Comment The Contessa 32 'Afrita' was built in 1978 and is in very good condition with a substantial ongoing refit since 2006. The Contessa 32 was introduced in 1971 and remains in production, with more than 700 of these splendid craft built. Viewing is highly recommended.

Accommodations Accommodation is for six persons in two cabins. The forward cabin has two single berths in the usual 'V' configuration. The two singles convert to a large double berth with an infill when required. Head with Lavac sea toilet (pump new 2011), wash hand basin, fresh water by manual pump. Large hanging wet locker. Main saloon with two settee berths and quarter berth. The port settee berth converts to a double. Chart table to starboard at after end of the saloon facing forward. Galley to port at the after end of the saloon with easy clean work surfaces and fitted with gas cooker featuring a two ring hob, grill and oven. Stainless steel sink with manual fresh water pump and in-line water filter. Two large cool boxes. Ample storage . The dining area will seat a full crew and is local to the galley for ease of catering and entertaining. Oil and electric lamps in saloon.

Sails and rigging The vessel is rigged and the stepped and boom are alloy. All standing rigging in stainless steel, and replaced along with new bottle screws in 2009. All running rigging (including Dyneema main halyard and outhaul) is in good order, having been replaced 2007 to 2011. Adjustable back stay. Harken Mark IV headsail roller reefing system (New 2009). One Genoa (roller reefed). One Jeckells Marblehead Mainsail with 3 slab reefs (New 2010). One Storm jib. Two Spinnakers. Two further mainsails. Two No.1 Genoa Two No 3 Genoa.

Engine and machinery 18 H.P. Volvo Penta Diesel engine. Cruising speed 5 knots. Maximum speed 7 Knots. Fuel capacity 44 Ltrs. 12 volt electrical system with twin 120Ah house batteries (new 2011) and single 75Ah engine start battery. Charged via engine driven alternator. Merlin Smartgauge battery monitor (New 2010) 240 Volt shore power fitted, protected by RCBO (all new 2007). Yamaha Malta 3.5 H.P. outboard.
