East Central Mineral Area Ozarks Technical Three Rivers Crowder Crowder College Crowder • Over 2,900 students enrolled at Crowder College in the fall of 2006. Crowder enrollment has increased by 65% since 2000, making them one of the fastest growing state-assisted colleges in Missouri. • With all of this growth, Crowder has maintained an average class size of 17students. An excellent faculty/student ratio helps make instructors more accessible, and Crowder has a tradition of providing students with the type of friendly atmosphere described as the “Crowder Family.” • Crowder students enjoy the personal attention that small class sizes and caring instructors provide. At Crowder College your instructors will know you by name. Crowder College Housing Up to 180 students can live in 14 individual houses with 6 suites in each. Each of the houses have a community area with a sink, microwave, table and four chairs, couch, and lounge chair. Crowder also provides a color television with cable andld a loca l use tlhtelephone ithin the commons area. Each carpeted suite has two bunkable beds, two closets with individual locks, five drawers for storage, and two desks with a chair. It is possible to hook up both phone and cable service in the individual suites if students wish to pay for these services. In addition there are two com ports for access to the internet provided by Crowder College. Stu den ts res iding on campus get a f ree semest er membership at the Freeman Family YMCA located on the Crowder College campus. East Central College East Central • East Central serves about 3,000 students each semester. Most students are recent high school graduates. Approximately 60 percent of the students are female, 40 percent male. ECC provides a well-rounded learning experience . • 93% of vocational and technical graduates are either working or continuing their education • 89% are working • 72% are working in a training-related field. • In addition, the College has an enriching array of extracurricular sppggggorts and activities ranging from intercollegiate offerings in soccer, softball and volleyball to journalism and the performing arts. Jefferson College Jefferson Co. • With more than 4500 students, Jefferson College is the right place for transfer students, career students, and business and industry training, Jefferson is the right place. • At Jefferson College, class sizes are small, tuition is affordable, facilities are beautiful, student support services are exceptional , and faculty and staff are committed to success. • To further improve the college experience for students, Jefferson has expanded counseling , advising, and job placement services, developed new academic programs, and added two new Division I sports - resulting in Jefferson' ssfirst first-ever national championship title. Mineral Area College Mineral Area • Mineral Area College is a two yypear public community college of 3200 students located in the beautiful Ozark Mountains of eastern Missouri, in a rapidly growing regggyion 40 miles south of St. Louis on US Highway 67. • Mineral Area College is often the first choice among college bound high school seniors and older students, and often the place to which community members turn when re-evaluating career options. • At Mineral Area College you will receive a strong education while enjoying the full college experience. • Mineral Area College offers students the opportunity to succeed in life and in your college career. Mineral Area College Housing • College Park Residences provide independent living for students of Mineral Area College and Central Methodist University. Students reside in a convenient, learning environment that provides the benefit of living close to classes, library, local resources, shopping and security. The College Park community includes a swimming pool, club house with big screen TV, laundry facility, computer lab, sand volleyball court, barbeque pavilion, and private mailboxes. • The lease ppgrogram includes: water , sewer , trash , electric, and internet access. The individual lease allows each resident to be responsible for their portion of the lease agreement and not risk loss of electricity or other service because someone does not pay their pppyportion. You are never responsible for your roommate's portion. • The Residences are fully furnished. Moberly Area Community College HiHousing On-Campus housing is available in the McCormick Commons and Residential Center. Students are accepted on a first-come basis. Inquiries concerning on- campus housing are received and processed by the Housing Coordinator. A Moberly Area Community College Application and a Contract for Residence Hall are sent to all applicants for the center. Before the residence hall contract is processed, a $150 deposit must be received from the applicant. Off-Campus housing information is also available in the Office of Student Services. North Central Missouri College North Central • North Central Missouri College is known for its academic excellence an d s trong sense o f commun ity. Sma ll c lass sizes and a variety of class schedules afford advantages that give students the ability to create their own learning experiences. • At North Central Missouri College, partnership programs with business and industry provide expanded learning opportunities that lead to career entry and advancement. Multiple outreach programs bring the learning laboratory to yy,ou, the student. • Training programs which reach into the workplace assist students in transition from the classroom to a career. Classes are offered at Maryville, Chillicothe, Bethany, and Trenton. North Central Missouri College HiHousing Ellsworth Hall, a residential facility for men, opened its doors in 1994. This modern complex offers students many on-campus advantages. Each room has its own heating and air conditioning unit plus the convenience of a refrigerator/freezer, microwave and sink. NCMC’s facility also includes handicapped accessible rooms for students with physical impairments, a laun dr y ar ea, cabl e TV in th e l obby, m ail box es an d easy access t o parkin g. Selby Hall, a residential facility for women, was completed in 1997. The beautiful facility mirrors Ellsworth Hall with rooms and living areas similar to the men’s hall. Selby Hall has a spacious lobby/TV room, lounge and computer room for student use. A full-service cafeteria and dining hall is located on the lower level and provides a comprehensive food service for all resident students as well as commuters, staff and the public. Ozarks Technical Community CllCollege Ozark Technical • Ozarks Technical Communityyg() College (OTC) is a public two-year college with more than 10,000 students. In addition to its college credit comppgonent of technical and transfer degree programs, OTC provides area citizens with a variety of educational options: • Custom designed training for business and industry at the worksite; • English as a Second Language classes; and • Adult Education and Literacy is available to adults working toward the General Education Diploma (GED) in a variety of locations throughout the Ozarks.
