Mittlerweile hat sich die Band weltweit einen Namen gemacht als unkonventionelle, stets überraschende Formation, die ihre eigene Nische zwischen den zahlreichen Metal-Spielarten gefunden hat. Im Juni kommen DEVILDRIVER um den charismatischen Front- Shouter Dez Fafara für drei Konzerte nach Deutschland. Besonders aufregend verspricht ihre Co-Headliner-Show mit AUGUST BURNS RED am 25. Juni in Stuttgart zu werden. Der Erfolg von DEVILDRIVER war geradezu vorprogrammiert. Ihr Frontmann Dez Fafara blickte zum Zeitpunkt der Bandgründung im Jahr 2002 bereits auf eine viel versprechende internationale Karriere mit der NuMetal-Formation Coal Chamber. Nach drei Alben und sieben gemeinsamen Jahren löste Fafara die Band auf, als er Bassist Jon Miller, Drummer John Boecklin und Gitarrist Jeff Kendrick kennenlernte. Die beiden Musiker waren dabei, die Songs für ein erstes Album fertigzustellen, für das ihnen lediglich noch ein Frontmann fehlte. Fafara stieß hinzu und man rekrutierte mit dem zweiten Gitarristen Evan Pitts einen weiteren Mitstreiter. Gemeinsam komponierten sie komplett neues Material für das im Oktober 2002 veröffentlichte Debütalbum „DevilDriver“. Zunächst zeigte sich die einschlägige Metal-Presse verhalten. Der innovative Klang von DEVILDRIVER, der auf eine bislang ungehörte Weise den Groove des Metalcore mit der Här te und Schnelligkeit des Melodic Death Metal vereinte, musste erst seinen Weg in die Gehörgänge der Fans finden.

    ORGY 2013 Bio ORGY emerged in the Goth music scene in 1998 with their incredible remake of ‘Blue Monday’. The track sold over 1 million copies and built a worldwide audience for the brand. In 2004, the band went on a hiatus. In 2011, after seven years of demand from fans for new music and a tour, founding member Jay Gordon (vocals) decided it was time to kick things back up and begin recording and touring again in support of ORGY’s fans. Born in San Francisco, CA, Jay Gordon and was heavily influenced by music from a young age. After playing bass for several years and working as a producer and engineer on several albums (including Coal Chamber’s self-titled album and others), Jay was introduced to four other musicians who, with him, would eventually form ORGY. After establishing themselves in the scene, the band was noticed by Korn vocalist Jonathan Davis and signed to Elementree/Reprise records. 1998-2000 Orgy’s primary release, 1998's Candyass, turned out to be a vast success, mainly fueled by the band’s wildly-popular cover of ‘Blue Monday’ and their initial single, ‘Stitches’. Each single saw several remixes, some of which were produced by Jay Gordon himself (a trend fans came to expect with ORGY's following single releases). In 2000, ORGY unleashed their second complete album, Vapor Transmission, with ‘Fiction (Dreams in Digital)’ and ‘Opticon’ chosen as the singles. 2000-2004 After the release of Vapor Transmission, ORGY left Elementree/Reprise under cordial circumstances.     COAL CHAMBER: KEEPIN'. IT Loco With their first album, Ice Cream Truck, the Southern California-based metal group Coal Chamber estab- lished themselves as one of neo-metal's finest new acts. They blended power metal with punk and hip-hop influences to create their own unique, super-heavy sound. Tracks like "Big Truck," "Sway" and "Loco" eventually became late-night rock radio fodder and lee Cream Truck pushed gold status. On their latest effort; Chamber Music, Coal Chamber builds off of that foundation and develops a deeper, more diversified musical tyle, incorporating more speed variation and symphonic elements, but never failing to kick your ass. At age 22, drummer Mike Cox ("Mikey") has virtually grown up in the band, sticking with it through the departure and return of singer Dez Fafara, personal difficulty, lo sand, finally, success. He discussed the band, its history and its future directions prior to their Oct. 27 show at Tipitina's. De pite their success, Coal Chamber have not lost touch with the forces that drive their music.
