The Joe Niekro foundation is committed to raising awareness and funding for brain aneurysm research and treatment. Every strikeout collected by pitchers in the AFL from the Astros, Braves, Cubs, Padres, Tigers, Twins and Yankees will be tallied and a $36 dollar donation will be made. Through Monday, there have been six strikeouts made for a total of $216 dollars raised.
