John H Hansson Ulster Siamese & All breed club. Saturday 17 th November 2018.

Very many thanks to June, William & all concerned with the organisation of this event, you all did incredibly well & are to be applauded for all your efforts to make it successful, the gate was brilliant, so I sincerely hope it helped in some way alleviate the heavy cost of the judges involved, as they had all come such a long distance & are no doubt a heavy burden on the club’s resources. Thank you to Lyndon who stewarded once again, & was ably assisted by newbie Fe, thank you both sincerely for you assistance & good company, all genuinely appreciated. Hopefully along with Lyndon, Fe will ultimately join the Judges Training Scheme, we need younger people of their generation before too many of my own are no longer available

I’ve tried to amend silly typos I noticed from the previous report. If there is anything glaring I’ve missed let me know & I’ll amend, the buzz word being glaring,.

Olympian Adult, Male; OLY 60. COPPALA’S IMP GR CH FERGAN CHIVAS REGAL BSH a. 07-09-14. British Blue, handsome lad, showing excellent mature appearance. Strong neck, Body was solid & compact with broad shoulders & deep chest, heavily boned legs round paws, thick tail, of medium length. Head was round & has fullness to his cheeks, strong chin, level bite. Medium size ears set well apart, just a little wider at the base than I would have wished. He has large eyes, well open & round, deep coppery orange colour,. He has shorter length very dense coat, also has good degree of crispness to it. Colour is quite an even mid blue tone, slight hint of tipping, but nothing excessive, His condition was wonderful & he has the gentlest of natures . Later Best British but topped later by being overall Best In Show, congratulations.

Section 2 Imperial Grand Premier, Male; IMP GR PR 43.BARRATT’S GR PR SHARALO KIKOS RAG n. 24-02-14. Seal Colourpointed , very good type, showing width across the cheeks, fairly flat brow showing gentle dip to his nose with slightly retroussé effect to its tip. Chin Has good depth, bite level. His ears are medium size, set well apart hint of forward tilt, well furnished interiors to their medium size. Eyes large & well open, could be a little more oblique in their setting, good depth of blue. Body was beautifully grown & developed, with excellent substance heavy bone to his legs, tail could be a little longer but rather sparsely furnished so nothing to disguise it. His coat was surprisingly full & well groomed considering the amount of coat, showing full ruff, & britches which made the lack of tail furnishing more obvious. He has a shady body but there was still contrast evident to his Seal points. He was a large strong lad beautifully mature, his condition was excellent & he had such a gentle temperament,

Section 4 Imperial Grand Premier Neuter, Female; IMP GR PR Not Awarded 90 1st WHITE’S GR CH AALSPOTZ ELEANOR RIGBY. OCI bs. 20-02-14. Chocolate Silver , large strapping girl, body somewhat overweight & this detracts for the required athletic appearance & hardly epitomises lithe & graceful. Head is slightly longer than wide, good width, curve

Saturday 17 th November 2018. at the cheeks, she has an excellent muzzle being prominent the puffed pads creating the impression of squareness, slight whisker pinch, profile has hint of break at the eye line, chin could be a little deeper, bite was somewhat untidy & not quite in alignment. . Her ears are moderately large, wide at the base, slight rounding to the tips, with a angled setting albeit not quite 45 degrees. Her eyes are large but a little more oval than almond, her left eye being watery & a little crusty to the inner edge, requiring attention. Body was deceptively heavy as mentioned somewhat over her best weight the good substance to her legs & paws, her tail has a slight taper, ideally could be longer. Coat was close lying with lustrous satiny sheen, it was sleek & well prepared. Pattern well defined on her extremities, body was showing various size slightly blurry spots needs more bulls-eye formation on the flanks, , smaller on the shoulders, all on a good chocolate silver ground, Temperament was excellent, pity about the eye issue,

Section 3a Grand Premier, Female; GR PR 80 CAPPOLA’S CH & PR SCOTSTAR CHERRY BAKEWELL. BSH . 14-05- 15. Red, attractive lady very good type, head ir round & has good fullness to her cheeks, well rounded brow, chin has good depth, good muzzle, her chin is strong, her bite just within acceptable limits. The ears re a smaller medium size, rounded tips, set very well apart. Eyes are large & well open, golden orange tone. Cobby compact body shape, good weight, proportionate legs & paws, medium length & thickness to her tail. Her coat was beautifully dense, but a little lo nth softer side, good for length. The colour was rich bright shade of red, & sound, still some pattern but nothing excessive. Condition & temperament both excellent, higher award would be more problematic.

