Cincinnati Reds Sweepstakes (The “Sweepstakes”) Official Rules CINCINNATI REDS SWEEPSTAKES (THE “SWEEPSTAKES”) OFFICIAL RULES NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. MAKING A PURCHASE WILL NOT IMPROVE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. By participating in the Sweepstakes, each entrant (“Entrant”) unconditionally accepts and agrees to comply with, and abide by these Official Rules; the decisions of Big Lots Stores, Inc. (“Sponsor”), which shall be final and binding in all respects. SWEEPSTAKES ENTRY PERIOD: The Sweepstakes begins on Thursday, August 1, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) and ends on Monday, August 26, 2019 at 11:59 p.m. ET (“Sweepstakes Period”). ELIGIBILITY: The Sweepstakes is open to legal residents of Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky who are age 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees of the Sponsor, The Cincinnati Reds LLC (“Cincinnati Reds”), the other MLB Entities (defined below) and each of their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates and any other entity engaged in the development, production or distribution of promotional materials for this Sweepstakes, and members of each of their immediate families (spouses, parents, grandparents, children, siblings and their respective spouses) and those living in the same household of each are not eligible to participate or win a prize. The “MLB Entities” shall mean the Office of the Commissioner of Baseball (“BOC”), its Bureaus, Committees, Subcommittees and Councils, MLB Advanced Media, L.P. (“MLBAM”), Major League Baseball Properties, Inc., The MLB Network, LLC, the Major League Baseball Clubs (“Clubs”), each of their parent, subsidiary, affiliated and related entities, any entity which, now or in the future, controls, is controlled by, or is under common control with the Clubs or the BOC, and the owners, general and limited partners, shareholders, directors, officers, employees and agents of the foregoing entities. The Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. In the event that the Sweepstakes is challenged by any regulatory authority, Sponsor reserves the right to discontinue or modify the Sweepstakes or to disqualify participants in the affected geographic areas. Void outside the states listed above and where prohibited or restricted by law, rule or regulation. TO ENTER: During the Sweepstakes Period, visit biglots.com/cincinnatireds, choose your favorite Cincinnati Reds play from the past 150 years, and fill out the entry form with first name, last name, email address, date of birth, and zip code (“Entry”). Entrants’ choice of favorite Cincinnati Reds play has no bearing on the determination of winners. Entrants will be given equal opportunity, despite their choice of favorite play, to be entered into the Sweepstakes for a chance to be selected at random from among all eligible Entries. Limit one (1) Entry per email address. All Entries must be received by the close of the Sweepstakes Period. The computer clock of Sponsor’s administrator is the official timekeeping devise of the Sweepstakes. PRIZES/APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE (“ARV”)/ODDS: Three (3) prizes will be awarded based on the order of random selection determined by Sponsor at its sole discretion as follows: First Prize: One (1) winner will receive: One (1) one hundred dollar ($100) Big Lots gift card, subject to terms and conditions associated with its use - $100 Two (2) Cincinnati Reds bobbleheads, one (1) of Joe Morgan and one (1) of Barry Larkin - $36 each One (1) Cincinnati Reds pullover - $35 1 | Page One (1) Cincinnati Reds 150 Years baseball hat - $25 Two (2) Cincinnati Reds t-shirts - $20 each Four (4) tickets for first prize winner and three (3) guests for the Cincinnati Reds regular season home game on September 21, 2019 - $160 total One (1) 1 autographed baseball signed by one (1) 2019 Cincinnati Reds player determined by Sponsor at its sole discretion - $70 TOTAL ARV of first prize: $502. TRANSPORTATION TO/FROM THE GAME/EVENT/EXHIBITION AND LODGING IS NOT INCLUDED. The total ARV of all prizes to be awarded: $1,116.00. Odds of winning will depend upon the total number of eligible Entries received. WINNER SELECTION & NOTIFICATION: The potential winners will be selected in a random drawing from among all eligible Entries received by Sponsor. Sponsor’s decisions are final and binding. The potential winners will be notified via email from [email protected] within one week of the Sweepstakes Period. Potential winners will be required to confirm their name and mailing address to Big Lots via email within 24 hours of notification. Prizes will be awarded within one week after all winners are verified. Noncompliance will result in disqualification and an alternative potential winner may be selected from among all remaining eligible Entries. If a selected potential winner fails to claim the prize or if a selected potential winner cannot accept or receive the prize for any reason, or he/she is not eligible or otherwise in compliance with these Official