Ever cool, collectible and unique, Stockholm based sneaker store Sneakersnstuff, is launching a limited edition Moomin shoe collection.

The Moomin x Karhu x Sneakersandstuff collection includes two versions of Karhu’s classic sneaker model “Albatross” covered in Moomin prints. It also features tiny Moomintroll silhouettes on the outside of the shoes. - To work with an iconic brand like the Moomins is a great honour, says Erik Fager- lind, founder of Sneakersandstuff. I am incredibly proud of our collaboration.

Moomin at Junibacken 2015

Celebrating Moomin 70 years, Junibacken welcomes all children to experience the Moomin exhibition in February 2015. Junibacken is a fantasy play and children’s story book house in Djurgården, Stockholm. The Moomin exhibition is being crea- ted by the Junibacken experts in close collaboration with Sophia Jansson, Creative Director at Moomin Characters. Here visitors will be able to experience the adven- tures of the Moomin Valley, visit the Moomin house and get to know the beloved characters even better.

The exhibition will run for 18 months. More details will follow closer to the opening date.

Moomins on the Riviera launching October 2014

Moomins on the Riviera, the new feature length animated Moomin movie, is launching in October 2014. The film is based on Tove Jansson’s comic strip with the same name and premieres in Finland on October 10, 2014. The Swedish pre- miere is set to October 31st and France will follow in February 2015. Launching dates for Japan, Israel and the other Nordic countries to be announced shortly.

Moomin Vappu Festival in Seoul

Moomin Vappu Festival was held on Friday, May 2nd till Thursday, May 15th at the head store of Lotte Department Store in Myungdong, Seoul. Moomin is the Finnish national character and the Ambassador of Finland in Seoul, Mr. Matti Heimonen, also came to enjoy the Korean style Spring festival. People could participate in various programs offering a chance to win sweepstakes-round- trip tickets to Finland and Moomin premium products.
