This condition does not only occur in Indonesia but also in almost all other countries. In Indonesia itself, various sectors faced unavoidable constraints, both in the formal and informal sectors, which have to stop their activities due to unfavorable conditions. The strengthening of entrepreneurship offers a way out of poverty for poor and vulnerable (P&V) groups – it can help them to increase their income, create new economic opportunities not just for themselves but for others in their communities, and contribute to the broader Indonesian economy. JAPRI works with these groups to develop, trial, and implement approaches to promote entrepreneurship. JAPRI is implemented by a consortium led by Institute of International Education (IIE), who works together with implementing partners: Prestasi Junior Indonesia (PJI), Mien R. Uno Foundation (MRUF), Kelompok Perempuan dan Sumber-sumber Kehidupan (KPS2K), dan Himpunan Wanita Disabilitas Indonesia (HWDI). JAPRI also works with local governments and universities to identify potential P&V participants who would benefit from entrepreneurship growth activities. Finally, to increase effectiveness and support sustainability in promoting entrepreneurship, JAPRI has also opened communication with the private sector in its activities, recognizing the role the private sector plays in developing business enabling environments. Between October 2019 and September 2020, JAPRI successfully implemented a series of key activities in West Java, Central Java, and East Java to promote entrepreneurship and encourage the creation of new businesses. JAPRI’s achievements include: Full Implementation ● 2,812 youth with new business or an improved business. ● 96 people from universities, community groups and local governments are qualified entrepreneurship trainers and business coaches to [please add statements that lead to your objective such as help the growth of youth entrepreneurs or promote entrepreneurship, etc]. ● 7,026 youth developed their entrepreneurial knowledge that will help them develop a business plan. ● 4,871 youth have access to business mentoring and coaching which will enable them to start or grow their business. W-GDP ● 157 women have a new business. ● 724 women increased their business earnings. ● 881 microenterprises supported by USG assistance ● 74 women legalized their business. The business licenses were mostly in the form of SKU (Business Certificate) issued by the local government and NIB (Business Identification Number) or IUMK (Small/Micro Business License) issued by the national government through online registration. ● 99.7% male participants increased their agreement with the concept that males and females should have equal access to social, economic, and political resources and opportunities. ● 52 people from universities, community groups and local governments are qualified entrepreneurship trainers and business coaches. ● 1,870 women developed their entrepreneurial knowledge. ● 1,786 women improved skills in the process of developing their business plans. ● 786 male beneficiaries were trained to become effective allies of women entrepreneurship. One of the JAPRI’s key successes to continue activities and achieve targets was its ability to adapt to the Annual Report FY20 4 Cooperative Agreement No. AID-497-A-17-00005 JAdi Pengusaha MandiRI (JAPRI) Program pandemic. The pandemic forced the Government of Indonesia to issue a large-scale social distancing regulation and stopped all JAPRI activities during March through June 2020. JAPRI took the advantage of this temporary break to re-strategize, test, and develop tools to support the new implementation strategy. Starting in July 2020, JAPRI continued its activities with the new implementation strategy as follows: 1. Adjustment in the entrepreneurship training (ET) component – development and uploading of videos from the JAPRI entrepreneurship module. The online ET is expected to be delivered for a total of 8 hours,