Seal Colourpointed Persian; Considered by & Awarded BOB. 6 MCLUSKEY’S CH ALOMI’S SCHNAPPS 27-08-17. Lovely looking chap no exaggerations, Head is broad & round, his cheeks well developed, skull beautifully rounded, well defined stop, short sub nose with well formed nose leather & nostrils, bbprad deep chin & level bite. The ears are set well apart, their smaller size creating a neat tidy appearance & fit well int his head contours. His eyes are large & well open, the round shape creating a pleasing degree of boldness, clear blue colour. Body was very weighty, cobby shape, low on well boned legs, tufts between the toes to his round paws, bushy little tail, of balanced shorter length. His coat length as very good, it was full & well groomed, showing full ruff & frill, texture soft & fine, The body colour has light beige tone, some light shading but excellent contrast nevertheless to his Seal points, tiny amount of brindling. He was in lovely condition & has such a composed, relaxed temperament. I like this lad a lot.

Norwegian Forest ; 1st & BOB. 37 WILSON’S STRANGRF JORDA MR O’MALLEY. NFO d 09 22. 30-04-18. Red & White, well grown youngster, head forms quite a well balanced triangular effect, his profile is virtually straight, chin requires a little more depth, his bite good. Ears are quite large & set well, the outer edge following up from the line of his cheeks, good internal furnishing, Eyes are quite large & are set very wide apart, the angle is more acute than ideal & his haws were showing & this detracts. Body was showing well grown development & good length overall,

2 John H Hansson Ulster Siamese & All breed cat club. Saturday 17 th November 2018. his boning was strong good size paws, tufts between his toes, tail of well balanced length & has good furnishing. Very good length & density of coat, woolly undercoat still to acquire the coarser guard hairs to give the required resistance & all weather qualities his SOP’s requires, His temperament was excellent, his BOB borderline due to his eyes.

Maine Coon Brown Tabby Series, Kitten; 1st & BOB. 38 TANNER-MASON’S BLACKJAGUAR CHANEL (imp) MCO n 03 22. 11-04-18, Brown classic Tabby & White. Very pleasing girl, balanced type, Her head type is very good, the length a little longer than wide, good cheeks line, her muzzle is square & blunt, profile has a slight concave curve at the eye line, good depth chin, it also has width., her bite good. The ears are large set high & have good tufts at the tips, along with well furnished interiors. Her eyes are large & round set slightly obliquely, hazel green tone. Her body has obviously still a lot of growth & development to achieve, legs & paws proportionate, well furnished tail could be a tad longer. The coat length was very promising, good knickerbockers her ruff still a work in progress, clean white areas, including a small white moustache area, as well as her throat, chest, tummy, all paws, well defined facial tracings, wide leg bracelets, oyster on each side the back & tail lke the vast majority of her breed, is more solid, the ground colour has a good degree of warmth. Her condition was splendid & she posed beautifully in her pen, excellent temperament.

