CONCESSIONS

Applications are to be submitted via the booking by Mayco. Commercial - constitutes any office. usage where revenue is generated. Events involving fundraising are not entitled to request concessions unless they have complied with the Concessions Standard Operating Procedure.
1.1 Rebates on Film Permits: If for Cape Town Marketing or Student Film, 100% Numbering amended to 1.1 rebate may be applied in consultation with Cape Town Film Permit Office.
SPECIAL CONDITION The booking, for fund raising and commercial purposes, of resorts, coastal facilities, parks or sections thereof, where traditionally high volumes of communities make use of such facilities during season and public holidays, is not permitted. This prohibition is applicable particularly where such organisations, individuals or entities will exclude the general public from making use of the facilities and/or where an entrance fee is applicable. Events and activities formally supported by the City are not affected

EVENTS
Event application may not be processed or allocated an Event Organiser reference number without venue confirmation letter by the venue owner. Events may only proceed upon receipt of events permit obtainable from Events Office. Conditions of hire for sportsfields as well as consideration of facility user priority are applicable upon consideration of events permit. In addition to a deposit being charged, the Event Organiser must sign a consent form which obliges the Event Organiser full responsibility and accountability for field damages caused by the event. Event Organiser is liable for cost of post event reinstatement where applicable.
No parking allowed on Green Point Common fields during events to preserve fields for high sporting demand Refundable deposit for events for 1 to 5 fields = 50% of hire fee. Deposit to increase by 20% per field in excess of 5 fields used. Commercial tariffs applicable to all revenue generating events Non commercial tariffs applicable to all non-revenue generating events. Preparation and dismantling shall form part of the letting period for events and Statement moved from under Consessions shall be charged at 20% of the applicable tariff. The preparation and dismantling period shall not exceed 2 days. Where an excess of 2 days is required, written approval must be obtained from the Director Recreation & Parks prior to confirmation of the booking.
