Take advantage of community service opportunities sent by Janique c. Re-Activation of Phi Beta Sigma i. Issue: Membership 5. President Report: a. Meet the Greeks at the beginning of the semester (inside) pros and cons and Meet the Greeks at the end of the semester (outside) pros and cons i. Inside/Beginning of semester: 1. Pros: No rain date, better view, good rush tactic (6 organizations participate in rush), revenue 2. Cons: Less capacity ii. Outside/End of semester: Inter-Fraternity Sorority Council Rutgers University-Newark 11/16/2017 1. Pros: Greater audience, more capacity, larger space, new members can participate and attend 2. Cons: Rain date b. Alternatives to Meet the Greeks - Greek Swap, Stroll for a cause, Yard Show, Yard Takeover/etc. i. Greek Swap: Shows Greek unity on campus c. Shadow Program i. Contact Simon for those interested on being on the e-board next year 6. Vice President Report: a. Order of Omega Committee i. Juan will send out an e-mail about plans for next semester b. Rating Program Committee 7. Secretary Report: 8. Treasurer Report: a. Fines: Alpha Kappa Alpha, Delta Phi Omega, Mu Sigma Upsilon (additional $5 fine if not paid by today) i. Sigma Lambda Upsilon – late to last meeting (November 2nd) 9. Public Relations: a. Letter Wednesdays (after Thanksgiving Break) i. Lambda Sigma Upsilon, Lambda Upsilon Lambda, Delta Phi Omega 10. Community Service Report: a. Food Drive Competition i. Reminder that donations are to be brought to RUPD instead of the Food Pantry ii. Make sure to label donations with IFSC and your respective organization and take a picture of it to receive credit iii. Competition ends on Tuesday, November 21st iv. Will possibly get us free security for next semester 11. Open Floor: a. Alpha Kappa Alpha – Battle of the Sexes – November 16th, 7:08 PM, PRCC Bergen Room 255 b. Chi Upsilon Sigma- eXpresso – November 13th, 8:45 PM, PRCC 224 c. Kappa Psi Epsilon – Contact a sister if you would like to co-sponsor their hat/coat drive d.
