A workshop has been set for 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 22, 2004 at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe Second Floor Meeting Room, Stateline, Nevada. Art Goes West By Mrs. Lora Feely The Visual Arts team ventured to L.A. with forty art students the first week of November to visit the LACMA, Broad, and MOCA museums. At the LACMA (Los Angeles County Museum of Art) the group had a docent lead tour of Thomas Joshua Cooper: The World’s Edge photography exhibit. Students engaged in a responsive dialogue with their small groups and moved through the exhibit sketching, conversing, and debating about the large scale photographs. After the tour, students discovered other artwork including Richard Serra, Bettye Saar, and Julie Mehretu. Sherwood Enterprise competed in the 1980 Legion B State Tournament. Auto Parts competed in the 1980 Community Sports-American Legion Baseball Legion A State Tournament. Carrol Johnston became the new director of the local American Legion baseball S.90.10 1980-1982 0 program in 1981.
