All you need to know about St. Francis Youth Fun, Retreat, and Mission Our life toward heaven is a journey. Let’s travel the road together!

See page 6 for the High School boys’ Discernment Retreat.

Be a Youth Mentor! Is a still, small voice calling you? Have you been wondering where and how you can serve the Lord? Have you been thinking the time is now?

If so, now is the time for you to sign up for the new Middle School and/or High School Core teams!

We are looking for people who are open to learning, have a heart open to the Lord, and a willingness to serve. If you can give a testimony or life story, smile, lead games, have a gift for creativity or service or hospitality, if you like to call people, if you can lead small groups, sing, play an instrument.... whatever the gift the Lord has given you, it can be used in God's service to the youth of our community.

You must be age 17 and up in order to serve. The high school ministry is looking for mentors. The youth program cannot grow without you. Your heart, your voice, your presence, your smile are always needed and always welcome.

REGISTRATION HAS BEGUN! Sacramental Preparation Classes grades 6-12

1st COMMUNION/BAPTISM/CONFIRMATION AT ST. FRANCIS OF ASSISI CATHOLIC CHURCH

The St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church Philosophy: We are here to guide, teach, and support you as your child prepares for the sacraments. It is essential to keep in mind that the Church has always considered parents to be the primary educators in the work of forming their children’s faith. Program Requirements St Francis of Assisi offers classes for parents of older children who are still in need of Confirmation or Confirmation/First Holy Communion. Classes will be on the 2nd and 4th Sundays after the 8 AM Mass (9:15 – 10:45) starting October 12 and ending May 19. Parents will get to know one another and their faith in order to pass it on to their families. The first class each month will be Faith Formation and Catholicism. The second class each month will review the materials to be taught to your child the following month. Youth in 6th – 12th grades are required to attend either the EDGE or the YDisciple youth programs, one designated retreat, and will have other fun opportunities to grow in their Catholic faith throughout the year. Regular attendance is required. Over 3 absences may result in the student being removed from the sacramental preparation program. Sacramental Preparation is a 2-year program throughout the diocese. If you have already received First Holy Communion and the Sacrament of Reconciliation, you have completed one year. 2 years: Reconciliation, Confirmation and Eucharist. 1 year: Confirmation only. How to Register Registration forms are found in the Narthex. Forms and more information can be found on our website. Questions? Contact Sandy Gross at [email protected]
