The directions contained in the Roads (Speed Limit) Order (Northern Ireland), 1956(b), relative to the lehgthsof road specified in the First Schedl:lle to this Order are hereby revoked. 2. Each of the lengths of road specified in the Second Schedule shall be a restricted road for the purposes oJ the said section twenty-three. 3.     Antrim Coast Field Trip 9th-11th September 2011 Joint trip Walton Hall and Ireland OUGS Branches Led by Rosalie Grainger and Phyllis Turkington This was a trip I had waited a long time for. It had been seven years since I had visited the lovely coastline of County Antrim, Northern Ireland. In September 2011, with the help of Rosalie Grainger and Phyllis Turkington, Walton Hall Branch returned to the region to share the visit with members of Ireland Branch. Rosalie and Phyllis, knowing beforehand the route we would take from Belfast International Airport to reach our accommodation near the Giant’s Causeway, gave us some suggestions of places we might visit along the way. Phyllis passed to me a report she had prepared from a previous trip that took in interesting locations on the east coast at Sallagh Braes (near Carncastle, Ballygally), Minnis North and Garron Point. Rosalie suggested we take lunch at Carnlough and then visit Cushendun, Loughareema and Ballycastle. Great place names. It worked really well. We saw it all and the trip proper hadn’t even started! Sallagh Braes We drove (without stopping) from the airport out via Templepatrick to Larne, then turned north along the coast road.     ANTRIM COAST & GLENS Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty MANAGEMENT PLAN 2020-2030 FOREWORD **Foreword to be completed once Plan is at final stage of review EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Introduction Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) designations help to protect, conserve, enhance, promote and facilitate public access to landscapes of national importance. AONBs are designated under the Nature Conservation and Amenity Lands Order (Northern Ireland) 1985 (NCALO). Antrim Coast and Glens AONB was designated in 1988 and is one of eight AONBs across Northern Ireland. Why is a Management Plan needed and how should it be used? Management Plans are a key mechanism for co-ordinating effective management of AONB landscapes. This Management Plan reflects statutory policies and plans; it aims to direct stakeholder actions to protect the unique character of Antrim Coast and Glens AONB and its natural, built and cultural heritage. It presents a vision, aims and objectives for the AONB over the next 10 years.
