That loss dropped the Bears to 5-5 on the season. The NE-10 #RoadtoSiouxFalls has three teams appearing, including conference champions No. 1 Bentley University (25-5), who will also take on hosting duties, No. 8 Saint Anselm (18-9) and No. 2 American International College (25-5). From the ECC are No. 4 Queens College (20-8), winners of their second consecutive conference championship and No. 6 NYIT (24-8). The CACC has three teams as well in No. 3 Philadelphia University (25-6), No. 5 Holy Family University (22-8) and No. 7 Bloomfield College (24-7). NYIT vs. THE FIELD The Bears post a 17-56 all-time record against this year’s East Region field. Against the field this year, the Bears are 2-2, with two wins over Queens College and dropping a game each to Bentley University and Holy Family. NYIT will take on Philadelphia University in the first round of this year’s tournament. Philadelphia is 18-5 all time against NYIT, including a 67- 66 victory in their last meeting on Nov. 15, 2009 in the Gallagher Center. The Rams have won the last three showdowns with the Bears. HEAD COACH ANTHONY CROCITTO Hofstra ‘95, Seventh Season Anthony Crocitto was named the sixth head women’s basketball coach at NYIT in 2009 and enters his seventh season at the helm of the Bears. In six seasons, he has compiled an 89-80 overall record and stands at 59-50 in the East Coast Conference. Last season, Crocitto and the Bears posted a 20-11 overall record for his second 20 + win season since becoming head coach.
