Trial trenches were excavated at the site. No features were encountered but medieval and post- medieval finds were recovered. River bank deposits dating from the medieval period to the 17th century were identified. The land was reclaimed in the 18th century and dumping deposits were identified for this period. Cellars and building structures were identified dating to the 19th century.
