambert. Fisher and United Fruit became key conduits for moving Israeli arms into covert wars in Latin America, culminating in Iran-Contra in the mid-1980s. The term 'Banana Republic' stems from the political behavior of United Fruit in the region. Under Lindner's leadership, United Fruit's purchase of 40 percent of Rapid-American Corporation provided majority owner Meshulim Riklis with resources to purchase for Ariel Sharon his Negev Desert ranch. After Nixon's resignation (under threat of impeachment), Gerald Ford granted Fisher's request to name Garment to the UN Human Rights Commission, granting Garment the authority of the U.S. that he used to pressure Russia on the immigration of Jews. Working with Garment and Fisher, with funding provided by Guilford Glazer. Throughout the Carter presidency, Garment and Stu Eizenstat (Carter's domestic policy adviser) pressed the immigration issue with help from Henry "Scoop" Jackson (a.k.a. "The Senator from Boeing") and Richard Perle, Jackson's key aide (1969-80), who focused on passage of "Jackson-Vanik" linking Jewish emigration to the shipment of U.S. grain to the Soviet Union. In the midst of the 1986 SALT talks (Strategic Arms Limitation Treaty) in Iceland, Ronald Reagan and Mikhail Gorbachev were on the verge of reaching an agreement to eliminate all nuclear weapons. At the time, Reagan sought an exception to allow U.S. development of a missile defense program. Gorbachev sought to limit the program to laboratory work for ten years. Had Reagan agreed to that proviso, nuclear weapons might by now be eliminated. In a subsequent interview, Richard Perle boasted that Reagan sought his advice on the laboratory-only offer. The elimination of nuclear weapons by the U.S. and the U.S.S.R. would have pressured Israel to end a nuclear weapons capability that, since Nixon struck a deal with Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir, has remained intentionally "ambiguous." 55 Named after the section of the Internal Revenue Code that authorizes their use, "527" groups like the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth are exempted from federal campaign contribution limits provided their message is "issue oriented" and not directly connected to a candidate's campaign. 56 For example, Pearl Harbor was released May 25, 2001, providing 14 weeks to prepare the national field of consciousness for the plausibility of the intelligence dot disconnect of 9-11. The film Sum of All Fears, released in 2002, featured a Ukraine-manufactured nuclear device that entered U.S. ports in a soft drink machine aboard a container ship. 57 Because Mel has known Glenn Olds since 1994 (and Dr. Olds has known the President's father for 50+ years), Mel was approached in 2001 by Lt. General Arie Kumaat, then head of Indonesian intelligence, who asked that he help identify a trustworthy back channel to the President. Kumaat informed Mel that he was reluctant to share his concerns with U.S. officials in Jakarta when Indonesian intelligence reportedly discovered a $30 billion Israeli bribe to the Indonesian Parliament (fronted by a George Soros NGO) to push the U.S. out of South Asia in favor of China. After Paul Wolfowitz advised Nixon and Ford on arms control (1973-77), Carter appointed him Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Regional Programs. Reagan then named him head of the State Department's Policy Planning Staff (1981-82), Assistant Secretary of State for East Asia and the Pacific (including Indonesia), and then U.S. Ambassador to Indonesia for three years. During the administration of G.H.W. Bush, he served as Defense Secretary Cheney's Under Secretary of Defense for Policy (1989-93). During the Clinton era, he served as Dean of the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University, with campuses in Washington, D.C.; Nanjing, China; and Bologna, Italy. He received a doctorate in political science from the University of Chicago in 1972. In 2000, in a meeting with Mel and YouthStream President Ben Bassi, Harlan Peltz, then chair of YouthStream Media Networks, offered to phone Clinton National Security Adviser Sandy Berger. Peltz is the son of Nelson Peltz, an early beneficiary of the junk bond- financed leveraged buyout boom of the 1980s where, with the help of Michael Milken, Peltz and Peter May took over National Can. Harlan boasted to Mel that both Berger and World Bank President Jim Wolfensohn were close friends due to his mother, Lauren Veronis, who married John J. Veronis of media merchant bankers Veronis, Suhler, Stevenson. Mel and Bassi briefed Peltz on their upcoming trip to China. While their negotiations in China were ongoing, Peltz contacted CYC Net, the Chinese contracting party, and told them Bassi lacked authority to negotiate the contract on which Bassi and Mel had briefed Peltz prior to their departure. Bassi hurried to the office of YouthStream attorney Nicholas C. Howson at the Beijing office of Paul, Weiss. On Howson's desk, Bassi reported