Rules, the prize will be forfeited and an alternate potential winner may be randomly selected from among all 2 | Page remaining eligible Entries at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. If Sponsor’s attempt to contact a potential winner fails to reach a potential winner for any reason or if the potential winner fails to respond to the notification as directed, or otherwise fails to comply with these Official Rules, the potential winner will be disqualified and an alternate potential winner may be randomly selected from among all remaining eligible Entries at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. PRIZE CONDITIONS: Prizes may not be redeemed for cash. Prizes are non-assignable and nontransferable. No substitutions are permitted. No cash in lieu of prize and no exchange of prize, except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. Any other incidental expenses on prize not specified herein are each winner’s sole responsibility. Prize conditions for the first prize: TRANSPORTATION TO/FROM THE GAME, EVENT OR EXHIBITION AND LODGING NOT INCLUDED. Seat locations at the game and exact game/event/exhibition dates shall be determined in the sole discretion of Cincinnati Reds. First prize winner’s guests must be of legal age of majority in their jurisdictions of residence (and at least eighteen (18) years of age), unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Major League Baseball game, event and exhibition dates and times are determined in the sole discretion of the BOC and/or the applicable Club, as applicable, and may be subject to change. The terms and conditions of the tickets awarded as part of the first prize will govern in the event a legal game, event or exhibition, as defined by Major League Baseball, is not played or held, as applicable, due to weather conditions, an act of God, an act of terrorism, civil disturbance or any other reason. First prize winner and his/her guests agree to comply with all applicable ballpark and venue, as applicable, regulations in connection with the first prize. Sponsor and the applicable MLB Entities reserve the right to remove or to deny entry to the first prize winner and/or his/her guests who engage(s) in a non- sportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person at the game, event or exhibition. Released Parties (defined below) will not be responsible for weather conditions, Acts of God, acts of terrorism, civil disturbances, work stoppage or any other natural disaster outside their control that may cause the cancellation or postponement of any Major League Baseball game, event or exhibition. Major League Baseball game, event and exhibition tickets awarded as prizes may not be resold or offered for resale or used for any commercial or promotional purpose whatsoever. Any such resale or commercial or promotional use may result in disqualification and first prize forfeiture, and may invalidate the license granted by the game, event or exhibition tickets. Winners are responsible for all federal, provincial, state, local and income taxes associated with winning prize(s). Winners acknowledge that the Sponsor, the MLB Entities and all other businesses affiliated with or participating in this Sweepstakes and their agents do not make, nor are in any manner responsible for any warranty, representations, expressed or implied, in fact or in law, relative the quality, conditions, fitness or merchantability of any aspect of any prize (or portion thereof) being offered, except that each merchandise prize shall be subject to its manufacturer’s standard warranty (if any). Except where prohibited by law, entry and acceptance of prize(s) constitute permission to use winner's name, prize won, hometown, likeness, video tape, photographs, and statements for purposes of advertising, promotion and publicity (including online posting) in any and all media whatsoever now or 3 | Page hereafter known throughout the world in perpetuity, without additional compensation, notification or permission.

Luis Castillo has every chance to have a breakout 2018 campaign. His 3-7 record in '17 is deceptive, as his other numbers show he was solid. He posted a 3.12 ERA in 15 starts (eight quality starts), with a 1.075 WHIP over 89 1/3 innings. This all came after being promoted to the big leagues from Double-A, skipping a Triple-A stint. Beyond the numbers, Castillo is 24 years old and already seems to have command of four pitches. The right-hander can regularly top 98-100 mph and then beat hitters with the secondary stuff -- namely a changeup or slider. He also has a great tempo that the defense enjoys working behind. Can you speculate as to the future of Devin Mesoraco in Cincinnati? I assume Stuart Turner will be in Triple-A next year since the Reds were able to keep him on the Major League roster all of 2017? -- Tom G., Alexandria, Ky. Mesoraco will be entering the final season of his four-year, $28 million contract. Over the first three years of that deal, hip, shoulder and foot injuries decimated his ability to play and produce, and he has played just 95 games with 57 starts.
