Highlights of the month of Jan, 2019. 1.1 During this month tunneling of 2776 m was done, which is the highest ever monthly progress . Important achievements during the month 2.1 Earth Work: 2.1.1 Earth work and protection work is in progress in Sangaldan station yard, out of 23,60,000 Cum of total quantity 22,67,183 Cum has been done so far. 2.1.2 Earthwork for excavation of Bridges foundation is in progress for Katra Banihal section, out of 16,38,639 cum quantity (i.e. except Chenab bridge) 13,81,370 cum has been completed. 2.1.3 Earthwork for excavation of Chenab Bridge foundations & slope protection is in progress, out of 10,08,545 cum quantity 9,75,697 has been completed (i.e. 97% completed). 2.2 Tunneling i. Retendering is under process. 2.2.3 Tender for design of Broad Gauge BLT (Ballast less track) including supply, installation, testing and commissioning between Km. 91.200 to Km. 101.632 on Katra-Dharam Section of USBRL Project has been discharged on 10.01.2019. Retendering is under process. 2.3 Bridges Progress of bridges between Katra- Banihal section has been shown in Table 3.