that he saw three faxes from George Soros. Two days later, Bassi and Mel adjusted to the Peltz setback and convened a meeting with then Deputy Minister of Education Liu Bin with whom they successfully negotiated an exclusive contract to provide an Internet education portal for secondary and college-age students throughout China (-235 million students were then under the care of Liu Bin's Ministry). Peltz declined to go forward with this deal, confirming for senior executives at Nokia (who had agreed to joint venture on the education portal) that Mel was being targeted. Nokia Ventures affirmed their willingness to proceed with the deal provided YouthStream resolved their contractual agreements with Mel. Instead, Peltz walked away from a contract potentially worth hundreds of millions to his shareholders according to Bassi. Bassi had previously served as vice-president for business development at Lycos, Inc. — remembered as "the fastest IPO in the history of the NASDAQ" — and vice-president for Sales at Firefly Network, Inc. when it morphed into Microsoft Passport. Mel and Bassi report that YouthStream Chief Financial Officer Bruce Resnick sold YouthStream shares worth $20 million the day before Peltz undermined their negotiations in Beijing. In January 2001, Rupert Murdoch's News Corp. invested in YouthStream. Two weeks after I interviewed Bassi in October 2003, he was fired from Liquid Machines, Inc. where he was vice-president for sales. When, at my request, he inquired how long senior managers had contemplated his dismissal, he was told two weeks. Now frightened and reluctant to talk, Bassi was also audited by the IRS. (CICC), Morgan Stanley's investment banking venture in China in which Morgan Stanley owns 35 percent and China Construction Bank owns 42.5 percent. As the first approved investment bank in China, CICC earned $261 million in underwriting fees in 2000 for the launch of China Telecom, China Unicom and PetroChina. Mel asked Ms. LaRoche in March 2001 if she would consider leading an education/tech-transfer/prosperity-sharing venture in Indonesia similar to what he and Dr. Glenn Olds proposed for China and Iraq. In response to her expression of interest, he sent her a package of materials. Between the time he mailed the materials and called her back (about two weeks), Vice-President Cheney reportedly spoke with her for a half hour about her willingness to be appointed president of the Manila- based Asian Development Bank, a regional counterpart to the World Bank, committed to consensus-style development. Instead, she reportedly opened a furniture store in Connecticut, specializing in Asian furniture. 58 As Director of the Miller Center for Public Affairs at the University of Virginia, the nation's largest research center of the American presidency, Philip Zelikow, Executive Director of the Commission, reportedly told a University of Virginia audience Sept. 10, 2002: "Why would Iraq attack America or use nuclear weapons against us? I'll tell you what I think the real threat [is] and actually has been since 1990 - it's the threat against Israel. And this is the real threat that dare not speak its name, because the Europeans don't care deeply about that threat, I will tell you frankly. And the American government doesn't want to lean too hard on it rhetorically, because it's not a popular sell." Zelikow's candid assessment was not included in The 9-11 Commission Report. 59 Texas political operative Jim Baker concedes that the U.S. has not seen an open presidential nominating convention since 1976. Instead, political conventions now serve as "coronations" (as he put it). Criminal State chronicles circumstances confirming that the 1976 date should be pushed back much earlier. 60 Research suggests that Corsi's mental state helps make him a useful asset and an asset that can easily be discredited at an appropriate time. For example, two independent reports confirm that, in a pique, he inflicted several hundred thousand dollars of damage to a corporate-owned condominium in upstate New York. The firm reportedly declined to seek reimbursement for fear that the company's reputation would be harmed should anyone discover the firm employed a person with such an unstable mental condition. 61 "Memory management" serves as a key strategic factor in manipulating the field of consciousness so that decision-making remains largely foreseeable (i.e., within an acceptable range of probabilities). That mental-environment component appears analogous to what information technology specialists call the "residual remainder." In this case, the decision-shaping influence that remains operative is the impressions retained in consciousness after the factual information fades. Criminal State chronicles the key role of popular culture and media in the manipulation of this continuum between fact and fiction and the residual that's retained in memory. That residual, if managed, becomes a powerful means to manipulate the global field of consciousness as this systemic "quantum corruption" goes to global scale through the globalization of popular culture and media and their influence on a global mental environment. 