DETROIT (January 10, 2021) – DuMouchelles Thursday and Friday, January 28 and 29 auctions feature the continuation of the collection of Michigan Senator Jack Faxon, an avid art collector and a champion for that led to him create the Michigan Council for the Arts. Metcalf, a distinguished architect who joined the faculty of the University of Michigan College of and Urban Planning in 1955, served as Chairman from 1968-1974, Dean from 1974 to 1986, and retired as professor emeritus in 1991. Mr. Metcalf’s collection will be sold to benefit the University of Michigan of Art.
