Statistics of HŽ Infrastruktura for 2019 UVOD Statistika HŽ Infrastrukture godišnja je publikacija koja se izrađuje na osnovi Upute o statistici HŽ Infrastrukture (HŽI-501) i sadrži podatke o prugama, kolosijecima, radnicima, ostvarenom prometu vlakova po dionicama, prugama i koridorima, financijskim pokazateljima i željezničkim nesrećama. Također, prikazani su i podaci o ukupnom prijevozu putnika i robe na mreži HŽ Infrastrukture, pregled službenih mjesta po prugama i međunarodna željeznička statistika. Izvor podataka za ovu publikaciju je interna poslovna dokumentacija HŽ Infrastrukture, kao i: - Priopćenja o transportu Državnog zavoda za statistiku Republike Hrvatske, - UIC-ova publikacija Railway Statistics - Synopsis za poglavlje međunarodne statistike. Publikacija se sastoji od tabličnih i grafičkih prikaza podataka, a za njihovo bolje razumijevanje dana su i objašnjenja pojedinih pojmova. Statistics of HŽ Infrastruktura for 2019 INTRODUCTION Statistics of HŽ Infrastruktura is an annual publication, prepared on the basis of Instructions on statistics on HŽ Infrastruktura (HŽI-501), containing information on lines, tracks, employees, train movements per sections, lines and corridors, financial indicators and railway accidents. Data on total passenger and freight transport on HŽ Infrastruktura network, review of official locations per lines and international railway statistics are also provided. The source of data for this publication is HŽ Infrastruktura internal business documentation, as well as: - Transport reports of Croatian Bureau of Statistics, - UIC publications Railway Statistics - Synopsis for the chapter on international statistics. The publication consists of tabular and graphical representations of data, and explanations of specific terms are also provided to enable better understanding. Statistics of HŽ Infrastruktura for 2019 OBJAŠNJENJA Poglavlje Osnovna sredstva prikazuje podatke o prugama, pružnim uređajima i građevinama u vlasništvu HŽ Infrastrukture. Podaci o osnovnim sredstvima prikazuju se svake godine sa stanjem na 31. prosinac. Sve pruge HŽ Infrastrukture imaju normalnu širinu kolosijeka (1435 mm). Statistika radnika prikazuje podatke o broju radnika u HŽ Infrastrukturi sa stanjem na 31. prosinac. Radnici su prikazani prema otišlim i pridošlim, starosti, stažu i spolu. Također, prikazani su i radnici tvrtki kćeri. Promet vlakova prikazuje promet putničkih i teretnih vlakova (svih željezničkih prijevoznika u RH) po mjesecima, vrsti vuče, pružnim razredima, koridorima i pružnim dionicama. Prema NN 03/14 koridorski pravci su: - RH1 (DG - Savski Marof - Zagreb - Dugo Selo - Novska - Vinkovci - Tovarnik - DG), - RH2 (DG - Botovo - Koprivnica - Dugo Selo - Zagreb - Karlovac - Rijeka - Šapjane - DG), - RH3 (DG - Beli Manastir - Osijek - Slavonski Šamac - DG - BiH - DG - Metković - Ploče). Željeznička pruga Zagreb GK - Dugo Selo pripada X. paneuropskom koridoru (RH1), ali se ujedno nalazi i na ogranku V.b paneuropskoga koridora (RH2). Dužine pojedinih dionica i pruga su stvarne tj. tarifske dužine. Vlak kilometri uključuju lokomotivske vlakove. Brutotonski kilometri ne uključuju mase radnih lokomotiva. Propusna i prijevozna moć pruga daje podatke o propusnoj i prijevoznoj moći međunarodnih, regionalnih i lokalnih pruga. Prijevoz putnika i robe obuhvaća podatke o prijevozu putnika i robe željeznicom u Republici Hrvatskoj na mreži HŽ Infrastrukture, te usporedbu željezničkog prijevoza sa drugim vrstama prometa. Izvor ovih podataka je Državni zavod za statistiku RH. Ovi podaci ne uključuju mase prevoženih stranih praznih vagona. Pregled službenih mjesta po prugama prikazuje, za svako službeno mjesto, prugu, status, regionalnu jedinicu i županiju kao i podatke o prometnom osoblju i broju otpremljenih putnika vlakom. Prometno osoblje uključuje šefove kolodvora, tehnologe, dispečere, prometnike, telegrafiste, instruktore, skretničare, manevriste i čuvare putnih prijelaza. Financijska statistika obuhvaća podatke o prihodima, rashodima, bilanci (na 31. prosinac), novčanom tijeku i investicijama u HŽ Infrastrukturu. Osim toga, prikazani su i podaci o iznosu šteta na osnovnim sredstvima HŽ Infrastrukture te prihodi i troškovi koridorskih, međunarodnih, regionalnih i lokalnih pravaca. Financijski rezultat za 2018. prepravljen je zbog korekcija između obračunate isporučene električne enrgije za vuču vlakova i stvarno potrošene željezničkim prijevoznicima. U poglavlju Potrošnja električne energije prikazuje se potrošnja električne energije za potrebe HŽ Infrastrukture i za vuču vlakova svih prijevoznika na mreži. Statistika izvanrednih događaja prikazuje broj izvanrednih događaja prema odgovornosti tj. uzroku, materijalne štete te broj poginulih i ozlijeđenih osoba u željezničkom prometu. Materijalne štete obuhvaćaju štete na infrastrukturi i željezničkim vozilima. Prema metodologiji Eurostata nesreće su podijeljene u slijedeće