62 The facts suggest that Israelis have long been stockpiling weapons of mass destruction in Europe as evidenced by a 1992 El Al crash in Amsterdam where investigations revealed that a jet belonging to El Al, Israel's flagship airline (a passenger jet with no passengers), was carrying an undeclared 42 gallons of dimethyl methylphosphonate (DMMP), enough to produce 270 kilograms of the deadly nerve gas sarin, the same gas used to terrorize Tokyo's subways in March 1995, killing 11 and injuring 5,500. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu claimed that the ingredients were enroute to Tel Aviv so that the Israeli military could test their gas masks in case they were attacked by their enemies in the region. Where other firms leave off, GUI begins. CHI will provide a full range of extraordinary services to corporations and prominent individuals unmatched by any other company in the world. "If you have only one call to make, call us," will be the motto of the firm. As more and more companies become international in their scope and reach, they encounter problems never before imagined or anticipated by corporate executives, or taught in leading business schools. Natural disasters, wars and revolutions, industrial accidents, product tampering, kidnappings, recovery of assets, disgruntled employees, internal investigations, evacuation 2 of fiiek or Injured employees, protection of intellectual property, prevention of industrial espionage: these and other problems will •be the staple issues addressed by the crisis managers of CKZ. Today many of the firms moving rapidly to address this market opportunity are public relatione companies, and this has led to a situation where all-too-often the public relations tail is wagging the crisis management dog. While public relations is an important element in the resolution of crises, public relations firms are ill-equipped to deal effectively with the kinds of extraordinary problems facing companies today. They generally lack the experience, appropriate international expertise, close relations with public officials and law enforcement authorities, and the ability to put real resources on the ground at the site of the .crisis in order to make things happen quickly and effectively. Law firms also lack this capability, although they are often the place clients go for advice when they have unique and unusual problems. consequently, it is anticipated that law firms are likely to be the source of numerous clients. In addition, every crisis has a legal dimension, often large in scope, suggesting that the proposed firm should have a strong legal capability. Few blueprints exists for addressing the unusual array of problems noted above. All have distinctively unique elements that require unique solutions, cm will work with corporate CEOs and Boards of Directors to craft individual solutions tailored to preempting or resolving crises before they produce adverse publicity, impact negatively on stock prices and profits, or, as in 3 the case of the Pan An 103 disaster, threaten the very efficacy and existence of a company. In addition to its emphasis on intervention, what makes the proposed company unique is that it will bring all of the diverse talents necessary to addresses crises available under one roof: o mitigation/preparedness/response/recovery o security o legal o public relations o logistics No company with such comprehensive capabilities exists in the world today, although some firms will attempt to perform the above functions on an ad hoc basis. The limitations of such an approach should be obvious. The proposed firm, it must be emphasized, will not be a security company, nor will it provide, except under very special circumstances, ongoing security services to clients. Exceptions, .however, could arise in such areas as the recovery of assets, the protection of intellectual property, and the prevention of industrial espionage. In addition to computers and state-of-the-art communications equipment, the center will have clocks shoving the time in different world capitals, naps of the world, an AP ticker, television sceens that monitor all of the major networks and CNN, and an audio-visual center for giving presentations to potential clients as well as briefing company employees. Operators will dress in dark suits and ties except when in the .field. During training exercises and demonstrates they will don company caps and windbreakers. Related Opportunities Consideration should be given to developing various additional capabilities that potentially could be spun off the core company as subsidiaries or public-owned companies. Mel and I met in London in November 2002. Early research confirmed that he possesses a photographic memory dating from age 1-1/2, a helpful asset in documenting a half- century of complex facts.
