Sandakphu trek is beautified by the local villages of Darjeeling district and Nepal. It’s a border line trek between India and Nepal, and we keep swinging between the regions and villages of Nepal and India. The best part of it is, its an easy trek and considered the best of the Himalayan routes to start a multi-day trek in the Himalayas.
Sandakphu at 3636 meters is also the highest point of West Bengal - India. No other treks in India can boast of what Sandakphu Phalut trek can offer. The view from Sandakphu is unsurpassed by any view anywhere with grand views of four of the World's highest 8000 meter peaks - Mt. Everest (8850m, 1st), Kanchenjunga (8586m, 3rd), Mt. Lhotse (8516m, 4th) and Makalu (8481m, 5th).

Detailed Itinerary: -
Day 1: Sat. 16 Feb 2019 Rishikesh - Delhi Meet Shikhar travels representative at your hotel and drive or take a train to Delhi. Upon arrival check in the hotel. Overnight stay in Delhi. Meals: N/A
Day 02: Sun. 17 Feb’19 Delhi – Bagdogra - Darjeeling Flight & Drive Morning after breakfast transfer to domestic airport to board flight to Bagdogra. Upon arrival proceed to Darjeeling 2045 M (drive 70 km) the famous tea state of India. Rest of the day free at leisure. Overnight stay in hotel in Darjeeling. Meal: - Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner
Day 03: Mon. 18 Feb’19 Darjeeling (Sightseeing) After breakfast we drive to happy valley tea Garden. Later we visit to the famous Himalayan Mountaineering Institute which has a museum specializing on the various expeditions on peaks of the Himalayas and an exclusive Everest Museum which tells us the history along with its expeditions to Everest. Later Enjoy toy train ride (ticket is subject to availability).
After Lunch Ghum Monastery (Yiga Choling Buddhist Monastery) which has the image of Maitreya Buddha (the future coming Buddha) and drive back to Darjeeling and visit the upper market.
Later drive back to the hotel for overnight stay. Meal: - Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner
Day 04: Tue. 19 Feb’19 Darjeeling - Maneybhanjang - Tumling Drive & Trek 11 Km After breakfast drive to Maneybhanjang the starting point of the trek. The days walk, about 06 hrs, is uphill and the trail passes through small village of Chitre and forests of Rhododendrons and Magnolias. Overnight at Tumling. Overnight stay at Lodge or tent. Meal: - Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner
Day 05: Wed. 20 Feb’19 Tonglu/Tumling – Kalipokhri (2970m) Trek 9 Km /04 hrs After breakfast we undertake a pleasant walk through the forest which is home to the rare Red Panda and the Tragopan. Dinner and overnight at Kalipokhrii. Overnight stay at Lodge or tent. Meal: - Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner
Day 06: Thu. 21 Feb’19 Kalipokhari – Sandakphu (3636 M) Trek 6 Km Sandakphu Trek continues. After breakfast, start the trek to Sandakphu (3636m) which takes about 06 hrs. On a clear day one can see the peaks of Lhotse (8501m), Everest (8848m) and Makalu (8475m) of the Nepal Himalayas and the huge Kanchenjanga massif (8586m) along with other peaks of the Sikkim Himalayas. overnight stay in tents at Sandakphu. Meal: - Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner
Day 07: Fri. 22 Feb’19 Sandakphu – Molly/Phalut (2300 M) Trek 14 Km On this day of Sandakphu Trek, Molly’s Trekker’s Hut – 14 Km. After walking for a little while the trekker will be followed by the Everest group on the left and Kanchenjunga range right ahead. A walk of about 4.5 hrs. from Sandakphu the trekker will come across a stone house with blown of roof on the top of a small ridge. The place is known as Sabarkum and is 14 km from Sandakphu. Molly to Phalut Top 8 Km. Overnight at Molly or Phalut. Overnight stay at Lodge/Homestay. Meal: - Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner

