Qing hand. A red lacquered ribbon adorns his black dynasty. Provenance: the estate of Mrs. Adna lacquered hair. 4 1/4"H x 3 1/2"W. Provenance: Collected by the consignor's grandfather, John Baxter Smith - U.S. Navy Paymaster, who was born in 1881, attended the Norfolk Academy and was made a paymaster 10 Chinese Stamp Ink Box with the rank of ensign in 1902. He stayed in 17th century or Early Qing dynasty Chinese gilt the service through 1919, when he resigned as a bronze circular stamp ink box, the cover with Lt. Commander. Smith served on the following raised design depicting tiger and bamboo with ships: Vermont, Princeton, Elacano, Villalobos, birds, the sides with reserves decorated with Wilmington, Monadnock, Ohio, Rhode Island, bird and floral designs. 2 5/8"dia. He sailed with the the estate of Mrs. Adna Godfrey Wilde, Jr. Great White Fleet, although it is not certain on (Sara Joan Wilde), Colorado Springs, CO. which ship he served during the Great White Originally purchased from P.C.