kategorije: sudari, iskliznuća, nesreće na putnim prijelazima, nesreće nad osobama koje je prouzročio vlak u kretanju, požari u vozilima i ostale nesreće. Također, dani su i neki pokazatelji sigurnosti i usporedba sa cestovnim prometom. Međunarodna statistika sadrži skraćeni pregled podataka prema publikaciji Railway Statistics - Synopsis 2018 / 2019 koju objavljuje UIC. Ovi podaci obuhvaćaju samo upravitelje infrastrukture i željezničke prijevoznike koji su članovi UIC-a. 3 Statistika HŽ Infrastrukture za 2019. Statistics of HŽ Infrastruktura for 2019 EXPLANATORY NOTES The chapter Fixed assets presents data on the lines, rail equipment and buildings owned by HŽ Infrastruktura. Information on fixed assets is shown each year with the status as of December 31. All lines of HŽ Infrastruktura have a standard track gauge (1435 mm). Staff statistics shows information on the number of HŽ Infrastruktura employees on December 31. Employees are shown in terms of those who have arrived and departed, age, years of service and sex. Employees of subsidiary are shown too. Train movements show traffic of passenger and freight trains (of all rail operators in Croatia) per month, type of traction, line class, corridor and line sections. According to Official Gazette No. 03/14 corridor routes are: - RH1 (DG - Savski Marof - Zagreb - Dugo Selo - Novska - Vinkovci - Tovarnik - DG; total 317 km), - RH2 (DG - Botovo - Koprivnica - Dugo Selo - Zagreb - Karlovac - Rijeka - Šapjane - DG; total 338 km), - RH3 (DG - Beli Manastir - Osijek - Slavonski Šamac - DG - B&H - DG - Metković - Ploče; total 127 km). The Zagreb GK - Dugo Selo railway line belongs to Pan-European Corridor X (RH1), but is also on a branch of Pan-European Corridor Vb (RH2). The lengths of individual line sections and lines are tariff lengths. Train-kilometres include locomotive trains. Gross tonne-kilometres do not include weight of working locomotives. Line and carrying capacity provides information on capacity and carrying capacity of international, regional and local lines. The transport of passengers and goods encompasses data on the transport of passengers and goods by rail in the Republic of Croatia on the HŽ Infrastruktura network, and a comparison of rail transport with other modes of transport. The source of these data is Croatian Bureau of Statistics. These data do not include weight of railway wagons as a mean of transport. The review of official locations per railway line shows, for each location, the line, status, regional unit and county as well as data on the number of traffic management staff and passengers upon departure (catching a train). Traffic management staff includes head of the station, technologists, dispatchers, telegraphers, instructors, switchmen and crossing keepers. The financial statistics includes data on income, expenditure, balance sheet (on December 31), cash flow and investments in HŽ Infrastruktura. Furthermore, data on the amount of damage to the fixed assets of HŽ Infrastruktura are shown, as well as revenue and costs of corridor, international, regional, local lines. The 2018 financial result has been revised due to correction of the calculated delivered electric power for train traction and actually consumed by railway operators. Presentation of baroque culture in Croatia in the socialist period Dubravka Botica Introduction In the Croatian art historiography of the Cold-War period, Baroque art stands out as a particular subject of interest. Defined in simplified terms as the art of Counter- Reformation and of Absolute Monarchy, that is to say the art of the Church and the nobility, Baroque art posed a stark contrast to the dominant ideology of communism, with its emphasis on the culture of the peasantry and the workers. One might expect that for art historians this was not likely to offer the best possible conditions for researching local Baroque heritage. However, no comprehensive account of art historiography in Croatia in the twentieth century has yet been written – nor has the subject even attracted much interest among the research community as yet. Over the past decade a growing number of texts have appeared dealing with the beginnings of art history on Croatian territory1 or with a number of individual influential scholars who have blazed the trail in promoting art history as a professional practice in the first half of the twentieth century.2 However, the development of academic discourse in the post-war period on art history has only been touched upon in passing by researchers concentrating on broader topics, such as the analysis of culture and art of particular historical periods.3 Therefore, due to the lack of any comprehensive overview of the development of academic discourse on the subject in Croatia, the interpretation of Baroque art in the Croatian art historiography of the second half of the twentieth century remains fragmentary.

