LIKE MICHAEL B JORDAN... From the visionary of the REVOLUTION – Ross In addition to the projects that we (The Revolution) are working on and the collaboration with other creators, I am looking for a singular actor for an isolated set of projects. Obviously the title of this endeavor will not be 'Like Michael B Jordan', but the vision is certainly in the universe that Michael B Jordan followed. Let me explain: Young director Ryan Coogler created FRUITVALE STATION and cast his muse Michael B Jordan to play the lead. Visionary (Coogler) and interpreter (Jordan) created critical and commercial buzz with this first endeavor. Then they went bigger with their second project which was a spinoff of the iconic Rocky series entitled Creed. The buzz for their second endeavor was bigger and so was their profile. Next they took on the biggest African American film of all time in the billion dollar earning Black Panther. Even before there was a 'Michael B and Ryan Coogler', I dreamed of this type of pairing. I was originally inspired by Scorcese and Dicaprio and Tim Burton and Depp. I studied those pairings meticulously. So when Ryan and Michael came along, I knew exactly what they were doing. The difficulty for me is finding the right person with the right work ethic who clicks with me. I have auditioned over 20,000 actors in my career for various projects and believe it only 4 have caught my eye organically in a Dicaprio/Scorcese - Coogler/Jordan kind of way. But I've also never made a huge effort to find one either. That is what I am doing now. As I enter this next phase of my career, I want to find an actor who I can write for and create material that will stun a nation. Stun the world even! Another Hero for me is Berry Gordy who created a lexicon of megastars the world over. One of his muses told him 'If he can think it, she could do it'. That muse was legend Diana Ross. Together the two conquered music, film and TV and turned Motown into something ICONIC. I want to be like that... People don't understand the power of a dynamic duo. That's because most people come to Hollywood and go the tried and true route of submission and auditions. But we are living in a creators landscape unlike ever before. This is SHOWbusiness and there are a lot of elements at play when things turn into success. The other day, I was watching an interview where Eddie Murphy indicated that Ryan Coogler had contacted him about making Michael B Jordan his son in a Coming to America sequel. This floored me. It took my breath away. Even though I knew in my heart the depth of a creator muse situation, the evidence bowled me over. WE saw the three films they did together, but there was Ryan Coogler looking for iconic work to place his muse in. Not just regular work, but important legendary pieces. It confirmed without a shadow of a doubt why an endeavor like this means so much to me. If you are interested in possibly being reviewed for this endeavor, email [email protected] and in the heading put “Like Michael B Review”. Feel free to leave a comment. Here are a couple of articles that discuss the dynamic duo connection https://kulturehub.com/ryan-coogler-michael-b-jordan-video/ https://screenrant.com/best-actor-director-pairings-trivia/ https://www.hollywoodinsider.com/director-actor-partnerships-cinema/ Also look around the site, we are auditioning for a couple of projects. You can check out the sides and get a little more insight on the creators writing style. The short films created in this Dynamic Duo combination will be set up for limited series pitches. The first of which is tentative and it is titled “Father Vs. Son”, a slick incredible conflict that is sure to be the basis of good and unique story telling. The whole idea behind this will be a unique approach....
