Officers Keen to Identify Driver of Car in Connection with Five Oaks Fatal Collision (Please do not reply or forward this email directly; please use the Reply, Share buttons at the bottom of this message) Message sent by Lindsey Wine (Police, NPT Co-ordinator, Sussex) 29th August 2017 News and appeals Officers keen to identify driver of car in connection with Five Oaks fatal collision Police are keen to trace the driver of this car (please follow link to see the vehicle) in connection with a fatal collision in Five Oaks. The dark coloured vehicle – possibly a BMW, a Vauxhall or an Alfa Romeo – was captured on CCTV driving east out of Five Oaks on the A264 on Thursday (17 August). At about 8.10pm, a green Ford Focus also travelling east came off the carriageway and into woodland, ending up on its roof. No other vehicles were involved in the collision. 19-year-old Fraser Hallam, from Pulborough, who was a passenger in the Focus, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. A second passenger, a 19-year-old man from Billingshurst, suffered serious injuries. The driver, a 22-year-old man from Billingshurst, sustained minor injuries. He was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has been released under investigation. Sergeant Alan Spicer, of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “We would like to speak to the driver of this unknown vehicle which was travelling east on the A264 just prior to the collision.
