ASHLEY PHILLIPS Ashley Elizabeth Phillips, 31, of Powhatan Point, OH, died Saturday, December 31, 2016 peace fully at home surrounded by her loving family. Ashley was born December 10, 1985 in Columbus, OH at OSU Medical Center. Ashley attended the Shool of Hope for 13 years and resided with her mater nal grandparents in Powhatan Point. Ashley was preceded in death by an infant brother, Corey Adkins. Surviving are her par ents, Holly and Jerry Adkins; maternal grand parents, Ronald R. and Linda R. Reed Boger all of Powhatan Point; a step brother, Jeremy Adkins and, family of Medina, OH; I numerous aunts, and, cousins. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 1 1 a.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. at Bauknecht- Alt- meyer Funeral Homes & Crematory 186 Main Street Powhatan Point, OH 43942 with Pastor Floyd Atkinson officiating. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Barney Ray and Peggy Farmer. Surviving are his parents, Shirley Newell of Naples and Todd Lee Phillips of Lakeland, Fla.; a son, Zack Clemons Phillips of Wheeling; a daughter, Brittany Clemons Phillips of Wheeling; a sister, Tristan Leah Phillips of Huntsville, Ala.; two brothers, J. R. Phillips of Huntsville and Charles Robert Newell II of Naples; his paternal grandparents, Garland and Freda Phillips of Bellaire. Graveside services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the Chapel at Powhatan Cemetery, with the Rev. Mick Foster officiating. Burial fol lows in the Powhatan Cemetery, Powhatan Point. Beatrice A. She was bom March 4, 1914, a daughter of the late George and Margaret Street Bruce. She was a member of Wesley Evangelical Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her hus band. Emmett Vernon Phillips; a grandson; two brothers, Fred and William Bruce; a sister, Curtis Copeland. Surviving are a son, Wayne of Anchorage, Alaska; two daughters, Mrs. Glenn (Carolyn) Foreman of St. Clairsville and Mrs. John (Jan) - Masters of Shiloh; 12 grandchil dren; 11 great-grandchildren; a sis- ' ter, Irene Gardner of Crooksville; several nieces and nephews. Bess Phillips Bess Strunc Phillips, 90, former ly of Key Bellaire Road, Bellaire and lived for the last 5 years with her daughter at Wadsworth, Ohio, died Thursday» Feb. 15, 2001 at Hospice Care Center of Akron. She was born in Bellaire, March 26, 1910, daughter of the late Albert and Rose Hakr Strunc. A retired sales clerk for the for mer Hoge Davis Drug Store and G.C. Murphy Co., both of Bellaire, she was a member of Hillcrest Bible Church at Bethesda, Weyer Chapter #515 Order of Eastern Star, Centerville. Preceding her in death was her husband, Boyd Phillips. Phillips, 87, Bamesville, Ohio, died Thursday at Bamesville Hospital. She was born March 31, 1917 in Batesville, Ohio, daughter of the late Samuel Henry and Anna L. (Brown) Montgomery. Preceded in death by her lov ing husband, Edward G. Phillips; brothers, Oliver, Jerome, Sylvan, Carlos, and Forest Montgomery; and sisters, Bertha Turner, Wilma Hickenbottom and Emma Frish. Surviving are her son, Monte (Mary K.) Phillips of Bamesville; grandchildren, Lori (Darryl) Rockwell of Bamesville and Kevin (Betsy) Phillips of Woodsfield; great-grandchildren, Brady, Emily and Katey Rockwell; sister-in-law, Adda Montgomery of Bamesville, nieces and nephews. N.E., Mineral City, died Sunday, September 10, 2006 in Aultman Hospital, Canton, Ohio, following a brief illness. Born, Feb. 16, 1923 in Somerton, she was a daughter of the late Ernest “Edo” and Olive (Smith) Detling. She formerly worked as a real estate agent for Harvey Goodman at Bamesville. Betty was a secretary-treasurer of the D.A.R. Fort Laurens Chapter, a member of the Red Hat Society, member and past pres ident of the Barnesville Mother’s Club, member and past president of the Tourist Club of Barnesville, a state officer in the Ohio State Garden Club, a life member of the Barnesville and Flushing Garden Clubs and was a for mer Scout leader. Surviving are her husband, Charles C. Phillips, whom she married July 1, 1941; two sons, Jay (Kay) Phillips of Zanesville and Dave (Kim) Phillips of Barnesville; a daughter, Marsha (Tim) Parkinson of Barnesville; grandchildren, Eric (Diane) Phillips, Tom (Julie) Phillips, Brent (Angie) Phillips, Heather Phillips, Laura Parkinson, Kristin (David) Fahey and Tim Parkinson; great-grandchil dren: Cassie, Erica, Josh, Jesse, Lydia, Tommy Jay and Samantha Phillips and Jake and Madison Mullins; two brothers: Robert (Eileen) Detling of Hartville and Larry (Carol) Detling of Somerton and a sister-in-law, Janet Detling of Somerton. There will be no calling houre^^^^^ Bill Phillips 1948-2010 Bill Phillips, 61, Beallsville, Ohio died Thursday, January 28, 2010 in Bamesville Health Care Center. He was bom October 18, 1948 in Beallsville, Ohio, a son of Irene Barricklow Phillips and the late Homer Phillips. He was an employee of Ohio Valley Coal #6 Mine near Beallsville, a US Army veteran, a member of Sunsbury Lodge 362 F&AM and Scottish Rite, Valley of Cambridge. Bill was also a member of American I Legion Post #768. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by an infant son and his father-in- law, Paul Schaffer. Bill is survived by his wife of 41 years, Judy Schaffer Phillips; his mother, Irene of Beallsville; daughter and son- in-law, Kim and Jamie Ali of Cranberry Twp., Pa.; three grandchildren Emily, Connor, and Owen Ali; brother, Mick (Phyllis) Phillips of Flushing; three sisters, Sue (Jack) Brown of Jerusalem, Marcy Pandy of Beallsville, and Brenda Craig of Armstrong Mills; and mother-in-law, Eva Schaffer of Bamesville. Interment followed in Beallsville Cemetery. Military honors were presented to the family, and Masonic services were conducted at the funeral home Saturday.
