Entries to be judged according to the NAFAS Competition Manual 3rd Edition 2015 Bases and Drapes are allowed but must be free standing. No backgrounds allowed. Classes 1-6 & 10 staged on tabling, 76cms from ground Classes 1& 2 covered in pale blue material Classes 3-6 covered in pale green material Class 7 staged on the ground in exhibitors own wheelbarrow, Class 10 covered in black material Classes 1-6 & 10 to be viewed all round, but judged from the front Class 7 to be viewed and judged all round Classes 8-9 viewed and judged from the front

7. IN A WHEELBARROW: An exhibit in a Wheelbarrow- size optional. Plant material to predominate. Exhibitors must bring their own wheelbarrow, to be displayed on the ground within the Floral Marquee. Prizes 1st £5 2nd £3 3rd £1

8. IN THE FOREST: A PEDESTAL EXHIBIT: Staged on the ground on a wooden base 60 cms square, 5cms high. Space allowed: 122 cms width, 182 cms depth, height optional. Prizes 1st £8 2nd £5 3rd £3

9. SENSE OF OCCASION: A CLUB EXHIBIT Title to be stated. Staged on the ground on a wooden base 151 cms square, 8 cms high. Space allowed: 182 cms width, 182 cms depth 243 cms height. Maximum of three people to stage the exhibit. Prizes 1st £10 2nd £8 3rd £5 Prize money sponsored by Wessex and Jersey Area of NAFAS

10. DECORATED BOOKMARK: CHILDRENS’ CLASSES: AGES 4-7 & 8-11 A CRAFT exhibit. Plant material to predominate. To fit in a Size DL envelope.To be posted in ready assembled and staged by the show committee. All entries will receive a Certificate. (see entry form for further details) Prizes 1st £3 2nd £2 3rd £1 Prize money sponsored by Wessex and Jersey Area of NAFAS FLOWER ARRANGEMENT SECTION REGULATIONS FOR COMPETITORS

1. NOTICE OF ENTRY – Intending Competitors must give notice in writing, on the form provided by Monday 24th June 2019.

2. EXHIBITS in all classes must be the work of the Competitor and must be arranged in the Marquee on Staging Day, with the exception of Classes 1, 2 & 10. A power point will be available.

3. COMPETITORS may not enter more than one exhibit in each class.

4. CARDS, corresponding with the entries and tickets will be issued by the Chairman in the Marquee on Staging Day. VEHICLE PASSES will be issued from the Show Office.

5. COMPETITORS who have entered 2 classes or more (which must include at least one of classes 3-8) will receive ONE vehicle pass and admission for one person for any one day.

6. COMPETITORS in Class 9 will receive TWO vehicle passes and admission for THREE persons for any one day.

7. RECEPTION OF EXHIBITS – Exhibits will be received from 9.30am to 6.00pm, on the Monday prior to the show (except for Class 10) and must be finished that evening by 7.00pm. Class 9 to finish by 6.30pm.

8. WATERING, if necessary, will be done by the Committee.

9. ALL VEHICLES must be removed to the Exhibitors’ Car Park, by 8.30am on all Show Days.

10. REMOVAL OF EXHIBITS. Exhibits may be removed from 5.00pm on the third day of the Show. Except for Class 10 – (which will be returned to competitors only if a suitable SAE is included with entry).

11. CUPS to be returned to the Show Office by FRIDAY 24th May 2019.

12. ALL CUPS are perpetual and cannot be won outright.

13. The DECISION of the JUDGE shall be final. Protests must be handed , in writing , to the Chairman together with a deposit of £5 before noon on the first day of the Show but such protest will only be considered if referring to some infraction of the rules and if not sustained, the deposit will be forfeited. A Quorum of five, consisting of three Stewards and two Members of the Society’s Board of Directors, Will consider any such protest and their decision which will be given, if possible, before the close of the Show, shall be final.

14. SPECIAL NOTICE – The most careful arrangements will be made for the presentation of all articles on exhibition, but the Agricultural Show Society will not be responsible for the loss of any exhibits or any damage they may sustain on their way to, during, or from the Exhibition Area. # CERTIFICATE OF ENTRY I wish to enter, subject to the Rules and Regulations of the New Forest Agricultural Show Society.