Day 08: Sat. 23 Feb’19 Molly/Phalut – Gorkhey (1950 M) Trek 18 Km Molly to Phalut Top 8 Km Keeping the ridge on the left follow the trail north ward. After about an hour the trail begins to climb through a series of zigzag till one reaches Trekkers’ Hut. From here Phalut summit is about 20 minutes walk. A magnificent view of snowy range is obtained from the summit which is also tri-junction of Sikkim, West Bengal and Nepal. After Lunch trek to Gorkhey. Gorkhey, a beautiful valley in the border of West Bengal and Sikkim. Upon arrival check in Lodge or tent for overnight stay. Meal: - Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner
Day 09: Sun. 24 Feb’19 Gorkhey – Rimbick – Darjeeling Trek 14 Km and Drive Today would be the last day of your trek; you will walk from Gorkhey to Srikhola to Rimbik. En- route you shall pass through quaint hamlets and their farmlands. After reaching Rimbik board in the waiting vehicle and drive to Darjeeling. Upon arrival in Darjeeling check in the hotel overnight stay. Meal: - Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner
Day 10: Mon. 25 Feb’19 Darjeeling - Bagdogra - Delhi Flight & Drive 70 Km Morning after early breakfast leave for Bagdogra airport. Arrive Bagdogra and board flight for Delhi. Upon arrive in Delhi transfer to hotel for overnight stay. Meal: - Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner
Day 11: Tue. 26 Feb’19 Delhi Sightseeing and Departure Post breakfast enjoy full Day city tour of Old Delhi. and New Delhi.
Your private guided tour of Old Delhi will take you to Chandani Chowk Silver Square (Once the center of Delhi.), Jama Majid (India’s largest Mosque) and the narrow alleys of Old Delhi. You will have an opportunity to enjoy a Rickshaw Ride at Old Delhi. We will drive past the Red Fort (Delhi’s most magnificent monument was built by Emperor Shah Jehan) and Raj Ghat (Set in the midst of deep green lawns, Rajghat is the place where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated).
Later in the afternoon visit New Delhi., We will drive past the President House (the official residence of the President of India. Formerly the residence of the Viceroy of India), India Gate ( a majestic high arch,42 meters high, built as a memorial to the Indian Soldiers killed in world war 1) and Parliament Building. Later we visit Humayun Tomb built in the mid-16th century by Haji Begum, senior wife of Humayun, the second Mughal emperor).
Later in the evening transfer to airport to board the flight for onward journey. Meals: Breakfast + Lunch

Cancellation policy: Cancellation Charges: Notice of cancellation must be made in writing in the name of Shikhar Travels (India) Pvt. Ltd. no later than January 31 and acknowledged to be effective. In case of No- Show or cancellation after January 31, there will be cancellation charge of 100% of the invoice.
In certain cases, the cancellation policy (including conditions applicable on the advance deposit made/required for holding the reservation) may differ & would be applicable as per the cancellation policy of that hotel / Service provider. This will be charged over & in addition to the cancellation policy.
Unused Services & Refund No refund will be made for any unused services or other arrangements due to any changes in schedule made by passenger while traveling. However, in certain cases, the refund will be considered as per the policy of the carrier/ hotel/ tour company / or other suppliers used for providing services.
Refund request must be made within 2 weeks of the completion of the trip.
If there is any additional expenses due to bad weather or any other reason beyond the control of the tour operator on account of hotel stay, transportation, and meals etc. extra bill will be raised. Neither Shikhar Travels (I) Pvt. Ltd. nor the participating suppliers/hotels will be responsible for the additional expenses.
Responsibility & Liability All the packages are sold under the business management of Shikhar Travels (I) Pvt. Ltd. Shikhar Travels reserves the right to cancel or alter any package as conditions require. Neither Shikhar Travels (I) Pvt. Ltd. nor the participating suppliers/hotels will be responsible for the additional expenses due to loss, delay or damage caused by accident, illness, bad weather, strikes / riots, road block etc.
Governing Law This condition and each term shall be governed by and constructed in accordance with the laws of India without reference to conflict of laws principles and disputes arising in relation here to shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Delhi.