Maine Coon Silver Tabby Series, Kitten; BOB Not Awarded. 39. 1st KACEVIENE’S ITONY LEIA JEDI . MCO ns 22. 28-06-18. Black Silver Classic Tabby, this girl, though still very much a baby, is still very narrow & longer in the head, very different to the previous girl in type, narrow across the cheeks her muzzle ideally requiring more obvious squareness, shallow break in profile, she does haves good depth of chin, ( I didn’t check the bite as she was bit uptight & the outcome was not dependant upon it). Ears were tufted at the tips, set tall, wide base & good inner furnishings. Her round eyes were set at a slightly oblique angle, the colour hazel/amber tone. Body small as yet but in keeping with her age, good legs & paws, good length tail but not much in the way of furnishing at present, so still sparse. Coat is still very fluffy & a little wispy, length a way to go, but perfectly in keeping with her age. Her extremities were well marked but her body at this stage, is still too solid, & there is really no obvious pattern to speak of & this is further compounded as the silver is still not clear (hopefully this is a transitional phase of her development, but that is a maybe, there no guarantee & I have to judge on the day) & on the day she lacked contrast. Has a degree of attitude, which she needs to curb (possibly her nerves so should not be based on one outing) her condition was excellent.

Seal Point Neuter; PC & BOB Not Awarded 42 1st KIERANS’S TULLYPAWS JUNIOR. 29-03-17. I believe I have had this lad before & though I confess didn’t detect it first time round he has thin runner up from his right dew pad, so unable to award. He is now looking more mature & balanced, he has width across the cheeks, well developed muzzle, slightly more shallow break as opposed to slight dip in profile, chin was good as was his bite. Ears are a pleasing medium size & are

3 John H Hansson Ulster Siamese & All breed cat club. Saturday 17 th November 2018. now set well apart His eye colour was very good, near round shape,. Body is now much more finished & grown up, good muscularity, proportionate legs & paws, medium length well balanced tail. Coat has also improved it is now fuller & has greater density, generally well prepared, but he did have rather a large knot on his tummy area, needs sorting. He has th slightest hint of of shading to his warm light beige body, good seal points colour, his feet markings relatively even with the exception of the runner on the right glove . Very relaxed & easy to handle.

Norwegian Forest Cat `Neuter, Female;; 1st & PC 48 WILSON’S VONTEMOR LADY INDIA NFO f 09 22. 11-02-17. Black Tortie & White, very girly head type, she has a balanced almost equilateral triangular had shape, profile could be a little stronger, her chin tapered, bite level. Her ears are large tufted tips, these were set well, good internal furnishing. Her eyes are marginally deeper in the shape set, they are slightly more oriental than true oval, lovely expression. Body still relatively adolescent & has more maturity & development to attain, proportionate legs & paws, good length bushy tail no points but attractive white tip. She has excellent coat length, & very good density to her undercoat, full ruff & knickerbockers, still to acquire harsher longer guard hairs, Lovely nature & her condition was excellent , bright colour, clean white. CNH 47 KERNAGHAN’S NORSPIRIT AURORA MIST. NFO a 09 22. 24-08-17. Blue Classic Tabby & White, pity as this girl ooked very attractive in the pen, but she made it very clear she was not going to co-operate in regards to handling, coat was full. & looked well prepared, clean white areas. Her condition appeared excellent, impossible to evaluate, she really meant business Considered for & Awarded BOB. 49 WILSON’S GR PR NOYNAROCK LADYSKYE. NFO ns 22. 13-09-15. Black Silver Classic Tabby, Head has width possibly a little broader than ideal in relation to its length, her profile very good, adequate chin though not the deepest, levl bite. Her ears are quite large could be a little taller, tufted tips, good inner furnishings. Lovely eyes, large oval shape, gentle obliqueness to the setting (green if anyone is interested, no points so no relevance). Body whilst not overly large was weighty with , good bone & substance, tufts between her toes, bushy well balanced length tail. Coat had by far the best texture, it has woolly undercoat to create density, full knickerbockers & good ruff, good length overall, longer along the sides & lower back & sides, some evidence longer harsher guard hairs.. Condition & temperament excellent, her greater maturity & finish giving her an advantage.

