SCRIPPS HEALTH AND SCRIPPS CLINIC – Scripps Health provides clinical management services for Scripps Proton Therapy Center and Scripps Clinic oversees the center’s medical services. RADY CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL-SAN DIEGO – Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego is an affiliate provider of pediatric care at Scripps Proton Therapy Center. Its 475-bed pediatric care facility provides the largest source of comprehensive pediatric medical services in San Diego, Southern Riverside and Imperial counties. Rady Children’s is the only hospital in the San Diego area dedicated exclusively to pediatric health care and is the region’s only designated pediatric trauma center. In June 2013, U.S. News & World Report ranked Rady Children’s among the best children’s hospitals in the nation in all 10 pediatric specialties the magazine surveyed. ADVANCED PARTICLE THERAPY – Advanced Particle Therapy (APT) is the developer and owner of the Scripps Proton Therapy Center. APT provides a fully integrated solution for development of proton treatment centers for leading academic medical institutions, as well as premier regional health care systems. APT provides a turnkey solution to the highly complex task of successfully developing, designing, constructing, overseeing and managing a particle therapy treatment center. The company is the world’s leading manufacturer of medical devices and software for treating cancer and other medical conditions with radiotherapy, radiosurgery and brachytherapy. The company supplies informatics software for managing comprehensive cancer clinics, radiotherapy centers and medical oncology practices. Varian is a premier supplier of tubes, digital detectors and image processing workstations for X-ray imaging in medical, scientific and industrial applications and also supplies high-energy X-ray devices for cargo screening and non-destructive testing applications. SIGNET DEVELOPMENT – As a leading development partner, Signet Development was integral to the construction of the Scripps Proton Therapy Center, which was built by developer APT. Throughout the course of this project, Signet provided services including supporting land purchasing agreements, entitlements and regulatory approvals, as well as management of the design, engineering and construction teams. Signet also played a key role for APT in the budget and financial structuring process.
