On Monday 6th January staff received a day of training on teaching/supporting pupils with autism as part of a package of professional development linked to the SEND hub which will be opening at our school at some point in 2020.

Clubs will start in the 3rd week back and will run for 9 weeks, Reports will be sent home on Monday 30th March and Parents’ Evenings are set for Tuesday 31st March and Thursday 2nd April 2020.

I am still waiting for a date for my hip replacement. When I am away from school (though will still be contactable), Mr Brown and Mrs Jackson will take the reins with Mr Morris covering Willow Class for approximately 6 weeks.

The swimming pool will re-open next week, please can all children (except Birch and Oak) bring in both swimming and Forest school kits. The pool will not be open on a Monday (due to repair work taking place) until March, therefore we have arranged for Birch and Oak classes to have some ‘Fencing’ lessons. Please ensure your child has his/her PE kit in school (with tracksuit bottoms for the fencers). Hopefully, all swimming lessons will be back to normal by 23rd March 2020.
