Th e following parameters were taken into account: substrate, activity period, ecomorphs, diet, courtship and population; in addition, sympatric species were determined. It also showed preference for feeding on insects, especially hymenoptera, and was found in cohabitation with four other anole species, although without establishing competition for the substrate. Key words: Anolis – ecological study – endemic reptile – National Ecological Reserve – Villa Clara RESUMEN Se presenta un estudio ecológico de Anolis homolechis (Cope, 1864) (Squamata: Dactyloidae), reptil endémico cubano, en la Reserva Ecológica Nacional “Mogotes de Jumagua”, enclavada en el municipio Sagua la Grande, provincia Villa Clara. Se tomaron en cuenta los siguientes parámetros: sustrato, periodo de actividad, ecomorfos, alimentación, cortejo y población; además, se determinaron las especies simpátricas. Esta especie se observó utilizando troncos de árboles, arbustos, suelo y piedras, y presentó su mayor actividad entre las 11:01 am y las 12 m. Asimismo, mostró preferencia por alimentarse de insectos, especialmente himenópteros, y se encontró en cohabitación con otras cuatro especies de Anolis, aunque sin establecer competencia por el sustrato. Framed thus, it is apparent that behavioral ecology also aims to cut across temporal scales and levels of biological organization, seeking to explain the long-term evolutionary trajectory of populations and species by understanding short-term interactions at the within-population level. In this dissertation, I make the case that paying attention to individuals’ natural history— where and how individual organisms live and whom and what they interact with, in natural conditions—can open avenues into studying the behavioral ecology of previously understudied organisms, and more importantly, recast our understanding of taxa we think we know well.

Euscorpius takes advantage of the rapidly evolving medium of quick online publication, at the same time maintaining high research standards for the burgeoning field of scorpion science (scorpiology).Euscorpius is an expedient and viable medium for the publication of serious papers in scorpiology, including (but not limited to): systematics, evolution, ecology, biogeography, and general biology of scorpions. Review papers, descriptions of new taxa, faunistic surveys, lists of museum collections, and book reviews are welcome. Thanks to your commitment, motivation, and insatiable curiosity we had an incredible 2019! Together, we continue to discover and protect the biodiversity of Lomas de Banao Ecological Reserve. During 2019, we continued to support the conservation of this Reserve’s outstanding biodiversity. With your help, we planted over 1000 trees of native species that will enrich the forest for generations to come. We recorded new species in Banao, including a critically endangered and endemic Anolis lizard who will now call Banao home. We deepened our understanding of the seasonal dynamics of birds in Banao looking into the behavioral adjustments of native birds when, all the sudden, have to cope with the influx of numerous winter migrants. We discovered that Cuban parakeets switched their nesting grounds into the northern side of the Reserve, and built and placed artificial nests to support Cuban trogons, pygmy owls and bare-legged owls in the reproduction season.
