Defending champion Saint Francis (IN), Morningside lead College Football America Yearbook’s 2018 NAIA Starting Lineup FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: Kendall Webb; 615-631-7481; [email protected] Or Matthew Postins; 940-594-1551; [email protected] or [email protected] Two-time defending national champion Saint Francis (IN) and Morningside, which had the top offense in the country in 2017, dominate the College Football America 2018 Yearbook NAIA Starting Lineup, CFA’s version of an All-America team. Saint Francis (IN) has two selections, running back Justin Green and linebacker Piercen Harnish. Both were a part of CFA’s preseason Starting Lineup in 2017. Green rushed for 2,031 yards and 29 touchdowns in 2017 and is already the Cougars’ leading career rusher. Harnish had 125 tackles, with 17.5 for loss and 3.5 sacks. Morningside, which reached the NAIA semifinals and lost to Saint Francis (IN), 43-36, has three players in the Starting Lineup — quarterback Trent Solsma, wide receiver Connor Niles and punter Spencer Wyant. Solsma threw for 4,406 yards and 55 touchdowns in 2017 as the Mustangs led the nation in total offense per game (575.6 ypg). Niles returns after catching 96 passes for 1,449 yards and 17 touchdowns last year. Wyant averaged 42.8 yards per punt in 2017, with a long of 66 yards. Four other programs landed two players each on the Starting Lineup: Baker: RB JD Woods and DB Nate McLaurin; Dickinson State: OL Jeff Fisher and DB Jay Liggins; Lindsey Wilson: KR Blake Ingleton and LB Trent Mueller; Reinhardt: OL Tre Coney and DL Tevin McCoy. Nineteen NAIA programs had at least one player selected to this year’s Starting Lineup. The College Football America 2018 Yearbook features more than 930 college football teams from the United States and Canada in more than 300 striking, full-color pages. That includes every team from the NCAA (FBS, FCS, Division II and Division III), NAIA, NJCAA, CCCAA and U Sports (Canada). It also includes updates on club football, one-year postgraduate prep/sports academies and Mexican college football, along with dozens of action shots and stadium photos taken by the CFA staff. The print edition is available online via Amazon.com and other major retailers such as Barnes & Noble and Books-A-Million. Additionally, an iBooks version for iPads and iPhones is available through Apple’s iTunes bookstore and the iBooks app. And, new this year, a Kindle version of the book is also available. 2018 Book links: Amazon.com: https://amzn.to/2Le7FKT BarnesandNoble.com: http://bit.ly/2LtndY4 For questions about College Football America, feel free to contact Webb or Postins via phone or email.
