First Impression By Mara Goodqold and Marc Petito We have all heard this cliche before, but what does it really mean? When does it really apply? Well, it is most important to make a lasting impression on the first day of school, on a first date, in the opening seconds of a varsity game, or even during a first job interview at The Office. We are all in top form, or at least we strive to be, for these special moments, knowing full well the impact they will have on our future. Each of these firsts brings with it new hopes and dreams. As we look ahead to Pasta Night, the Bonfire, the first wrestling match and the Prom, we anticipate feelings of accomplishment and joy as well as sadness for those who could not be with us to experience these special moments together. Luckily, this yearbook will forever remain a chronicle of the experiences that we at Cranford High School have shared. This yearbook therefore, will never represent an end. but will instead celebrate a year, colored bv vivid and Lasti n 2;.. Above Left: Making Music... <-j These two talented freshmen. Constantly looking for entertaining excursions, we frequently settled for marathon phone calls that lasted late into the night or we headed to Sam Goody to pick up the latest CD from Dare Mathews Band or Sublime. After chugging down a Slurpee at the Seven-Eleven, we gassed up at Sunoco and often flew down to Menlo Park Mall to catch the lastest adventure movie. Hoping to avoid inclement weather, we headed to Stowe in December to ski and relax. Others took entertaining field trips to Medieval Times or showed off in grueling dance competitions. Many of us were content to remain in Cranford though, and were psyched about skateboarding or playing frisbee in front of the high school after the last bell of the day.
