ln pursuant to the order no. dated 378/HSIPA/20 dated 14th July, 2020 issued by Addl. Chief Secretary & Chairman, Enforcement Task Force, Home & Hill Affairs and P.A. Dept. and in pursuance of meeting held on COVID Containment in G.T.A. areas on 23.07.2020, comprehensive town-wide lockdown will be in force in Darjeeling Municipality, Kurseong Municipality and Mirik Municipality for Seven (7) days w.e.f. 26.07.2020 (Sunday), 9 AM.
The following activities/establishments will remain closed/prohibited during the above mentioned period in the above said Municipal areas:
L. All offices, govt. and private (except the offices providing essential services, Health Services and involved in COVID management, Treasury, Banking, PDS Distribution, Law and Order, Disaster Management, Electricity, Fire and Emergency, Courts and Correctional Homes) 2. All religious, social activities (except for marriages and last rites of deceased within the allowable partici pant limit) 3. All market complexes and shops selling non-essential items
On the days of state wide lockdown, restrictions/exemptions imposed by the Chief Secretary, Govt. of West Bengal vide memo no. 283-CS/2020 dated 2L.07.2020 will be in force.