Devon Rex Neuter; Considered for & Awarded BOB. 88 HARTE’S GR PR & INT PR BARGELLO MASERATI OF STANREX. DRX b 23. 01-01-12. Chocolate Mackerel Tabby, short wedge, cheeks high & well defined, good whisker break, some prominence to the actual whisker pads, flat brow, very good stop, short nose, frim chin, bite good . His ears I would like larger & lower in set his being rather high, small tufts to the tips. Eyes are well defined full oval shape, mere hint of slant, very expressive, okay a mite on the heavy side, but not excessively, & he was firm with muscular broad chest, good legs & paws tail heavier at its base, slight taper. He has some barer area around the neck area though generally well covered including his tummy , it had density, & wa soft with no. obvious guard hairs, well

Some broken whiskers & eyebrows, with a couple of longer curly ones. Tail was also rippled & some softer wave evident down the inside of his front legs. His condition was excellent & he has such a soft gentle nature.

Oriental Bi-Colour Adult, Male;; CAHOON & DOWDS’S 102 ROCHICO SWEET JON-BOY. OSH c 03. 06-05-17. Lilac, Head has some catching up to do, shorter wedge, the lines are even, very slight dip in profile, good chin, some requires attention, his bite level. The ears are large & well flared at their base, set well. Eyes are a little fuller in shape, oriental setting, good green colour. The body was firm & well muscled & though obviously still more to come in development was very in keeping with his age, slender limbs, oval paws the tail fine & almost balanced length. Coat was short & close lying, smooth texture, Colour wise he conforms well to what is required being about 40% white to colour with clear white tummy line, inverted white on his mask & narrow white collar line some white up his back & hips, the lilac colour though a slightly cooler was nonetheless even. He small cooler toned small moustache like splashes on either side the muzzle, He is still young so has time on his side fto mature further but at this stage of his development I would not be prepared to award higher. Apart from his acne he was in excellent condition, would benefit with a little more confidence to sell himself.

Seal Point Siamese Adult, Female; CC & BOB Not Awarded. 1 st 104 TAGGART’S GIRONA PEGGIE. 12-07-17. This girl was somewhat uptight. Head has medium wedge, slight pinch, very good profile, chin was good as was her biote which she was eager to prove. Her wears are more medium size than large & require more obvious flared base, tending to prick high. Her eyes too open & round lacking oriental setting, the colour could be more intense. Her body was firm, nipples were very enlarged, (cleared by the DV) may be a persistent caller, slender limbs, oval paws, tail I’d like a little finer. The coat was longer than ideal but close lying & well prepared, She was very shady & it also lacked warmth, there was some degree of contrast but not enough, her points too black in tone. She was well presented & in excellent condition, same could not be said of her temperament which was rather fiery. , Considered for & Awarded BOB. 103 CAHOON & DOWDS’S GR CH SIAWYE ZOOM-ZOOM. 24-11-11. Though not without failings this lad was impressively mature. His head length was good, profile has a slight break at the eye line, chin has good depth, bite very untidy due to missing teeth, most of his incisors are now gone. His ears I would like wider at the base, being pricked a little taller than ideal, on occasion, with slightly serrated edge (possibly due to well healed injury). He widens his eyes a little & ideally good depth of blue to the colour. Powerful extremely muscular body, but very tense & taut , as such difficult & he would not relax fully, so to extend his body, proportionate legs & paws, his tail thicker at its base, & could be finer. His coat was short & tight fitting, laying close & well prepared. Body was shoeing some degree of shading but nothing excessive, still good contrast to his points but were leaning to black & would have benefitted with more warmth. Pity he was so tense as he does not show to advantage as a result. His condition was excellent.

5 John H Hansson Ulster Siamese & All breed cat club. Saturday 17 th November 2018. Seal Point Siamese Kitten; BOB Not Awarded. 108 1st PATIENCE’S GIRONA TWINKLE FOUR 05-06-18. Sweetness & light in the pen, devil incarnate out. . Head has a medium wedge, minimal pinch very good profile, her chin was okay, bite unchecked ( iad not intention of putting my fingers where they might not return, Ears are a little high in set & require more flare to their base, larger medium size. Her eyes are more round in shape than oriental, the colour lacking depth & intensity, gentle expression (she lied). Body is firm medium length, good legs & paws. Her tail could be a little finer. The coat was medium length, ideally could be a little sleeker. Light shading to the beige tone showing excellent contrast, the points colour cold & more leaning to black. Consiion excellent, she was decidedly a very unghppay bunny.

