Message from Creative Living As we initiate planning for the Florida State Fair six months in advance of the Fair's opening, the health, safety, and well-being of our visitors, our community, and our staff is of utmost importance to us during this time of heightened awareness over the COVID-19 virus. At this time we are proceeding in planning for the 2021 Florida State Fair with the knowledge that we may still be needing to take extra precautions to minimize our visitors' and our staff's potential exposures to the virus by following the recommendations of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Florida Department of Health. The primary precept of the plans that the Creative Living team is working on is to limit the risk so that our exhibitors & guests will feel safe to take part in the Competitive Exhibits portion of the Fair. Some of those plans include: Exhibit display layout to allow for social distancing Extended hours and reserving a block of time to drop off & pick up exhibit pieces. Social distancing for our Creative Living judges Baking competition to occur prior to fair to allow social distancing for exhibitors and judges. During this time we will all need to remain flexible knowing that we are all doing what is safest for our community. I will do my best to keep you informed as we get closer to the Fair opening on April 22, 2021.
