2016-2017 DICKINSON ISD EXPECTATIONS

A student's appearance has much to do with the way the student feels about himself or herself. Appearance also affects the way in which other students respond to them and has a great deal to do with student success and the learning atmosphere of the school. The Dickinson ISD is established to teach grooming, hygiene, instill discipline and modesty, prevent disruption, avoid safety hazards, teach respect for authority, and prepare our students for the future.

The student’s appearance (, , accessories and grooming) shall not reflect gang affiliation, cause a distraction, nor conceal contraband. ADMINISTRATORS HAVE THE RESPONSIBILITY AND RIGHT TO DETERMINE APPROPRIATENESS OF ATTIRE AND GROOMING FOR THE SCHOOL SETTING.

GRADES PK-6

The Dickinson ISD Dress Code is established to teach grooming, hygiene, instill discipline and modesty, prevent disruption, avoid safety hazards, teach respect for authority, and prepare our students for the future.

The student’s appearance (clothing, shoes, accessories and grooming) shall not reflect gang affiliation, cause a distraction, nor conceal contraband. ADMINISTRATORS HAVE THE RESPONSIBILITY AND RIGHT TO DETERMINE APPROPRIATENESS OF ATTIRE AND GROOMING FOR THE SCHOOL SETTING.

GRADES 7-12
