The ZHdK Strings are a young and dynamic ensemble with 15 to 18 of the best students from concert and soloists classes of the distingui- shed Zurich University of the Arts ‘ZHdK’ in Switzerland. Leader, orga- nizer and Professor of violin founded the Strings in 2005. The ZHdK Strings have already performed at various festivals and concert halls in Switzerland and Italy with renowned soloists such as Shlomo Mintz, Raphael Wallfisch, and David Johnson. The ZHdK Strings recorded 2 CD’s with Mozart, Dvorak, Bottesini and Zwicky (Swiss com- poser) works. In 2010 they were the first string ensemble in Europe to perform on the Violins of Hope, during the Violins of Hope exhibition at Sion Festival, a project initiated by Professor Jean Bonvin and Maestro Shlomo Mintz. In 2012 they made a tour to Korea, to accompany soloist and ZHdK graduate Donghwan Yoon, in May 2013 a tour to Turkey was organized to accompany soloist and ZHdK graduate Brusk Zanganeh.
