The bite was registered in the locality Santa Rosa La Pampa, Argentina (36°37'29.02"S, 64°17'19.13"W). The insect was not provoked by the victim, and thus, the bite was probably not in self-defense. We therefore concluded that the insect bite the victim because it was searching for sources of hydration. Key words: adventitious bite, nabids, predaceous habit, record, symptomatology. Resumen Se describe el primer caso de una picadura adventicia en un ser humano por Nabis argentinus Meyer-Dür 1870, en la localidad de Santa Rosa La Pampa, Argentina (36°37'29.02"S, 64°17'19.13"W). El insecto no fue provocado por la víctima, por lo que probablemente la picadura no fue en defensa propia. Por lo tanto, concluimos que el insecto picó a la víctima en búsqueda de recursos de hidratación. -

In the case of insects, most published DNA barcoding studies focus on species of the Ephemeroptera, Trichoptera, Hymenoptera and especially Lepidoptera. In this study we test the efficiency of DNA barcoding for true bugs (Hemiptera: Heteroptera), an ecological and economical highly important as well as morphologically diverse insect taxon. As part of our study we analyzed DNA barcodes for 1742 specimens of 457 species, comprising 39 families of the Heteroptera. We found low nucleotide distances with a minimum pairwise K2P distance ,2.2% within 21 species pairs (39 species). For ten of these species pairs (18 species), minimum pairwise distances were zero. In contrast to this, deep intraspecific sequence divergences with maximum pairwise distances .2.2% were detected for 16 traditionally recognized and valid species. With a successful identification rate of 91.5% (418 species) our study emphasizes the use of DNA barcodes for the identification of true bugs and represents an important step in building-up a comprehensive barcode library for true bugs in Germany and Central Europe as well. -

RÉSUMÉ Une liste commentée des 174 taxons d’hétéroptères, décrits ou proposés par Paul Dispons entre 1950 et 1971, est présentée après étude de la collection de l’auteur conservée au Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle, Paris. Au total, 257 spécimens types ont été identifi és. Ceux-ci appartiennent à 116 taxons de rang spécifi que, des Reduviidae pour la plupart, auxquels il faut ajouter sept Coreidae, un Lygaeidae, un Miridae, deux Corixidae et un Belostomatidae. Des lectotypes sont désignés pour 27 espèces, sous-espèces ou variétés. L’étude de ce matériel type confi rme les synonymies déjà établies et conduit à en proposer neuf nouvelles : Rhinocoris hierapolitanus Dispons, 1964 n. syn. et R. ocreatus Dispons, 1964 n. syn. de R. iracundus (Poda, 1761) ; R. iracundus nigripes f. E-mail: [email protected], [email protected], [email protected] WOOD HEMIPTERA (HETEROPTERA) PREDATORS OF CHARYNSKIY SNNP (SOUTH-EAST KAZAKHSTAN) Abstract. The article presents the results oF field studies years 2018-2019 conducted at the Charyn SNNP. As a result oF studies, 30 species oF carnivores from 5 heteroptera families were identified: Nabidae (4 species), Anthocoridae (12 species), Reduviidae (3 species), Miridae (5 species), Pentatomidae (6 species). Zoophages by trophic specialization. By the number oF generations per year, they are divided into 3 groups: monovoltaic (18 species), bivoltine (5 species), polyvoltine (6 species), the number oF generations is unknown in 1 species. Among the predatory true bugs oF the Charyn SNNP, 21 species winter in the adult stage, 3 species in the adult stage and larvae, and 6 species in the egg stage. By environmental features, all types are mesophiles. By confinement to the habitats, the semi-winged oF Charyn SNNP are divided into several groups: dendrobionts (15 species), dendro- tamnobionts (2 species), dendro-tamno-hortobionts (2 species), dendro-hortobionts (9 species), tamno-hortobiont (1 view), eurybiont (1 view). 2 species are listed in the Red Book oF Almaty region: Arma custos (Fabricius, 1794) and Zicrona caerulea (Linnaeus, 1758). -

The Iranian fauna of the Nabidae is summarized in this paper. In total, four genera (Alloeorhynchus Fieber, 1860, Himacerus Wolff, 1811, Nabis Lat- reille, 1802 and Prostemma Laporte, 1832), 22 species and subspecies are listed from Iran. Three of these species are new for the Iranian fauna: Nabis (Nabicula) fl avomarginatus Scholtz, 1847, Nabis (Nabis) rugosus (Linnaeus, 1758) and Prostemma carduelis Dohrn, 1858. Key words. Heteroptera, Nabidae, catalogue, Iran, Palaearctic Region Introduction Damsel bugs (Heteroptera: Nabidae) have a worldwide distribution and include approxi- mately 400 species in about 20 genera (KERZHNER 1981, 1996; KERZHNER & HENRY 2008). All known species are predators of adults and larvae of various stages and groups of insects, e.g., aphids, leafhoppers and lepidopteran eggs and young caterpillars. They may be commonly found on low herbaceous vegetation, shrubs and grasses (LATTIN 1989). They have not been used as biological control agents but are considered benefi cial in natural biological control. The classifi cation of the Nabidae is conjectural. -

The winter survival of three closely related univoltine heteropterans that overwinter as adults, Nabis rugosus, N. erice- torum and N. pseudoferus was investigated. After 150 days of low temperature treatment (3–5°C, 16L : 8D, r.h. 70–80%) more males than females died. The mortality rate ranged from 88.8 to 93.8% in males and from 54.2 to 60.7% in females. However, these sexual differences in mortality did not differ significantly across the three species and populations of different geographic origin. It remains a general question whether this considerable evolutionary stability in the sex-specific investment into reproduction and sur- vival phylogenetically conserved or frequently evolves anew to similar levels in separated populations and species. In Nabis rugosus, the relative loss of body mass during overwintering was up to 37.8%. This reflects dramatic somatic costs of adult overwin- tering and indirectly supports the hypothesis that food supply during overwintering is important for some heteropteran predators.
