ActiveTO: Bayview Avenue | Phase 2 In April 2021, Toronto City Council approved the installation of an ActiveTO temporary multi-use trail on Bayview Avenue from River Street to Mill Street as part of the City’s Pandemic Mobility Recovery Strategy and as a detour route for the Lower Don Trail. ActiveTO began in 2020 as a quick-start COVID-19 response program to help connect the City’s cycling network and support residents’ physical and mental health. In May this new multi-use trail will be installed. It will connect to the temporary multi-use trail on Bayview Avenue north of River Street.
