Vorbereitung am Nokia Auf dem Testgerät ist die aktuelle Firmware 2.0618.06.05 installiert. Upgrades sollten ggf. von einem Nokia Fachhändler durchgeführt werden. Vorbereitung am PC 1. Installation der Nokia PC-Suite Zunächst wurde die PC-Suite von der mitgelieferten CD installiert. Diese erkannte jedoch das Nokia E61 nicht und konnte die erforderlichen Treiber nicht installiert. Mit der aktuellen PC-Suite 6.81.13.0 funktioniert dies jedoch reibungslos. 2. Herstellen der Verbindung mit dem Nokia E61 Nach der Installation startet der Verbindungsassistent der PC-Suite. Erst jetzt sollte das Gerät per Kabel, Infrarot oder Bluetooth mit dem PC verbunden werden. 27.09.2006 Seite 2 von 6 Tipps und Tricks BlackBerry Connect Nokia E61 Stefan Teppert 3. Sychronisieren Nachdem die Verbindung erfolgreich hergestellt wurde ist die Sychronisation für die Kontakte und ggf. Notizen einzurichten, da der Blackberry Connect Client diesen Abgleich nicht unterstützt. Dies geschieht in der Nokia PC-Suite unter Synchronisieren -> Einstellungen. Hier die Einstellungen Outlook, Kontakte und ggf. Notizen entsprechend vornehmen. Durch einen Klick auf „Jetzt Synchronisieren“ wird die Synchronisation gestartet. Die Information über die richtige Kombination, sowie den Client erhalten Sie auf der Business Seite von Nokia: http://www.businesssoftware.nokia.com/blackberry.php • Nokia S60PR2 BlackBerry Connect 6.28.1_2(.SISX, 1,5 MB) NOTE: You need software version 2.618.06.05 on your device. • Nokia S60PR1 BlackBerry Connect 6.28.1(.SISX, 1,5 MB) NOTE: You need software version 1.610.04.04 on your device. • Nokia S60 BlackBerry Connect 6.18.0_3(.SISX, 1,5 MB) NOTE: You need software version 1.610.04.04 on your device. • In order to use this software, you also need the BlackBerry Connect Desktop software for your PC (see below). Firmware Version: Die installierte Version bekommt man durch Eingabe von *#0000# am Handheld. Die Installation kann über die PC-Suite erfolgen -> Anwendungen installieren. Den Speicherort der Software auswählen und die Installation mit einem Klick auf den grünen Pfeil zu starten. 27.09.2006 Seite 4 von 6 Tipps und Tricks BlackBerry Connect Nokia E61 Stefan Teppert Am E61 die Installation der BlackBerry Software zu bestätigen. Nach erfolgreicher Installation erscheint am Handheld „Installation abgeschlossen“. Die Connect Software muss nun wie folgt gestartet werden: 1. Mit dem Menü-Button in das Menü wechseln. 2. Mitteilungen -> Optionen -> Einstellungen -> E-Mail -> BlackBerry 3. In der ersten Einstellung muss der BlackBerry-Dienst auf „Ein“ gestellt werden. 4. Durch drücken auf „zurück“ die Einstellungen speichern und wieder verlassen. Das Gerät ist für den BlackBerry-Dienst bereit, wenn die Icons GPRS und BlackBerry auf dem Display des Handhelds erscheinen. Installation der BlackBerry Connect Desktop Software auf dem PC Verwendet wurde die Version 2.1.1.17. Während der Installation Microsoft Exchange als E-Mail-System auswählen. 27.09.2006 Seite 5 von 6 Tipps und Tricks BlackBerry Connect Nokia E61 Stefan Teppert Nach dem Starten der Software auf „Verbinden“ klicken. Jetzt wird man aufgefordert durch bewegen der Maus einen neuen Schlüssel zu generieren. Danach wird der Kalender auf das E61 übertragen. Dies betrifft jedoch nur Kalendereinträge in der Zukunft. Weiterhin kann über den Desktop Client eine Sigantur hinterlegt oder die abzugleichenden Outlook-Ordner festgelegt (Reiter: Erweitert) werden. Synchronisationseinstellungen am Handheld In der Connect Software des Handhelds können Einstellungen vorgenommen werden, ob sich das Gerät und der Server gegenseitig aktualisieren, wenn eMails gelesen oder gelöscht werden. 1. Mit dem Menü-Button in das Menü wechseln. 2. Mitteilungen -> Optionen -> Einstellungen -> E-Mail -> BlackBerry 3. Option Per Funk abstimmen -> BlackBerry wählen 4. Status geles./ungeles.: auf Ein oder Aus stellen 5. Gelöschte: auf Ein oder Aus stellen 6. Löschen von: auf Nur Telefon oder Telefon und Server stellen. Nun ist der BlackBerry-Dienst vollständig eingerichtet und kann verwendet werden. 27.09.2006 Seite 6 von 6 .

This report examines the practices of the wireless industry with an eye toward understanding their influence on innovation and consumer welfare. In many respects, the mobile wireless market is and remains a wonder. Thanks to both policy and technological innovations, devices that were science fiction 30 years ago are now widely available. Over the last decade, wireless mobile has been an “infant industry,” attempting to achieve economies of scale. That period is over: Today, in the United States, there are more than 200 million mobile subscribers, and mobile revenues are over $100 billion. As the industry and platform mature, the wireless industry warrants a new look. This report finds a mixed picture. The American wireless industry, over the last decade, has succeeded in bringing wireless telephony at competitive prices to the public. Yet at the same time, we also find the wireless carriers in the United States aggressively controlling product design and innovation in the equipment and application markets, to the detriment of consumers.
