The resort looks forward to establishing an even stronger relationship with travel trade partners to continue the magical journey together. The resort has witnessed significant growth in guest numbers from Southeast Asia. Of the record- breaking 7.5 million guests who visited the resort during fiscal year 2014, 20% came from international markets including Thailand, which recorded 26% growth in attendance since fiscal year 2010. Less than three hours’ flight from Bangkok, Hong Kong Disneyland Resort is the closest Disney theme park to Thailand, making it uniquely accessible and affordable. The resort will continue to work hand in hand with the travel trade to welcome millions more guests from Thailand. Leading Disney tales into a new “Happily Ever After” territory The resort will introduce a series of celebratory activities to mark its 10th anniversary, including the all-new ‘Mickey and the Wondrous Book’ that will be launched on November 17. The new theatrical spectacular will take the magical Disney experience to a whole new level for guests. 1 "Mickey and the Wondrous Book" centers on Mickey Mouse’s adventure inside an enchanted book packed with beloved Disney tales like Frozen. The new and unique concert-style stage show features 22 original costume designs and many Disney characters that are making their debut stage appearance. The resort’s original 10th anniversary theme song, “Happily Ever After,” will be performed during the show, creating an interactive, magical and moving experience for guests. The story of “Mickey and the Wondrous Book” takes place in a magical library, where Mickey Mouse and his friend Goofy discover a magic book that can turn fantasy stories into reality, and they accidentally bring the snowman Olaf to life during their adventure. When Mickey attempts to return Olaf to his storybook, he instead gets pulled into the book, marking the start of a magical journey. Mickey travels through the magical fairy-tale worlds of seven of the most popular Disney tales, including The Jungle Book, The Little Mermaid, Tangled, Brave, Aladdin, The Princess and the Frog, and Frozen. Finally, Mickey enters the world of Frozen, successfully returning Olaf to his story. In addition to the new stage show, guests will be dazzled by an enhanced “Disney in the Stars” Fireworks show, made even more vibrant by cutting-edge technology, lighting effects, and state- of-the-art video projection shown on Sleeping Beauty Castle. The enhanced fireworks show will officially launch in November. The 10th anniversary celebratory journey also features new attractions such as the Fairy Tale Forest in Fantasyland in December, featuring miniature scenes from Tangled, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella and The Little Mermaid. Guests can also meet Tinker Bell here. This will be accompanied by various new “Happily Ever After” storybook photo spots, where guests will have greeting experiences with many Disney characters for the first time at Hong Kong Disneyland. Beloved Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and many more Disney characters will put on 10th anniversary costumes for the celebration, delivering a wonderful new experience that will leave guests with memories to treasure forever. Anniversary merchandise and food and beverages will continue the “Happily Ever After” story of the 10th anniversary. In addition to the new shows and attractions, there will be seasonal offerings for Christmas. • Hong Kong Disneyland Annual Business Review for the Fiscal Year 2016
HONG KONG DISNEYLAND ANNUAL BUSINESS REVIEW FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2016 KEY HIGHLIGHTS 1. Hong Kong Disneyland (“HKDL”) continues to play a pivotal role in making Hong Kong a top family-friendly tourist destination in Asia. The resort has received more than 64 million guests since its opening in September 2005, including 6.1 million in fiscal 2016. 2. During fiscal 2016, HKDL faced headwinds from continued softness in the overall Hong Kong travel and leisure market as well as the unfavourable comparison against fiscal 2015, which benefited from an additional week of operations (“Fiscal Period Impact”).1 Consequently, compared to prior year, attendance decreased 11%, revenues decreased 7% to HK$4.8 billion, and the net loss was HK$171 million. Excluding the Fiscal Period Impact, attendance and revenues were down by 9% and 5% respectively. 3. Despite challenging market conditions, HKDL is encouraged by its improved performance during the second half of fiscal 2016. Compared to the first half of the year, the year-over-year attendance decline eased and hotel occupancy improved in the second half of the year. Performance benefited from the June 2016 launch of “Star Wars: Tomorrowland Takeover”, which has been popular with guests of all ages, as well as marketing and sales initiatives. 4. Full year attendance from international guests increased to its second-highest level ever, illustrating the resort’s strength to attract tourism throughout Asia. Additionally, HKDL achieved record high per capita spending at the park, marking seven consecutive years of growth. 5. HKDL’s improvement has continued into fiscal 2017, with first quarter financial results above the prior-year period.

  • Cinderella Castle at Walt Disney World Resort Fact Sheet
Cinderella Castle at Walt Disney World Resort Fact Sheet Description: Cinderella Castle pays homage to the beloved story and characters from Disney’s 12th full-length animated feature film, “Cinderella,” which was released in theaters in 1950. Painted in traditional colors of grey, blue, and gold, the castle represents a romantic conception of a French palace-fortress. While the base of the castle resembles a medieval fortress typifying the Romanesque architecture and castles of the 11th through 13th centuries, the upper portion of the castle reflects the stately Gothic forms that were prominent in later centuries. Opening Date: October 1, 1971 Castle Height: 189 feet (tallest structure in Magic Kingdom Park) Construction: Cinderella Castle took approximately 18 months to build and was completed in July, 1971. The castle is made of concrete, steel, cement, plaster, and fiberglass. No bricks were used in the construction. The inner castle is structural steel covered with fiberglass. The foundation is concrete filled with foam for weight conservation Cinderella’s Royal Table: A circular stairwell or a themed elevator transports guests to Cinderella’s Royal Table, the elegant restaurant located on the second level of the castle where guests can meet Cinderella and some of her princess friends. Hosts and Hostesses address younger guests as “princes” or “princesses,” while adult guests are addressed as “lords” or “ladies.” Fun facts: For inspiration, Walt Disney Imagineering researchers turned to the famous palaces of Charles Perrault’s France, still showplaces of Europe. Their design took the form of a romanticized composite of such courts as Fontainebleau, Versailles, and a dozen famed chateaux of the Loire Valley.

6JAN201605190975 Fiscal Year 2015 Annual Financial Report And Shareholder Letter 10DEC201511292957 10DEC201400361461 Dear Shareholders, The Force was definitely with us this year! Fiscal 2015 was another triumph across the board in terms of creativity and innovation as well as financial performance. For the fifth year in a row, The Walt Disney Company delivered record results with revenue, net income and earnings per share all reaching historic highs once again. It’s an impressive winning streak that speaks to our continued leadership in the entertainment industry, the incredible demand for our brands and franchises, and the special place our storytelling has in the hearts and lives of millions of people around the world. All of which is even more remarkable when you remember that Disney first started entertaining audiences almost a century ago. The world certainly looks a lot different than it did when Walt Disney first opened shop in 1923, and so does the company that bears his name. Our company continues to evolve with each generation, mixing beloved characters and storytelling traditions with grand new experiences that are relevant to our growing global audience. Even though we’ve been telling our timeless stories for generations, Disney maintains the bold, ambitious heart of a company just getting started in a world full of promise. And it’s getting stronger through strategic acquisitions like Pixar, Marvel and Lucasfilm that continue to bring new creative energy across the company as well as the constructive disruptions of this dynamic digital age that unlock new opportunities for growth. Our willingness to challenge the status quo and embrace change is one of our greatest strengths, especially in a media market rapidly transforming with each new technology or consumer trend.
