LEADERSHIP & EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES 2014-2015 Mayo Clinic PM&R Residency Selection Committee – Elected as resident representative on PM&R residency selection committee. Responsibilities included interviewing and touring applicants. 2014-2015 Evidence-Based Practice Quality Improvement Project – Formulated a centralized folder on the Mayo Clinic PM&R resident website containing clinical practice guidelines for various PM&R disciplines in order to increase practice of evidence-based medicine among residents. 2014 Dominican Republic Medical Mission – Awarded and fulfilled one- month paid scholarship through the Mayo International Health Program to provide medical care to Major League Baseball (MLB) academies and work at CURE Dominicana Pediatric Orthopedics Hospital in Santo Domingo, DR. 2013-2014 Mayo Clinic Wellness Committee – Organized yearly “Mayo Clinic Wellness Challenge” and “Climb the Clinic” charity events to promote physical and mental wellness among staff. 2010 Rural Community Health Fairs – Participated in several two to three day health fairs to provide free medical care to underserved communities in Northeast TN, including Morristown, Newport, and Sneedville, TN. 2008 Ecuador Medical Mission – Participated in a three week mission to provide medical care to underserved communities in Riobamba, Ecuador. 2007-2011 Organization of Student Representatives at Quillen College of Medicine – Elected class representative to serve on the QCOM student government. 2006-2007 Vice President of American Medical Students Association, East Tennessee State University Pre-medical Chapter 2005-2007 Medical Center Hospice Volunteer – Served four to eight hours weekly in-home shifts providing care for hospice patients.
