The grant is for general support and will help the project develop and prepare for the poten�al deployment of gene drive technologies to help eliminate malaria in Sub-Saharan Africa. The grant is aimed at suppor�ng training and outreach programmes, research into the poten�al ecological effects of releasing gene drives, opera�onal development, regulatory support and an unrestricted funding reserve. The planned ac�vi�es for Target Malaria under this grant are the following: · Training of graduate students and postdoctoral researchers in Burkina Faso, Mali, and Uganda to strengthen the number of people with relevant exper�se in gene drive technologies.
