This is found by taking each letter grade and converting it into its numerical value (A-4, B-3, C-2, D-1 and E-0). All values are added together than divided by the number of classes to determine the student athletes’ GPA in a 4.00 scale. Of course, AP classes are weighted due to the rigger of the subject. Below is the list of all Varsity athletes that achieved this award and a list of all those Junior Varsity athletes that met the GPA requirements. I want to thank my coaches, my teammates, the program, and Coach Sneade. Thank you for providing me the opportunity to come out and kick for the program. I enjoyed every single minute of it, from practice to games, everything. I’m very thankful to have shared the field with my teammates and I have made some incredible and unforgettable memories over the last two years.     The Lion’s Tale December 3, 2010 Leo Junior/Senior High School Volume LIII Issue IX Lions’ monumental season makes history By Rachel Burtnett Editor-in-chief On Nov. 5, the Leo Lions varsity football team made history when they ventured to Eastbrook High School and defeated the Panthers, ranked first in the state of Indiana. This Sectionals victory is only the second in Leo Jr. /Sr. High School history. In the first game of sectionals at Norwell, Leo’s all-time leading rusher senior Connor Kacsor suffered a torn ACL. It wasn't exactly the big time but, as his wife reminded him, he was doing what he loved for a living and how many people can boast that? Still, he says, there was something he felt was missing from the big picture. ?She said I should be thankful for that,? says Hicks. ?She was right, as usual, and as soon as I let go of all that pressure and expectation on myself, and disappointment, the phone rang and I was headed to Nashville.? The last three years have been something of a watershed for Hicks as he prepares to headline the finals of the Hoedown Showdown under the big Hoedown tent on Friday, September 12, as the prelude to the main event on the Saturday night. After plugging away at his passion for 17 years, he was nominated as Rising Star in the 2013 Canadian Country Music Association Awards, followed up by Juno nominations for Breakthrough Artist of the Year and Country Album of the Year and, most recently, he racked up four further CCMA Awards, including Album of the Year and Songwriter of the Year. He has come a long way since he first found a love of music accompanying his great-grandmother's church music as they both played the organ in her parlour.
