The incident occurred Monday afternoon, May 11, at the Fifth-Third Bank. Mrs. Bailey said she knew only that her helpers were “two Daves and a Dan.” Dave Brouillette is the fire fighter who suited up and went down into the mucky storm drain. Batallion Chief Dave McInally was at the top watching out for his safety. And, Fire Chief Dan Besson had the camera. Chief Besson said Brouillette also climbed a ladder last month and rescued a cat from a tree. Mrs. Bailey said her car dealership said it would cost $80 to get a new key and she had her house keys on the ring as well.