AV Non-Breeders SLH Adult; 1st 31 SWIACKA‘S CALL ME PUNTA VALENTINO, CZA (imp) MCO a. 21-01-18. Blue Maine Coon, this lad is extremely handsome for not yet 10 months, really beautifully developed with strong very masculine, head, length longer than wide, high well defined cheeks, his muzzle has good square prominence, his profile has the required slight concave curve as his eye line, strong deep chin, bite borderline. Ears are tall in set, wide at the base, well furnished interiors, well tufted tips. His eyes are round & slightly oblique, green colour. Strong neck, long strong well muscled rectangular body shape, deep chest, heavily boned legs, large paws, his tail needs a little more length to fully balance, Coat length was very good but he required a little more prep to replace the lankness of his top coat, quite a good degree of density, his ruff still in the process of developing good britches, shorter over his shoulders, shaggy on the tummy. His colour is an even blue but sadly with a locket which would preclude a certificate, f in a breed Class. His condition was excellent, very composed lad. 2nd 27 MCCLELLAND’S NYNAROCK REISSA. NFO f 09 22. 15-03-16. Black Tortie & White , very feminine girl balanced almost equilateral triangular head shape, slight dip in profile, chin tapers a little, bite good. Her ears could be a little wider at their base & a mite higher in set well furnished interiors. I do like her eyes & she has such a lovely expression, large oval shape & the setting was slightly oblique. She is not an overly large girl but adequately firm, good legs & paws, bushy tail I’d prefer a little longer. Her cot was reasonably dense with some longer harsher guard hairs apparent, good amount of ruff & knickerbockers. Her white was clean & contrasted well. Though she still has greater maturity to fulfil her condition & temperament were both excellent. 3rd GUGGENHEIM & LENNOX ‘S GR CH & INT CH AMERICANTAIL SARA.

Large mature looking girl, beautifully developed body, strong head, she is a handsome girl high cheeks, her muzzle has square appearance, head length a little longer than wide, profile has more of dip than slight concave curve at the bridge of her nose, chin was firm, bite okay. Her ear set is excellent, large with tufted tips & good internal furnishing, wide at their base. Eyes are round & set in a gentle oblique setting ( I appear to have missed

Body was beautifully grown she has lovely strong bone, body has long rectangular shape, with strong legs & paws, good length tail could be a little fuller in its furnishing. Coat ids typically uneven in length, shorter over the shoulders & lengthening along the back & lower sides, some ruff developing good britches, good undercoat. Her pattern was a little muted which was not helped by her combination of Tortie & Classic combined with Silver though a relatively obvious silver due to her colour, the silver ground colour was not by any means the clearest & the contrast required much more obvious definition. Her Tabby tracings on her mask somewhat indistinct fair leg barring, no obvious tail rings, She was a very composed girl, in excellent condition. 2nd 22. GUGGENHEIM & LENNOX’S GR CH & INT CH AMERICANTAIL SARA. RAG a. 08-05-15. Blue Colourpointed Ragdoll, essentially feminine, not the largest of girls, but well proportioned, Head now beginning to attain a degree of maturity, adequate width across her cheeks, though this could be wider that said she is quite short so if wider would look unbalanced, hint of rounding to her brow, & gentle downward curve in profile, fair chin & level bite. Her ears are on the smaller side of medium, but very well set, hint of forward tilt, good internal furnishings, Her eyes are much better when she is fully relaxed & the slight obliqueness is more apparent, well open shape quite a good clear blue, just a little lacking in intensity. Not large but she is weighty, her legs & paws very proportionate, tail ideally I’d prefer a little longer, though reasonably full bushy appearance. Her coat was a good length density could be a little better, soft texture, some knickerbockers & fair amount of ruff. Her body colour has a pleasing cool glacial effect & contrasts well against her blue points colour. Her condition was excellent & her temperament was very composed, she has such a girly face & soft expression. 3rd 17 MAXWELL’S GR CH & INT GR CH TULLYPAWS ROXY SBI n.