Preliminary communication (accepted May 5, 2018) REGIONAL ECONOMIC GROWTH AND TOURISM: A PANEL DATA APPROACH Masa Trinajstic1 Suzana Baresa Sinisa Bogdan Abstract Tourism is currently one of the largest and most dynamically developing sectors of the world. In many countries, including Croatia, has an extremely important role in the economy. The aim of this paper is to analyse complex links that exist between the tourism industry and processes of economic growth and development on regional level. Croatia has been divided into 20 counties and the capital city of Zagreb. The purpose is to investigate the impact of tourism on the economic growth of Croatian counties. In the research, two variables have been used, GDP as one of the main tools for measuring the economic growth, and overnight stays as a proxy variable for tourism. The obtained results show positive correlation between economic growth and tourist overnight stays. Panel model shows that regional economic growth is influenced by tourism. But research shows also the differences between the counties. Based on conducted analysis, authors suggest that the investment and development should be encourage and in other Croatian counties. Local and regional authorities have to create conditions for increasing competitiveness in tourism, that will in ultimately stimulate economic growth and development. Empirical findings in this study may provide guidance for private, local and government tourism policy makers and authorities in Croatia. The most frequently used tracers are stable isotopes and tritium. Stable isotopes of oxygen (δ18O) and hydrogen (δ2H) are mainly used as indicators of the recharge condition. Tritium (3H) is used to estimate an approximate mean groundwater age. This paper presents the results of an analysis of stable isotope data and tritium activity in Croatian groundwater samples that were collected between 1997 and 2014 at approximately 100 sites. The composition of the stable isotopes of groundwater in Croatia originates from recent precipitation and is described using two regional groundwater lines. One of them is applied to groundwater accumulated in the aquifers in the Pannonian part of Croatia and the other is for groundwater accumulated in the Dinaric karst of Croatia. The isotope content shows that the studied groundwater is mainly modern water. A mix of sub-modern and modern water is mostly accumulated in semi-confined porous aquifers in northern Croatia, deep carbonate aquifers, and (sub)thermal springs. INTRODUCTION The Treaty of Accession of the Republic of Croatia to the European Union (hereinafter: Act of Accession) established a transitional period of seven years until 2020, with the possibility of an extension of three years, during which the Republic of Croatia may maintain the existing restrictions in its national legislation on the acquisition of agricultural land. This concerns acquisitions of agricultural land owned by the Republic of Croatia by legal and natural persons from other Member States of the European Union and the European Economic Area. The transitional period during which the Republic of Croatia may maintain the restrictions that existed at the time of its accession was granted to allow the newly acceding Member State to tackle the imperfections of its agricultural land market and the agricultural sector and make it more competitive in the internal market. Accordingly, during the accession negotiations, certain transitional provisions on the acquisition of agricultural land were granted to the Republic of Croatia, which allowed the Republic of Croatia a temporary derogation from the fundamental freedom of the free movement of capital. Besides economic characteris- tic, these areas are characterized by demographic problems and by the abandonment of traditional economic activities such as agriculture, animal husbandry and forestry. Republic of Croatia is highly tourism-oriented country but more than 80% of this tourist traffic is carried out in coastal parts of the country and on islands along the Adriatic coast. Since the 1970s, rural settlements in these coastal areas are recording a shift in terms of major economic activities of the local popula- tion. In fact, tourism generally becomes the main source of lo- cal population’s income, either directly or indirectly. However, completely different situation is taking place in continental rural areas of Croatia, and those inland areas are the research object of this paper. The growth of tourists’ interest for visiting these very areas has encouraged the residents of inland villages to the new development and new entrepreneurial orientation – tourism. This general trend worldwide indicates a growing demand for services and facilities that are connected to tradition and to typical and authentic rural experiences but at the same time it emphasizes the need for sustainable development and the protection of re- sources. As a consequence, most indicators and analyses are not based on most recent data but represent the data availability at the time when the research was undertaken. Only in a few cases, for some rather basic indicators that could easily be reproduced, more up-to-date information was used. It is therefore important to note that this overview is mainly a collection of available findings with different time stamps and not an up-to-date, comprehensive analysis. Its main goal is to showcase the wide range of ESPON research and, by zooming-in on a specific country, to raise interest for the scientific results at a more national and even regional scale. 1 Land use and urbanisation | Climate change | Sustainable use of natural resources Land use and urbanisation Destination of change in agricultural land-use Urbanisation Urban shrinking The chapter "Land use and urbanisation" focuses on the change in agricultural land use, urbanisation and urban shrinking. Three maps show the evolution of the situation between 2000 and 2018 in Europe with a focus on Croatia. In Croatia from 2000-2018, as in most other regions of Europe, the predominant trend of change in land use is from agricultural to urban. In the Pannonian Region of Croatia, the predominant reason for this change is the phenomenon of suburbanisation, while along the Adriatic coast the development of tourism is the main focus.
