"I want to get to know everyone (in the DCSA)," Frapc said. "I want to get the group together and get to work." Frape plans to work closely with Christo for the next few weeks and learn the ropes of the presidency. Students must have thought Dan McWhirter was tlie "McMan for the job" because he was voted in as this year's vice-president of Student Affairs. "I'm very relieved," McWhirter said. "This is a lot of weight off my shoulders." McWhirter believes the DCSA's open-door policy will be one of the best aspects he will offer students.     AzaroakAzaroak 2,2, asteazkenaasteazkena Epica + The Old Dead Tree Con sólo un mini-lp («The Blossom») y un cd («The nameless disease»), The old dead tree han logrado colocarse entre los nombres de la escena, primero en Francia y luego en el resto de Europa. Nacidos en 1997, en 2002 fichan por Season of Mist, sello dedicado a sonidos dark, góticos y derivados dentro del metal. Su particular mezcla de sonidos extremos con dark y pop les ha llevado a figurar en carteles junto a algunos de los mejores (Paradise Lost, Opeth, Katatonia), como es el caso que nos ocupa: Epica. Éstos, por su parte, se han erigido en uno de los flamantes nombres actuales en base a composiciones donde la limpieza y la melodía acaparan los surcos. Con una de las voces femeninas más puras al frente y las composiciones de su guitarrista Mark Jensen, los holandeses han logrado aunar lo épico y lo gótico con sabiduría en un par de álbums («The Phantom Agony» y «Consign to Oblivion») que les han establecido como punta de lanza del género. Ahora acaban de publicar en formato instru- mental «The Score – An Epic Journey», que incluye parte de la banda sonora de la road-movie «Joyride», y otras piezas que no pudieron entrar pero que se fraguaron bajo ese concepto. Otro trabajo que les abre nuevos caminos: arreglos orquestales, violín, guitarra acústica... y EPICA que no dudamos se verán reflejados tanto en sus nuevos discos como en el directo que nos ofrecerán.
