2017-10-31 09:59 CET Tyler, The Creator and A Perfect Circle ready for NorthSide Sleaford Mods and Aurora will join them as the sale of one-day tickets starts Next year's festivals season was already kicked off in September with the announcement of five strong acts for NorthSide 2018, and now four more international acts are added that will ensure the line-up includes rock, hip hop, electronica, and punk. Tyler, The Creator Tyler Gregory Okonma was only 16 when he together with five friends formed the hip-hop collective Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All. The innovative group later became the home of Frank Ocean and Earl Sweatshirt, who both contributed to the group's only official release from 2012. At this point Tyler, The Creator’s solo career was already in full swing, because of the success of the single "Sandwitches" and the anarchist debut album "Goblins". Earlier this year Pitchfork called his latest album “Flower Boy” his “most accomplished album” yet and praised the rapper for revealing a more sincere and mature side. Tyler, The Creator is at an artistic peak right now and with his amazing ability to deliver extremely energetic shows, we expect we will witness something unique when hits the stage at NorthSide. Tyler, The Creator will play Saturday June 9th at NorthSide 2018 A Perfect Circle The American guitarist Billy Howerdel played a bunch of his songs for Maynard James Keenan in the mid 90's, which left the Tool-singer so excited that he formed the band A Perfect Circle with Howerdel. The two musicians then put a band together, which released "Mer de Noms" and secured them hits with the singles "Judith", "3 Libras", and "The Hollow". In the following years, Maynard James Keenan used breaks from Tool to record two more albums with A Perfect Circle before the band took a 10-year break. Since then, they have only sparingly played concerts primarily in the United States, but in the spring of 2017 it emerged that the band was getting ready to release their fourth album and embark on a world tour. A Perfect Circle has only visited Denmark once before, which was in 2000, where they played at the now defunct Midtfyns Festival. Therefore, it is a great pleasure to be able to invite the amazing band back after an eighteen- year break from Danish festivals. A Perfect Circle plays Friday June 8th on NorthSide 2018 The two American acts are joined by Sleaford Mods, who combine rap punk with electronic music and socially conscious lyrics, which are delivered in a unique and extremely hard-hitting way in a thick Nottingham accent. Their concerts are a constant bombardment of a working class lyrics delivered deftly by Jason Williamson, who impressively never allows a break neither for himself or the audience. Last addition this time around is Norwegian singer Aurora, who found massive popularity in her homeland with the debut album "All My Demons Greeting Me as a Friend". The popularity was increased even more so by the addition of the song "Conqueror" to the “Skam” soundtrack and a well received cover of the Oasis track “Half the World Away” in an ad campaign. That makes nine acts in total for NorthSide 2018 so far and due to the fact that one-day ticket sales have just been launched, the scheduled days for all artists are now available at NorthSide.dk. So far, the following acts have been announced for NorthSide 2018: A Perfect Circle - Aurora - Cigarettes After Sex - Deerhunter - Father John Misty - Queens of the Stone Age - Sleaford Mods - The National - Tyler, The Creator.
