Prosenjit's detailed Filmogrpahy • He first appeared in his father’s production Chhoto Jiggasha when he was only four years old. • He has played hero opposite more than 50 leading ladies till date • He has shared screen space with senior artists like Asit Baran, Rabin Majumdar, UttamKumar. • His first film as hero was in a film called Duti Pata when he was barely 16 o In the beginning, Prosenjit was a part of professional theatre and did several plays. He started his career with theatre. He acted in ‘Charmurtir Goendagiri’ by Shyamal Sen. He also acted under direction of Premendu Bose, Asit Bose (in ‘Sonar Taree’). The team of Rangmahal theatre came up to him with a request to act in a play to save the theatre from financial crisis. He obliged them. o He acted with senior actors like Mahendra Gupta, Sarajubala, Gyanesh Mukherjee, Haridhan, Debnarayan, Kamal Mitra (in ‘Sonar Khoj’). o After watching the play ‘Sonar Khoj’, he got the first offer to act in the film ‘Duti Pata’ o He did radio plays – Chitchor by Jagannath Basu. More famous if Gautam Susmit for making numerous loud musical tunes in Bengali Films. It is surprsing that Ghar Jamai released the same day with another Prasenjit movie Khela by Rituporna Ghosh.
