Åland School Travel package 2021

Åland School trip package offer including ferry trip -Mariehamn-Turku, two nights at guest house Pensionat Solhem, rental bicycles, exiting activities and a complete meal program.

Day 1 - optional date during the period 3.5-3.10.2021 08.15 Check-in at Line’s terminal in Turku. 08.45 Departure from Turku to Mariehamn with M/S Amorella 12.00 Viking-buffet-lunch including soft drinks/water/milk in the ferry's buffet restaurant. 14.10 Arrival at ’s ferry terminal in Mariehamn, west harbor. 14.15 Distribution of rental bicycles at Ro-No Rent rent beside the Viking Line terminal. 14.25 Departure (on rental bicycles) from Ro-No-Rent to Pensionat Solhem. 14.25 Luggage transport from Ro-No to Solhem by RoNo’s service car. 14.45 Arrival and check-in at Pensionat Solhem (at Lökskärsvägen 18 in a rural environment near the sea, 3 kilometers south of Viking Line ferry terminal and Mariehamn town centre). Opportunity for (free) activities such as ball games, fishing/angling, rowing, swimming on Solhem's large yard and beach. 18.00 Dinner with salad, home cooked main course & milk/water in the dining room of Solhem. Opportunity to discover the surroundings around Solhem and in Mariehamn by foot or on a bicycle. 21.00 Tea and sandwich in Solhem’s dining room. Overnight stay in multi bedrooms (double or single rooms for accompanying adults).

Day 2 08.00 Breakfast in Solhem’s dining room. 10.00 Bicycle excursion on your own (there are many destinations to cycle to – as you can see at the official tourism portal of Åland). 12.00 Lunch with salad, main course, ice water/milk and coffee in a suitable place along the route (or your own lunch basket packed in Solhem's kitchen). 17.00 Dinner with salad, home cooked main course & milk/water in Solhem’s dining room. 12.00 Sausage barbecue on Solhem’s beach. Overnight stay, night-2 at Solhem.

Day 3 08.00 Breakfast in Solhem’s dining room. Time for your own activities (many tips at Visit Åland) or some extra activity according to the suggestions below. 11.30 Lunch buffet (vegetarian/meat/fish) with ice water/milk and coffee at Restaurant Arkipelag in Mariehamn town centre. 13.30 Luggage transport from Solhem to Ro-No (by Ro-No’s service car). 13.45 Bicycle return at Ro-No’s office. 13.55 Check-in at Viking Line’s ferry terminal. 14.25 Departure from Mariehamn to Turku witch Viking Line's flag ship M/S Viking Grace. 15.00 Viking-buffet-dinner including soft drink(water/milks in the ferry's Restaurant Aurora. 19.50 Arrival at Viking Line terminal in Turku.

You can also travel to Åland, if you so wish (for an additional charge), by ’s morning departure from Turku to Mariehamn or by any of ’s daily flights from /Vantaa to Mariehamn.

For an additional charge you also can travel from Åland by Tallink Silja Line’s afternoon departure from Mariehamn to Turku or by M/S Gabriella or M/S Mariella at 23.45 from Mariehamn arrival at Helsinki next morning at 10.10 or by any Finnair flight Mariehamn-Helsinki/Vantaa (flight time only 50 minutes).
