Stella Donnelly Shares “Tricks” Watch the Video HERE February 27, 2019 For Immediate Release Stella Donnelly Shares “Tricks” Watch the Video HERE Beware of the Dogs Out Next Friday On Secretly Canadian “It's the kind of easy-going, open-hearted spirit that makes [Stella Donnelly] one of the most affable live performers you'll see. While there's no doubting her sincerity, she's also got a disarming way of making her often dark and brutal songs a little easier to take in.” - NPR Music “Here is the #MeToo movement in action, simultaneously methodical and melodic.” - The New York Times “a jarring storyteller with a beautiful voice.” - Billboard “Donnelly masterfully treads the line between dreamy and acerbic.” - The FADER “A slice of sighing, sparkling indie-pop with an easygoing vibe that belies a vicious bite.” - Stereogum Australian singer/songwriter Stella Donnelly shares a new single, “Tricks” off of her forthcoming debut album Beware of the Dogs, out March 8th via Secretly Canadian. Following previously released songs, “Lunch” and “Old Man,” “Tricks” is a deceptively catchy jab at racist Australian pride and the absurdity of the music industry. The accompanying video was directed by Nick McKk and fellow Australian musician Julia Jacklin and shot in Melbourne. “This song is a playful zoom-in on the ‘Australian Identity’ and a loose dig at the morons that used to yell sh*t at me when I played cover gigs on Sunday afternoons. It probably served me right for singing ‘Wonderwall’ every weekend.” Donnelly’s charisma shines on Beware of the Dogs as she explores her career, her country, her family, and her relationships with a razor-sharp wit and emotional authenticity. OUVIR sugestões GIRL POWER PARTE 1: 5 NOMES INTERNACIONAIS PARA SEGUIR DE PERTO Aproveitando a boleia do Dia Internacional da Mulher, apresentamos 5 artistas fundamentais da música moderna para seguir com atenção redobrada. Grrrl power! I Sit and Think, and Sometimes I Just Sit».

VICKI GORDON We’re proud that Queensland is the inaugural home to this phenomenal program. Pru Montin at Screen SongsHubs LA Nick Cave and Warren Ellis Photo: Courtney McAllister Photo: Daniel Boud Rochelle Pitt at Share the Spirit Photo: Jacinta Keefe 2019 - 2020 YEAR IN REVIEW Kimbra Photo: Nick Demarais 1 Message from the Chief Executive, Dean Ormston Bujari gamarruwa and kia ora I’d like to begin my message by acknowledging the Traditional Custodians of the land on which I am writing from today, the Gadigal people of the Eora nation and pay my respects to Elders past and present. This financial year will be remembered by all of us for natural disasters including catastrophic bushfires and floods across Australia, a volcanic eruption in the Bay of Plenty, New Zealand, and now COVID-19. The pain and suffering experienced by so many of our members and licensees over the past 12 months has been far-reaching and terrible. Musicians and the music industry are always amongst the first to lend a hand to support, lift spirits and raise funds to rebuild community. The COVID-19 context has turned the tables and musicians have needed to put a call out for the support of governments and others. Individual and collective resilience has been tested. We’ve all had to cope with dramatic and unpredictable disruption and change. We’ve had to adapt quickly. Our priority over the past 12 months has been to support both our 108,000+ members and 114,000+ licensees. As the bushfires devastated enormous areas of Australia, and then COVID-19 spread across the globe, we moved quickly to provide direct support and advocate to government the plight of those that live and work in the original gig economy.