Her ears are medium size, widely set slight forward tilt. Her eyes are large & well open, very wide eyes due in the main to her very dilated pupils, which makes the colour difficult to ascertain, but appeared very good, setting is gently oblique. Body as firm & whilst not overly large well proportioned, with good legs & paws. Bushy tail of almost balanced length. The coat was soft & fine, good length with good amount of ruff, full knickerbockers, . Body colour is a clear cool toned, glacial off white, her points are a relatively soft blue, the body colour mad evaluation of her white a little problematical in some areas, particularly her white chin, chest & tummy, but if you can’t say what is, you can’t say what’s not!. White mittens, & the white is above the hocks on the back legs. Her condition was excellent & her temperament was relaxed though she was a little shy.

His ears are large, tufted tips, wide base with good internal furnishings, set minimally wider than I’d have preferred. His eyes round & slightly oblique, eau-de-nil shade of green, irate expression. Muscular neck, body was very impressive in its development, showing superb degree of maturity for his relatively young age, wonderful heavy bone, to his strong legs & large paws, tail was well furnished, could be a little longer. His coat length was irregular, typically shorter over the shoulders & lengthening along his lower back & sides, full britches & some ruff, ideally required a little more show preparation to give a glossier top coat. His colour was quite rusty not altogether unusual for a black after a warm summer. Condition was excellent, temperament somewhat unreliable in fact he was real ( 6 letter word). He was definitely not in the best of moods. 2nd 45 WOODS’S TEDDYRAGS KIMICHI RAG n 04. 17-02-18. Her ears were smaller size, still to widen off more. The eyes good size, the colour still to deepen off more fully golden tone. Body was quite cony & short, low on the proportionately boned legs & paws, balanced tail. Her coat was short with quite good density, but at present very soft. Falls in the no-mans land between Harlequin & Van, too much white for one, too much colour for the other. Predominantly white, with van patterned head markings, slightly larger flash to the left side, clean white ears, fully coloured tail, small patch of colour on each legs, small spots of colour on her right side, her nose leather was slso patched. Though it stated blue she was actually lilac, though the lilac could have a little more warmth as it was a little cool toned, though the contrast was well defined.

Black Smoke, starting to get a bit long in the body, she is not a good age for a British female kitten, due to vagaries of development. Head to acquire more obvious rounding & fullness at her cheeks, round brow, chin & bite good. Ears are reasonably small but still to widen off a little more but not out of keeping with her age. Eyes open & round, good larger size, intense deep orange colour, Body has to fill out & bulk up more at present though well grown she is long & rather high in the leg., this is an observation not a criticism as it is purely a developmental issue that some go thorough, Her coat was short but at present still very soft & could br denser but her Silver factor was responsible for this. Her top coat, was a combination of black with mainly paler shades of red (again Silver) the undercoat was showing a Silver undercoat which though still to fully clear was nonetheless impressively obvious silver, free of any surface pattern. Her condition & temperament both excellent,

He has large well open eyes, round shape, golden orange colour , Body has chunky body, well boned legs, round paws, balanced medium tail. His coat was a reasonably shorter length & possessed good density but was softer than I’d wish & could be crisper. The colour for any Tortie be he male or female, was beautiful, a good black with an incredible amount of mainly brighter shades of red, he has mingled red on his left front paw, the other 3 patched with red, the balance between the colours was most impressive & very striking. He was in super condition & had such a placid nature. I am not in anyway someone to reward just for being a Male Tortie alone, as I genuinely believe the exhibit must comply with the SOP’s. The SOP’s for a Tortie can be very specific, so be it male or female it should comply & should not be rewarded because of the novelty element of them being male. This lad complied well & his placing was well justified.
