The Scout Organisation provide fun and challenging activities, unique experiences, everyday adventure and the chance to help others so that they make a positive impact in communities.

They provide different age groups starting with:

Beavers 6 years to 7/8years Cubs 8 years to 10 years Scouts 10 1/2 years to 14 years Explorer Scouts 14 to 18 years

Royal Air Force Air Cadets

Their aim is to promote and encourage a practical interest in aviation and the Royal Air Force among young people. Provide training which will be useful in the Services and civilian life. Encourage the spirit of adventure and develop qualities of leadership and good citizenship.

Situated near Christchurch Quay on the River Stour adjoining , the Club has active dinghy and cruiser fleets, offering racing and cruising events, as well as an active social programme. The Club welcomes applications from anyone over 12 years of age who wishes to participate in active sailing, either boat owners or those wanting to crew.

The Karate club runs two sessions each Wednesday evening. The junior section regularly attracts 30+ students and begins at 6:30pm. The adult session with 20+ students follows at 7:30pm. Sensei Debby (4th Dan) and Sensei Paul (4th Dan) will be pleased to welcome beginners and students of all grades, ages and abilities to their Goju Ryu martial arts club.

United Reform Church in Christchurch

Soul Juice is a youth group for 11 - 18 year olds held on a Friday evening at High Cross Church from 7pm - 9pm. They have a varied programme of activities throughout the year including skittles, ten pin bowling, flower arranging & cake making.

The Lighthouse

The Lighthouse is open on a Wednesday evening from 7pm - 10pm for 13 - 19 year olds for a drop in session where they have a varied programme running. Thursday they run a music project for young people, open from 7pm - 10pm.

(They will be opening on a Monday evening to provide more targeted work running projects such as 'Cooking on a budget, CV compiling, Job Hunting' etc.)
